My Happy Ending

Before I met You my life was a mess,

I was cold, alone, sad and depressed.

I was lost and confused,

Oblivious to you.

My black hole overwhelmed me,

And I turned to worldly things.

I sought comfort in all the wrong places,

Searched for acceptance from unable faces.

I was waiting, not sure what for,

I longed for something that could give me more.

And suddenly there You were,

You became my hope and my life.

You gave me a love that is never suspending,

Lord You are my happy ending.

Now I look back and can't believe how far I've come,

Finally I realize that in my struggle I've won.

After all the days of fighting tormenting thoughts in my head,

Then crying out to You passed out on my bed,

Just when I thought everything to live for was gone,

Suddenly there You were.

You became my hope and my life,

You gave me a love that is never suspending,
