A/N: I definitely don't own Smallville or Stargate SG-1 or their characters, nor do I own the other shows and movies that pop up in this fic. I might own any original characters like Apis, but I think they have their own ideas about that :) Uh, so sorry about the last jumbled chapter. I had all these ideas and just wanted to get them out there, but it wasn't really a cohesive whole. Hopefully this one is better and doesn't suck, even if it's short-just thought you guys have waited long enough already, so more is on the way soon.

Thanks Shall-Iin and everyone for your reviews :D So sorry for the long wait. Um, to explain things, (spoilers for what is to come in forthcoming chapters! Not in this one though, lol) the white haired alien is from a hard to find movie called "I Come In Peace" from 1990. If you search YouTube for I come in peace the third link I think that says it's a trailer is a clip for the movie, which stars Dolph Lundgren. Don't worry though; I'll explain stuff when we get to that point, which isn't yet :) Unfortunately I didn't realize the movie would be so difficult to get when I started writing about it, sigh. Maybe it'll get released on DVD soon. Bones is the crossover for the forensic stuff, Diana is on Paradise Island, the alternate dimensional mirror is going to play a part, and they will take a trip to the planet from "Pitch Black". Riddick won't be on it, though. My Goa'uld Apis will be back (he still needs a host though) and there is a new Goa'uld baddie who is his brother. There is also a new mutant threat in Smallville. Okay, we're now all set. Seatbelts buckled? Mirrors all adjusted? Let's go :)

"Can I just say goodbye to Daniel before we leave?" Clark asked his parents as they flanked him to the elevator.

"Honey, don't you want to get home?" Martha asked. The sooner they left the base and were back in Smallville the better, she thought.

"It'll just take a minute, please?" Clark said, flashing his famous look. As he'd hoped, she caved.

"All right, but just for a minute, then we're going," she said firmly. 'And we're not coming back' was the unsaid thought that she tacked on.

"I'll be fast, promise," Clark said, smiling.

The airmen following the Smallville quartet were a little confused by the sudden change in direction, as they began to head to the Infirmary instead. When they got there Clark, Lex, Martha and Jonathan found the rest of SG-1 hovering in the doorway.

Maj. Carter looked around and smiled at Clark. "He's doing better, we're just waiting to get in there," she said, pointing to where Dr. Frasier was finishing up her examination of the figure in the bed.

Clark peeked through the door and saw Daniel grimacing as he lay back against the pillows. Doctor Frasier was murmuring something to him and he nodded, and then she wrote something on a chart and turned to the anxious team and smiled.

Taking it as his cue, Col. O'Neill strode into the room, the team and Clark quickly following.

"How is he, doc?" O'Neill asked.

"Doing very well, actually," Dr. Frasier replied. "I might even let him out of here, so long as he takes some time to recover properly. No missions for a little while, all right?" she then continued, giving Daniel a stern look.

The archaeologist gave her an innocent look back. "Whatever you say," he agreed.

Dr. Frasier frowned, then shook her head. "You're up to something." She then transferred her attention to O'Neill. "Colonel, he's not to go on missions, I mean it. He needs time to get back in shape once he's healed. I've got to check on my other patients now. Don't stay too long." She left after placing the chart back down.

Maj. Carter smiled at Daniel. "How are you, really?"

Teal'c chimed in. "It is good to know that you will be well, Daniel Jackson. I am however curious as to why you agreed with Dr. Frasier so quickly."

Daniel grinned back at his teammates, still feeling good from the painkillers. It only hurt when he stretched too far, so he made sure not to do that.

"I'm good, and I know I'm not going anywhere. Janet didn't say that I couldn't do research on the base, though, and I want to see what's in that jar," he replied.

O'Neill grinned. "I should have known. Scientists," he grumbled without heat.

Maj. Carter smiled. "Somehow I don't think General Hammond will approve that. You really need to rest. Probably off the base," she added.

Clark beamed, hit with a sudden idea. "You can come back with us!" he blurted.

"What?" all the others turned to look at him.

Clark blushed, but continued. "You can come stay with us. My mom's a great cook and you'll get plenty of rest. And when you're better you can help with chores, that'll give you the exercise you need."

Daniel stared at him for a moment and then cleared his throat. "Are you sure that would be all right with your parents? I wouldn't want to impose."

"It'll be fine, I'm sure. Be right back," Clark said, turning to exit the room. He was sure his mom would say yes. Wouldn't she?

"You really want to do that?" O'Neill said to Daniel.

He nodded. "I realize I won't be allowed to do any work here. And we still need to research the meteor rock's effects; Clark's friend Chloe is a goldmine of information. It might be possible to adapt it help fight the Goa'uld. It's a long shot, but you never know," he finished.

Maj. Carter shook her head. "Have fun," she said, obviously not thinking that he would.

"Absolutely not, we've got work to do and I don't like the idea of the military-"Jonathan began.

"He's not-"Clark was answering when they were both interrupted.

"Perhaps Dr. Jackson can stay at my place. There is certainly plenty of room, and my staff can see to his needs," Lex smoothly said.

The Kents turned to look at him.

"Really? You'd do that? Thanks Lex!" Clark exclaimed.

"That's very generous of you, Lex. Really, I wouldn't have minded," Martha said.

"Not at all, it's not completely altruistic. I'm interested to learn more about what Dr. Jackson has seen," Lex admitted.

Clark nodded and said, "I'll let him know. I'm sure he'll be comfortable there."

He went back into the room, and after explaining Lex's offer O'Neill's brows rose. "Lap of luxury, Danny? You know, that might not be a bad idea. We could keep an eye on things."

"What do you mean we? You have to stay here and work," Daniel said, beginning to yawn.

"Oh, we'll drop by for a visit of course. Maybe check out some of those cars," O'Neill said with a wink.

"Tell him thanks Clark, I appreciate it. Guess I'll be seeing you again soon," Daniel said.

Seeing that their friend was getting tired, the team took their leave. Clark and his parents and Lex finally made it out of the base, Lex first asking Dr. Frasier when he could expect his guest to be arriving.

The trip back to Smallville was uneventful, and when Clark got home the first thing he did was to check in with his friends. He found that he hadn't missed much, and relaxed right back into a routine, with the added excitement that another of his friends would be coming to stay with Lex for awhile.

After the requisite paperwork was finally done the rest of SG-1 found they had some down time. O'Neill made plans to go to Smallville with Daniel, Teal'c accepting his offer to come with. Maj. Carter decided to stay on the base and catch up with some research she'd been working on. The Jaffa prisoners had been sent off to the Tok'ra, who would try and find out what they had been doing on the planet and who the Goa'uld was that they served. They had refused to say anything to the Tau'ri. Things on the base settled down and two researchers laughed at a joke one of them told the other as they walked towards the room where the jar from the planet waited to be examined.

Last note: Um, while I was tooling around YouTube, I also found that if you put Stargate crossover in the search for box you will get a page that has a vid of images from the show set to the MacGyver theme music. I sort of had fun surfing. :) Er, now you know what I've been doing with my time. Will try to have the next update out much much sooner, just need to re-watch the videos for the crossovers. It should also be more exciting. Thanks so much for hanging in there and I hope you all have a great day and a belated Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate it!
