Ring’s Making
-Chapter
One-
The Waiting Room
A/N: I desperately missed my humor story, The Lost
Blondes. I mean, it was a one shot, and so many people liked it. I
can be a hilarious person at times, and The Lost Blondes was one of
my funny moments. And since my funnyness seems to be random, I came
up with this idea while searching my brain for something funny to
write.
“Pat,” Liam droned for what seemed the millionth time. “Just because we’re getting a ring does not mean it has to be sterling silver. It can be white gold. Or something.”
Pat got a panicked look on his face. “I break out easy! How am I supposed to know if I’m allergic to white gold?”
“Chances are, you’re not!” Charlie snapped, looking up from a bridal magazine.
DriveSHAFT – which consisted of Pat, Sinjin, Liam, and Charlie – was sitting in a small waiting room, that probably used to be an old dentist office or something of the like, because there was a booth in the wall to sign in and check your appointment. There were various magazines scattered around, and Charlie seemed to not be able to find any guitar ones. So, he decided to scoop up a bridal one.
Pat stared suspiciously at the door leading into the office they were to go in to design their ring. He stared at it like a two year old awaiting a doctor’s appointment, and dreading it.
“I don’t want to do this,” Pat whined, tapping his foot nervously and receiving many strange looks from onlookers.
Suddenly, something was unmercifully chucked at Pat’s head with such force it nearly knocked him over. It had come clear from the other side of the room.
“Bloody hell!” Pat shrieked, falling out of his chair and grabbing the thing that had been thrown at him.
It was an orange and blue, checkered Vans’ shoe, much like Charlie’s, but different colors. Pat look over at the other side of the waiting room and saw Sinjin with another bridal magazine, covering his face. His legs were crossed in a ‘manly’ way, and one black sock was showing.
Pat nearly chucked it back at him, but since he was on the ground, he noticed Charlie’s shoes.
He was clearly taken aback.
“Woah! You guys almost have the same shoes!” Pat exclaimed. “Sinjin must have colored them or something!”
The band took the time to put down their bridal magazines and stare at him blankly.
Pat stared back with a grin plastered on his face. But his face suddenly crumbled in shock when he saw Liam’s shoes.
“Liam! Your shoes are checkered, too!” he exclaimed, reaching for Liam’s foot.
Liam withdrew quickly and pointed at Pat’s feet. “Pat. We all have the same brand of shoes.”
Pat looked down at his own feet and gasped slightly.
Sinjin chucked his other shoe at him.
A/N: Next chapter,
DriveSHAFT meets another band
who had a ring engraved. I know this chapter was very short, so the
next chapter will be longer and funnier! This was kind of just an
intro to what DriveSHAFT is going to be like in this story.
