Susan walked up to where everybody was standing at admit, waiting to start morning rounds with a piece of paper in her hands. Ray, Neela, Abby and Luka were leaning against the counter and Carter was sitting in a chair, talking to Lucy, who had Joshua in her arms. The other five were waiting on Susan, who had the new patient satisfaction scores while Lucy was off and didn't have to be back until the next afternoon.

"Wendall is releasing Molly into your custody when they discharge her, so you can take her back to my place and get her comfortable. Are you sure you are going to be okay with an infant and a five year old that is still recovering from a gunshot wound?"

"I will be okay, John. Mary is going to stick around until you get home and help me with the both of them."

"Hiring Mary to be Joshua's nanny was the smartest thing I ever did because she doesn't seem to mind staying with Joshua as much as I need her to."

"Well I better get upstairs and check to see if they are ready to discharge Molly yet." Carter hugged Joshua before Lucy handed him to Abby, who smiled at the baby in her arms and, along with Neela, was spoiling him rotten. They shared a sweet and tender kiss, to the delight of everybody else standing at admit and Susan, who had just walked up to them. They didn't seem to want to let each other go until Susan cleared her throat, rolling her eyes at them and smiling indulgently.

"You have plenty of time for that, Carter, when you get home. We need to have this meeting real quick so we can take care of some patients and Lucy needs to check on Molly."

They pulled away from each other and Lucy walked over to Abby, took Joshua from her, and walked to the elevator to go upstairs. Susan turned to look at the three interns and her two fellow attendings, holding a piece of paper in her hands.

"We have new patient satisfaction scores and they are up but we are going to try something different. We are going to pair an attending and an intern together, each interns cases will be reported to that attending. Abby, you are with me, Ray, you are with Carter and Neela, you will report to Luka, we are hoping to teach you more about taking better care of your patients this way. Abby, Jake is going to continue to work with you because the two of you seem to work pretty well together."

Luka rolled his eyes at that because something about how the new med student had looked at Abby made him jealous and want to punch him in the face. Abby squeezed his hand reassuringly like she seemed to sense what he was feeling.

They all walked away from admit with each intern following their respective attending.

Later that night, Lucy rushed into the ER after seeing on the news about the man shooting himself in the ambulance bay. She had heard that Carter was there with the him when it had happened, so she wanted to check and see if he was okay. Mary, after hearing what had happened, had told her to go and that she could handle Joshua and Molly for her. She saw Susan, Abby and Jake standing at admit and she went over to where they were at fighting to catch her breath.

"Where is he," She asked, fighting not to panic.

"Calm down, Lucy, he and Ray are both okay. The patient was distraught over his daughter's condition," Susan said, stepping forward to comfort Lucy. "Abby, go with her to the trauma room so she can see for herself that he is okay."

Abby took her down the corridor and they stood at the doorway of the trauma room with Neela and George Henry, one of Carter's first med students. He was the doctor of the sixteen year old daughter of the man that had shot himself. He had prescribed a medication that had stopped the girl's seizures but had caused damage to the kidney that the girl had gotten from her father.

"Lucy, he's okay. He's in there with Ray, Luka and Dr. Dubenko," Neela said, as she saw the frantic look on her friend's face.

"What the hell happened here?"

"A sixteen year old girl was brought in and it was discovered that the kidney her father had donated to her had failed. It was from a drug that her doctor.." Neela had to fight not to give Dr. Henry a dirty look. " ...had prescribed to her for her seizures."

"What kind of doctor are you that you don't check the side effects for something that you prescribe to your patient," Lucy asked as she turned to look at Dr. Henry.

"If you don't know what you are talking about, Miss..."

"Dr. Lucy Knight. I'm an attending here in the ER."

"Dr. George Henry. Dr. Carter was my teacher when he was a resident."

Carter stepped out of the room and hugged Lucy before he did anything else. He then turned to Dr. Henry, a stern look on his face.

"Dr. Henry, Lucy was my med student also and she is now my girlfriend. I would appreciate it if you didn't talk to her like that."

Carter and Lucy walked off while Ray, who had come out of the room, and Neela walked away as well. Abby walked into the trauma room where Luka still was, leaving George Henry where he was standing.

Ray and Neela were on the roof, holding each other, not saying a word. She finally looked up at him, tears starting to fall from her eyes.

"You could have been shot too. Why did you stay out there after he pulled out the gun?"

" I had to help Carter try to get him to put the gun down. If it had been me in that same situation, it would have been tempting to shoot the doctor who prescribed that crap to my child. Despite what Dr. Henry did, he didn't deserve to be shot and Carter was hoping to keep him from shooting himself."

"I was so scared when I heard you were out there."

"I'm sorry."

They shared a kiss before both of their pagers went off and they had to go back downstairs.

Susan and Carter had just had their argument about him revealing too much when he talked to the press. Carter had stormed off into the lounge where Lucy was waiting for him. She'd had Mary bring Joshua and Molly down to her and he smiled at the three of them. Molly was still shy around both him and Lucy but you could see she adored Joshua. He grabbed his things out of his locker and left with the three most important people to him. He wanted to forget about what had happened that day and think about other things.

Abby and Luka were sitting on their couch at the end of their shift, just trying to forget that this day ever happened. All of a sudden, Abby busted out laughing.

"What's so funny, Abby?"

"It seemed like every patient I had today had some sort of sexual problem. First you had the couple that got stuck together while screwing in the back of a Ford, then you had the guy who would stop whacking off to the point that he had caused himself to have an infection. Through all of this, Jake is hitting on me."

"What!"

"Calm down, Luka. I finally got tired of it and told him that I was living with somebody and to leave me alone."

"What if he doesn't get the hint?"

"Then I will just have to let you have a talk with him."

He leaned over and kissed her. It quickly became passionate to the point that he picked her up off of the couch and carried her upstairs to their bedroom. All they wanted to do was lose themselves in each other and forget about the horrible day that they had just had.
