Swanheart.

Ok, just a quick one shot… to the song Swanheart by Nightwish.

Set after Bloodbath so possible spoilers….

Abby sat in the dark lab. She had turned off all the lights, preferring to be in the dark when she thought. She wasn't entirely sure what she was thinking about, but the dark was a comfort.

She listened to the music was over her from the CD player behind her. Her favourite Nightwish song was filtering through the speakers.

Abby smiled as the song started again, being on repeat. She always became calm listening to this song; its smooth melody was soothing. 'I've been spending to much time talking to McGee' Abby thought.

She laid her head on her arms and closed her eyes listening to the words.

All those beautiful people

I want to have them all

All those porcelain models

If only I could make them fall

Be my heart a well of love

Flowing free so far above

Abby sighed as footsteps interrupted her listening.

"Not sleeping on the job are we Abs?" Gibbs' voice asked.

"Nope" Abby said, keeping her eyes shut and her head down.

"Then what are you doing?"

"Listening."

Gibbs leaned against Abby's desk and listened to the music. He wasn't usually one to like Abby's taste in songs, but he would always give them a try.

A wintry eve

Once upon a tale

An Ugly Duckling

Lost in a verse

Of a sparrows carol

Dreaming the stars

"Are you feeling alright Abby?" Gibbs asked, looking at the Goth lying on her desk.

"Yep, why wouldn't I be boss-man?"

"Its just you usually listen to songs with a lot of drums in, but this ones slow"

"I like to listen to this after a long day, when I want to relax." Abby said, opening her eyes and looking at Gibbs.

Be my heart a well of love

Flowing free so far above

"It has been a long day," Gibbs said

"Where's Mikel?"

Gibbs eyes turned cold at the mention of that guy. "Still in interrogation I think. Why?"

"Just as long as he is nowhere near me"

Gibbs smiled, "He wont be coming anywhere near you Abby, if he wants to remain living"

"My silver haired fox" Abby said softly, "a knight in shining armour" She started laughing.

Gibbs smiled. "Thanks" He muttered sarcastically.

In my world

Love is for poets

Never the famous balcony scene

Just a dying faith

On the heaven's gate

"Balcony scene?" Gibbs asked puzzled.

"Romeo and Juliet" Abby said, raising her head, and looking at Gibbs, "Don't tell me you've never watched it"

"Sadly Abby I have, my second wife had an obsession over it"

Abby smiled

Crystal pond awaits the lorn

Tonight another morn for the holy one is born

Gibbs listened to the music. He heard a thump next to him. Abby's head came in sharp contact with the top of her desk. "Tired?" He asked.

Abby nodded, her head rubbing against the wood.

Gibbs turned of the music as the song started again. "Well come on, you may as well go home"

"Do I have to?" Abby asked

"Where else would you go?" Gibbs raised his eyebrows

"Good question, somewhere with people" Abby said, "I know it sounds weird, but I don't really want to be alone tonight."

"Well if you promise not to break my boat, you can stay at mine tonight" Gibbs said.

"I told you I was sorry about that," Abby said.

Gibbs smiled; he leaned forwards and pressed a quick kiss to her lips. "I know"

He turned and left the dark lab. "You coming then?"

Ok I don't like the ending… but I cant be bothered changing it… too lazy, and seeing as its now 06.06, and I have had no sleep tonight, at all… you'll just have to forgive me (whether you want to or not lol)

Please review and tell me what you think.
