Unusual Meetings

A/N: I do not, in any way, shape or form, own the shows Stargate SG-1 or Smallville, or any of their characters. 'Nuff said.

A/N 2: I'm baa-aack! Here is the first chapter (well, sort of) of the sequel to Unusual Meeting, called, rather unimaginatively, Unusual Meetings. I figured I'd stick with what worked, and seeing as how there will most probably be many meetings, and some unusual ones, there you go. For those who haven't read the first story this first chapter is a recap. But um, you can read the first story from my profile page, just click on my author name. Oh, and thanks again to everyone who read my first story! Without further ado, let's get started :)

Synopsis of story Unusual Meeting (and it's long-just couldn't figure out how to shorten it-but 59,000 words into 2,000 or so isn't too bad, I think):

This is a crossover story between Smallville and Stargate SG-1, takes place beginning of second season Smallville just after the episode Heat but before Pete discovers Clark's ship in the field. In this story he never does, and he doesn't know Clark's secret. So spoilers are only for the first season. For Stargate it's partway into the fifth season, I think, as I kinda wanted Daniel as still part of SG-1, so spoilers only through the fourth season or so.

It opened with Clark Kent from Smallville fighting an alien creature that had crash-landed its ship by a shed in a field on the Kent farm. His friend Lex Luthor was driving home and saw a fire in the shed that was caused by the battle and went to investigate. He ended up giving Clark a ride away from the burning shed but the creature pursued them, not bothered by the speed of Lex's expensive car. They literally ran into Colonel O'Neill and the rest of SG-1, who were aware of the alien ship landing in Kansas and were going to investigate in a couple of vans. Major Carter checked the two Smallville residents to see if they were Goa'uld and found that they weren't. The Colonel gave them a story about a satellite falling in the Kent fields and since Clark wanted the military out of the area as quickly as possible he offered to lead them to the shed and the ship. They were on the way when the creature caught up and attacked them. The Stargate team brought out their weapons to fight, but Major Carter's gun jammed and she was in imminent peril of death.

After rushing Lex to safety Clark then saved her life, but to his shock his back was scratched by the creature, drawing blood. Clark had also used his speed during the battle, and Lex put two and two together and got five. He assumes Clark is a meteor mutant, but is still his friend, and determined to protect him. The creature got away, but Teal'c went after it and caught it. Dr. Frasier, who went with the team in case there were alien microbes in the ship, wanted to take Clark back to the SGC and study him. Lex put a stop to that plan and insisted they go to Clark's parents before taking him anywhere. Lex's car is trashed (poor beautiful Ferrari) so they all piled into the two vans and went to the shed, the fire having gone out in the meanwhile. The doctor and techs examined the alien ship, decided it wasn't emitting dangerous radiation or toxins and the team loaded the ship into one of the vehicles. Then the two vans drove to the farm house, where Jonathan and Martha Kent were readying dinner.

Clark's parents were shocked that their son was actually hurt, and when the military insisted he come with them for his own good, to make sure he wasn't infected with any alien parasites, they reluctantly agreed, but only after Lex managed to wheedle an agreement from General Hammond that would protect his friend and bring him back home safely. Clark and his parents packed up for a trip and went with the team, but on the way to the airport a meteor-enhanced bull attacked the vans and Clark went to fight it. In the melee the creature that had been caught escaped and ran into the surrounding fields. Teal'c killed the bull by shooting the Zat gun three times and disintegrating it. Clark looked at the Jaffa in x-ray eyes mode and noticed that the big guy was an alien. But having bigger fish to fry the team decided to go after the escaped creature first. Clark decided to help and got to the creature before the team did, but in the process found his ship. Teal'c fired the Zat gun while Clark was still grappling with the strong alien, and hit both of them, knocking them out. SG-1 saw the second ship, and decided to take it along to the SGC as well.

Clark woke up during the plane ride and bonded with the Colonel. When they arrived at the mountain the Smallville quartet (Lex of course insisted on going along with his friend) were shown to nice guest quarters, complete with hidden bugs (not activated, though). Back in Smallville, Chloe and Pete decided to investigate Clark's strange behavior, after Chloe got a call from the farm boy asking her to take notes while he visited his sick 'Uncle Sam'. After a little downtime, SG-1 was escorting Lex and Clark and his parents to a briefing with the General when an alarm went off. A team returned through the Stargate under fire, and two unseen Reetou aliens accompanied them. One was taken down by Major Carter, but the other escaped and went to the room where Clark and the others were told to wait while the team dealt with the problem. The Reetou got past the military but Clark battled it to a standstill, the team arriving in time to see him use his powers.

