Disclaimer: I don't own the Eagle or Sprit or anything like that. Amen.
I love the Eagle, and so I had to write about him!
Ours is a strange friendship. That, no one can deny.
I am an Eagle. He is a horse. I fly. He runs.
Yet he is my greatest friend.
And today he was stolen.
I saw it all. While he ran frantically, I was desperately trying to disuade the two-leggeds. But the wind was wrong and so I could only watch as he was brought to his side.
I fought the sudden strong wind as they led him across the plains. A mournful screech escaped and he looked up desperately. His brown eyes, once full of life and all that of a young stallion were dull.
The only thing I could do was cling to a branch and bow my head in grief in respect. All I could do was watch.
And I will watch. I will watch as his mother will step in and take control, try desperately to keep them from falling apart. I will watch as they try break his and my spirit and take away whatever makes him unique.
I will wait here, head bowed, and wait for my spirit to return.
