In Midgar: a parody of "On Broadway" by George Benson

Adapted by Chibikan

Disclaimer: I do not own "On Broadway" or "Midgar" or FFVII in general

AN: Imagine this being sung by Cloud upon his first night in Midgar, to become a SOLDIER

They say the neon lights are bright in Midgar.

They say there's always magic in the air.

But when you're walkin' down that street,

And you ain't had enough to eat,

The glitter rubs right off and you're nowhere.

They say the women treat you fine in Midgar

But lookin' at them just gives me the blues.

'Cause how you gonna pay their bill,

When all you got is one small gil.

And one small gil won't even shine your shoes.

They say that I won't last too long in Midgar.

I'll catch a chocobo for home they all say.

But I'll prove them wrong, I know I can

I will show that I'm the man.

And I won't quit 'till I'm a star in Midgar.

I won't quit 'till I'm a star in Midgar.

Never quit 'till I'm a star.

In Midgar...

In Midgar...

In Midgar...