Major Carter killed the rebel, but not before it managed to sink an alien knife into Clark's shoulder. He was taken to the infirmary, where Dr. Frasier removed the knife and collected a sample of his blood. The doctor was then shocked to see how quickly Clark healed. At this point the military thought Clark might be a meteor mutant, after researching the things that happened around Smallville. They finally all made it to the briefing, where Teal'c revealed that he was an alien, after everyone signed confidentiality agreements that would not only protect the military from the civilians saying anything about the Stargate or what they might learn but also protected Clark from the military taking him apart to see what made him tick (Lex had added a lot to protect his friend). Then Clark and the others got to see the Stargate in action when a team returned from a normal mission, everyone entranced by it, especially Clark and Lex.

After retiring for the night Clark got sick, coughing up green stuff-the creature's claws had been covered with kryptonite, which had entered his bloodstream. It was the reason why he'd been able to be pierced by the knife. Anyway, Clark felt better and decided to level with his friend. He told Lex the truth about himself being an alien, and Lex responded with gratitude. In the morning SG-1 took the four to an informal breakfast, where they shared several stories about their adventures. Major Carter told Clark about Jolinar and how she had alien remains absorbed into her, and Clark, feeling safe with the team, told them his secret as well. He figured they would find out anyway from his blood.

Meanwhile, the creature which was being restrained in a room managed to get free, and its ship signaled four others of its kind, which then headed to earth. Unbeknownst to them, however, a larger ship secretly followed. Back at the base, everyone went to the bay where they were finally aware of the ship's signaling going on, and Teal'c managed to open the alien vessel. The creature, whose name was T'Rog, had picked up a lucky charm on his travels-a chunk of green meteor rock, which lit up the interior when the top opened. Clark was too close to the ship, and immediately felt the effects. T'Rog raced into the room, whacked the military out of the way and took the teen hostage with a knife, warning SG-1 in his language to keep away. Dr. Jackson recognized his language, it being a close cousin to that of the Unas, which T'Rog resembled. Turned out that T'Rog and his race from the planet Tobos were indeed related to the Unas, but the Tobos natives fought when the Goa'uld tried to enslave them and in retaliation the Goa'uld destroyed their world and most of their race with it, leaving only some survivors, T'Rog being one of them. Needless to say the Tobos natives hated the Goa'uld with a passion and would do anything to stop them, including becoming friends with fellow enemies of the Goa'uld, the humans.

While this was going on the Tok'ra came for a visit, Major Carter's father Jacob responding to SG-1's call for help in identifying the alien ships found on earth. He brought a device which contained all the information the Tok'ra had on the Tobos natives, and left it with Dr. Jackson when the Tok'ra were called away for their own interests. Dr. Jackson and T'Rog communicated and bonded, and then the SGC became aware of T'Rog's friends coming to the earth. Deciding to make them allies, the military gave the Tobos natives a safe and secure place to land.

Unfortunately, one of the four ships was destroyed by the Goa'uld vessel that had been following them. It was commanded by Apis, who had been exiled to a distant system and who hated the system lords and wanted to show them up, by conquering earth. Three of T'Rog's friends landed and were taken to the SGC, where everyone had settled down for the night. They received a rude wake up call when Apis attacked, using the ring transporter and his technology to invade the base, luckily only going at first to the bay where T'Rog's ship had been emitting the signal.

SG-1 raced to the bay, battling the seemingly endless amount of troops trying to defeat the earth forces, when Clark, who had used his x-ray vision to see that they were in trouble, came to the rescue, knocking out the entire enemy in record time. Apis, who had accompanied his Jaffa warriors, wanting to gloat over his victory, was understandably annoyed and fought the teen, using his Goa'uld enhanced strength as well as his host's bullish strong body. However, Clark managed to kick him into a wall where SG-1 riddled his body with bullets and staff and Zat blasts. The host died and the Goa'uld was captured, and Clark and the team went to Apis' ship to neutralize any threat it might present.

Clark was amazed by his first look at space, but it didn't stop him from helping SG-1 fight aboard ship. They managed to capture the ship as well; Apis' first prime throwing in the towel and deciding to cooperate with the humans-he didn't really like his Goa'uld master after all. The ship did take quite a bit of damage, but the SGC now had some advanced technology to play with. The next day, Dr. Frasier was done studying Clark's blood and during a briefing told him he wasn't from earth. She thought he might be from a people seeded by a more ancient civilization and that his people lived on a planet that circled a different type of solar radiation.

