Getting Here

We all made sacrifices to get here. Each and every one of us gave up something back home to get here. We all sacrificed normal, comfortable lives for these of danger and adventure.

Everyone has given up things that they love to come to Atlantis.

I am no different.

I let go of Simon.

I left him behind to come here.

And now I understand that it was a necessary sacrifice and has meaning. Simon could not follow me where I have gone.

He is no longer right for me.

I have found another who does suit the me that Atlantis has shaped. And, I realize, the sacrifice was well worth it.
