So I haven't updated this story in over a year but don't think I haven't forgotten about it. In my mind Kakashi and Chidori will always be together, but unfortunately I have lost almost all interest in Naruto. Because of this, I have found it very difficult to write anything for my Naruto stories and most of what I have written I wasn't not happy with at all.
If you haven't figured it out by now, then yes, I am officially discontinuing this and all of my Naruto stories. Will I ever decided to repeal the discontinuation and finish the story? Maybe, but probably not.
Please, do not ask if you can adopt this story from me. I thought about that for a long time and in the end I just wouldn't be comfortable with someone taking the reigns for this story. I know, it may seem selfish to some but as a writer it's my choice.
Lastly, as a reader I know how much I hate it when a story I love goes discontinued and I never know the ending. So, I have decided that I will give a summary of what was going to happen as well as posting the two small parts I did have written. But, because I am doing this is why I will most likely never return to this story. While the ideas and the characters will remain in my head, to me the story will be done and over with. I won't worry about it anymore.
I feel the need to apologize to my readers, especially those that have been waiting so long for this update. You have no idea how much gratitude I have to you for being so patient and staying with me all this time. I am sorry, but there just isn't a way that I could go on writing this story and have it be the same story that you have liked and loved all this time.
I think that about sums things up, so I'll go on with the summary now.

SUMMARY
PART I
In the fight with the Sand ninja, Chidori is seriously injured saving Kakashi's life. They manage to escape and hide in a small village so that Chidori's wounds can feel. Kakashi stays with her the whole time feeling guilty that she was hurt because of him. While she is still unconscious Orochimaru blames Kakashi for Chidori's condition which leads to a fight and major fall out between the two, setting them up as rivals for Chidori's affection.
When Chidori finally wakes up it is obvious that she has chosen Kakashi. Still unable to travel she has a conversation with Kakashi at night about their feelings, leading to a confession and a kiss.
Since they were so late in reporting back Yondaime send Tsunade and Jiraiya out to investigate their disappearance. The two find them just as they are setting out from the town. They travel home together, Tsunade giving Chidori some drugs that will help her heal, but they make her a bit out of it.
When they get home Kakashi reports to the Yondaime and Chidori obsesses over his fluffy hair. Two weeks later is Chidori's birthday so everyone decided to throw her a party, thinking of it as a nice day off.
Over time Kakashi and Chidori's relationship strengthens. Kakashi finally asks Chidori to move in with him into his father's old home which she agrees to. Tsunade and a reluctant Jiraiya help her move in, and Tsunade gives Kakashi a stern speech about how he had better not hurt her "honorary little sister."
However, Chidori's first night in Kakashi's house is the night Orochimaru is chased out of the village. Before he leaves he pays a visit to the lovers. He quickly takes Kakashi out of the picture showing him "how utterly worthless and pathetic" he is. He then tries to kidnap Chidori but is stopped by the Yondaime and Sandaime. They fight and Orochimaru is overpowered but he places the curse on Chidori swearing that the only way it will be removed is if she comes to him.
Not wanting Kakashi to have to watch her died slowly, Chidori convinces the two older men to pretend she is dead. They reluctantly give in a secretly steal her away to the tree house she lived in for fifteen years. It is then left to the Yondaime to tell Kakashi of the tragic news.
After that the story goes back to the present, where a lot of little random things happen, showing how deep Chidori and Kakashi's feeling are for one another. But, after about six months of Chidori's return, Orochimaru pays her a visit while Kakashi and Jiraiya are in a meeting with Tsunade. Chidori fights him while he tries to take her away, resulting in the curse spreading over her heart.
CHIDORI'S DEATH
"There's still time for me to take away the curse. I can take it away and we can live in eternity together."
Chidori smiled sadly and gently placed a hand on Orochimaru's cheek. "Ochi, I've lived the life I wanted; the lifetime I wanted. I don't want eternity. I simply wanted what I have right now. Don't worry. I'm dying with only one regret."
"And what is that?"
"…"
Orochimaru glared. He didn't like it at all, but there was nothing he could do about it. Chidori whispered softly as her hand fell from his face, forcing him to look down at her. She had gone limp in his arms. The one person he had ever cared about was dead, and by his own hand.

PART II:
Kakashi and gang sense Orochimaru's jutsus and race toward Kakashi's studio. On the way they meet up with Orochimaru who is carry Chidori. Seeing the curse spread over her whole body they instantly know she is dead. Kakashi fights Orochimaru and manages to seriously wound him with the Chidori, but Orochimaru uses Chidori's raw chakura attack to mortally wound Kakashi. Sasuke finishes the fight against Orochimaru, managing to overcome the cursed seal and not go all emo like he does in the series.
Tsunade tries to heal Kakashi and says she's done all she can for him and that it was up to him if he lived or not now. He lingers for a while, saying his goodbyes to everyone, although never once is the actually word "goodbye" used until the very end, when Sakura and Naruto are sitting with him.
KAKASHI'S DEATH
Kakashi smiled softly at Sakura and the sleeping Naruto. "Goodbye."
Sakura's soft whisper woke Naruto and he knew the time had come. "Kakashi-sensei?"
Kakashi didn't answer, his chest didn't move as it should have when he was breathing, and his heartbeat wasn't there anymore. Naruto just stared at the body of his teacher. His mind told him he should be sad, and while there was a small part of him that was it wasn't very powerful. He couldn't bring himself to be sad when Kakashi was going to be with Chidori again.
The outcome was sad, but at the same time it was right. So, he wrapped his arms around a crying Sakura, knowing no words would comfort.
"Kakashi." He turned to see the Yondaime, smiling his carefree smile. Standing next to him was the Sandaime with that knowing look of his. Obito was waving like a maniac and looking as if his face would crack if he smiled any wider.
And there was also his father. He looked proud; the sadness that his eyes held in life had vanished. They were all there, all except…
"Kashi!" Chidori wasn't smiling, but she wasn't angry either. She looked confused. She walked up to him and he wrapped his arms around her. "You could have stayed, so why didn't you?"
Kakashi kissed her softly. "I promised never to let you go, ever again."