Meanwhile, Chloe and Pete had put together a bunch of clues and figured out where Clark was. They decided to visit him and got caught hacking into the computer system while on a tour of the mountain. They were brought to Clark and the others, and the Colonel gave them a story about an advanced orbital craft crash landing and how they wanted to keep it hush-hush. It was so well done that even Chloe bought it, and Pete actually felt sorry for his friend, who might have been exposed to radiation when he accidentally found the craft. Chloe, Pete, Lex, the Kents, and SG-1 all went back to Smallville together, where SG-1 stayed the night at the Kent farm and placed electronic bugs all over it, after receiving the Kents' permission. Dr. Jackson had made a point about the NID and other unscrupulous organizations possibly coming after Clark, and how the SGC just wanted to protect him.

The next day SG-1 went on a tour of Smallville, including a stop at the Torch office where they got to see Chloe's "Wall of weird". Dr. Jackson took pictures and was nice to the young reporter, thinking she would be good to have as a source for the goings on in the town, and Clark later commented on her having a crush on him. Clark and the team then went to the shed where it all started, double checking the grounds and deciding to monitor the area. Clark used his abilities again to make a fence around the area and the team left electronic eyes and ears behind.

SG-1 left and Clark returned home, meeting Lex that night, reaffirming their friendship and just hanging out. T'Rog and his people were found a home with the Unas, taking their ships with them, having helped the SGC by sharing their knowledge and technology. They were now definite allies of the humans, and promised to keep in touch.

Weeks had passed and Clark came for a visit to the mountain, Dr. Frasier wanting to do a periodic check up. Clark helped Dr. Jackson and Major Carter with an artifact found on a mission, and then Colonel O'Neill came by to take them all to lunch. They were just on the way to the cafeteria when they were interrupted.

Whew! And now you are all caught up and we're good to go for the sequel. I'll post the next update very soon, but for those who didn't really need this synopsis here's a sneak peek at the next chapter:

Last time:

Clark is at the SGC, in a room with Maj. Carter and Dr. Jackson, helping them to identify an artifact.

"Don't let them work you too hard Clark, they tend to lose track of time, and forget important things like lunch." O'Neill said, breezing into the room.

"Sir, it's good to see you again," Clark said, smiling at him.

"You too. Ready for some chow? Carter, Daniel, time to knock off. Get some calories in you." The Colonel said.

"But sir, Clark just got here. We had a few more things to show him..." Sam started, but was cut off.

"Food. What a growing boy needs. I could hear his stomach growling from down the corridor. You can ply him with work after he eats." O'Neill insisted.

Sam and Daniel looked at each other and shrugged. Sam smiled, thinking to herself that O'Neill had missed the boy and wanted to spend some time with him. She would never say that aloud, of course.

"All right. Lunch first." She agreed.

Feeling victorious, O'Neill winked at Clark and turned to leave. Just then the alarms went off. The loudspeakers in the room crackled to life. "Unscheduled offworld activation. SG-1 report to General Hammond."

Clark looked with wide eyes at the Colonel.

"Here we go again." Col. O'Neill sighed.

And now:

The loudspeakers fell silent and Clark turned shining eyes on the Colonel as SG-1 began to move.

"Can I come?" he asked, and then corrected himself. "I mean, may I come too, sir? You might need some help."

O'Neill sighed as he led his team to the elevator. He glanced at Maj. Carter and Dr. Jackson, and when he received nods in answer to his unasked question, he responded to Clark, who was looking at him eagerly.

"All right, you can come with us. But I hope I don't have to remind you to hang back and not get into trouble. If there's any problems, you let the nice people with the guns handle it first. Got it?"

"Yes sir, I promise. I won't get in trouble," Clark said as the elevator arrived and the team piled in.

"Better not, or no dessert," O'Neill muttered as the elevator began to move.

After picking up weapons SG-1 hit the Gate room, finding Teal'c already there. The Jaffa had been meditating but still managed to get there ahead of his teammates. While in the elevator O'Neill had a brief conversation with Gen. Hammond, telling him that Clark would be with them. The General had reluctantly agreed, but reiterated that the teen should hang back and just observe.

Now they all watched as the Iris was retracted, many guns trained on it.

"It's SG-5's IDC," the tech said to the General. "They're early."

Gen. Hammond nodded, and observed through the glass as the first team member came through. Along with the team member came a blast from a staff weapon.

"Everyone down!" O'Neill yelled, as two more members of the beleaguered team jumped and rolled through the Gate, followed by enemy fire.

The soldiers in the Gate room were now on high alert, as was SG-1. Clark hung back behind his honorary teammates as ordered, his eyes filled with concern. He clenched his fists at his sides, determined to stay put, but it was hard.

The last member of SG-5 dived through the Gate, shouting "Close the Iris!"

Several shots were fired through before the Iris cycled shut, and Clark saw with alarm that a few were headed right for his friends.

There you are, just a tidbit to whet the appetite. I'm mean, aren't I? Took awhile to type up the synopsis though. Don't worry, I'll keep typing at the update. Thanks for reading, and have a great day :)
