A/N: Personal fic. Kai's feelings at the news that Tala's trying to commit suicide.

'Do you know what it's like to have only one friend in your year and the rest are older than you? Do you know what it's like to have that one friend up and say he's going to commit suicide every now and then? Do you know what it's like to get a text message from another older friend saying that it's that time? Do you know what it's like to get a call from the same older friends saying that he isn't answering his phone and that his home phone is out of service? Do you know what it's like to realize that he turned his phone off and there's an actual chance that he might succeed?

Your blood pumps hard through you, your chest is tight. Every time you breathe it feels like your throat is on fire, your head begins to hurt. Everything seems to be spiraling out of control…and the worst part? You had an hour-long chat with him the evening before and you contemplating calling him that very evening. You sit before the computer and begin a narrative of how you feel…like you're betraying him by choosing an inanimate object over him. But it's how the tension goes…or rather, it doesn't.

You attempt another call but it still doesn't go through. The throat is closing up, you head is aching dully and you can't do anything. He usually pulls through but you can never be sure. You can only hope.'

"Please, Tala…don't do anything stupid…I need you, Bryan needs you, Spencer needs you…hell! Ian needs you!" Kai set his head on the desk…all he could do was wait.
