Why, oh why, are most AkuRoku fics so sad? They had enough angst in the game! They don’t need more! Well, anyway, here’s a collection of AkuRoku drabbles and short stories that are cute, lighthearted, happy, and just plain replete with fluff, hence the title, which means “happiness.” They take place either while Roxas was in the Organization, or after the game ends, and it turns out that they didn’t die after all, or something like that. Wouldn’t it be nice if they did somehow get a happy ending? Well, that’s what fanfics are for! ; These can be read in any order. Enjoy!

It was chore time around The Castle that Never was, and despite much complaining and reluctance, everyone had either finished or blackmailed someone else into finishing his or her duties. Well... everyone except Roxas had.

“Ugh, I hate cleaning. Why do I always have to dust? I’m the only one here with allergies, yet I’m always the one to have to stir up these allergens of doom! It’s so unfair, and I can never reach these high shelves!”

“Awww, come on, Roxas, you’ve got the easy job! At least you don’t have to take out the garbage like I do. Do you have any idea what kind of vile, putrid horrors I’m forced to transport?” Axel, who had been sitting on the couch and “recovering,” as he called it, wrinkled his nose and shuddered at the memory of how one of his garbage bags had broken half-way across the desolate path to the dumpster. No one had been around to help retrieve the scattered refuse, so he had no choice but to do it all himself, unless he wanted to face Xemnas’s wrath when it was discovered.

“I heard about your incident with the trash. Still, you didn’t have to climb up on any couches and risk breaking your neck!” Roxas reached as high as he could, but he was still a few inches too short to reach the top of the bookshelf in the corner.

“Hey, be careful! Maybe you should get a ladder or— OOF!” Axel’s advice was cut off by Roxas losing his balance and falling onto his lap. He grinned as he took Roxas’s feather duster and set it aside. “...or maybe you should just take a break,” he finished, putting his arm around the smaller boy and pulling him close.

“Yeah, a break sounds nice.” Roxas smiled. Cleaning really wasn’t so bad after all!
