No matter how many tears I shed you won't come back to me,

No matter how many times I call your name you will not answer me,

For each memory I have of you one thousand tears I've shed,

For every time I've held you close and kissed your little head,

In my heart it hurts to think of you and all the things you did,

But though you were only here for a spell and left when you were bid,

I think of you as each day dawns and love you all the more,
