“No way. No! Lizzy, no!” Evangeline Swann, younger sister of Elizabeth Turner, yelled at her older sister.

“Evie, come on. It’s not so bad, it’s nice!” Elizabeth crooned at her sister.

“No! It’s……….PINK!” She exclaimed in great horror and stormed into her room. Elizabeth shook her head and threw the dress she had been holding onto her bed. Her sister had always been rebellious. Never playing with the girls, never coming to tea, and never ever wearing a dress. Always playing pirate with the boys, and always coming back with an injury of some sort. Now at 17 she was still the same, except she didn’t play pirate anymore, she just studied them. Elizabeth had no problem with her sister wanting to be a pirate because she was married to one, and close friends with another.

Evangeline had come to live with her and her husband William Turner earlier that year because she needed to get out of her fathers stuffy, proper mansion. Will and Elizabeth lived on the island Jack Sparrow had been marooned on twice. Will, now the soul owner of the island had named it Isla de Tropicos, meaning Island of Tropics, named for the islands beautiful, tropical atmosphere.

“Lizzy!” She heard Will call from the front hall. Elizabeth rushed out and threw her arms around her husbands neck and kissed him. “Well hello to you too.” He smirked.

“Your sister here?” He asked, putting down the bag he had been carrying.

“Why?” She smoothed her long blonde hair away from her face.

“Because……Jack’s coming into town today, and I really don’t want her to meet him. Look what he turned you into. A respectable Governor’s daughter, married to a pirate! Is that a life that your little sister wants?” He joked.

“Yes, actually, but I’ll send her into town for something when he comes to visit. She can take her horse and ride into town for something?” Will nodded in agreement and Elizabeth’s face relaxed into a smile.

“Evie, can you come down here for a minute!” Will called. Evie slid down the banister in a pair of brown soft breeches and a white shirt.

“Ya Will?”

“We need you to go into town, and get…..” He stopped because he couldn’t think of what they needed.

“I know you’re lying Will, so just tell me what the hell is going on, please spare me the trouble of you and Liz making up some story, that I could care less about!” She told him simply. He looked taken aback but then he sighed and turned to Liz who shrugged.

“Ok, well an old friend of ours is coming into town and he might have a bad influence on you, so we’d like you to occupy your self in a different fashion for a few hours.” He said.

“You treat me like a child! But what ever, I’ll just go swimming or something for a while.” She ran up the stairs to grab her bag. Will looked at Liz with a look that said ‘She’s your sister’.

About 45 minutes later Evie sped down the stairs, grabbed an apple from the ceramic bowl in the kitchen. “Bye Liz, bye Will.” The door slammed behind her as she mounted her horse Kate and rode off down the white sand beach.
