I do not own DragonBall Z, although I wish I did. It belongs to Toei/FUNImation/Akira Toriyama.

2 years before the androids arrived

Bulma was in her lab, crying her eyes out. She and Yamcha had broken up, like they had before. This time was different. This time was for good. Yamcha was cheating on Bulma. They could have eventually gotten back together, except for who Yamcha was cheating on her with. Tien. When Bulma found out, she understood what Yamcha meant when he said she "wasn't his type". For now, all she could do was sit in her lab anc cry.

Vegeta was training in the gravity chamber. The training wasn't doing any good, seeing he was training under normal Earth gravity. He would have been training under at least a hundred fifty times gravity, but the gravity chamber was malfunctioning. After about an hour, he decided that his training was doing him no good without the gravity, so he went to get Bulma to fix the gravity chamber.

"Woman!" Vegeta yelled, as he walked down the corridor to Bulma's lab. "I need you to fix the grav. . . " When he opened the lab door, he saw Bulma crying, and whatever tact he possessed kicked into overdrive. And so did his sensitive side. "Are you all right?" he asked.

"It's Yamcha," Bulma said between sobs. "This time, we're through for good."

"Did he cheat on you again?" Vegeta asked.

"Yes," Bulma said. "But that's not the worst part. It was with Tien."

Vegeta's jaw dropped like his bottom teeth suddenly weighed a trillion tons apiece. The look of surprise quickly became a look of disgust. "You don't mean," he said. "They're both guys."

"Your attention please," Bulma said, like a public address announcer at a baseball game. "now pitching for the other team, Yamcha." She wiped a tear from her eye. "That would explain why he used to be afraid of women."

It was Vegeta's turn to wipe a tear from Bulma's face. "I'm sure you'll find someone," he said, kissing her gently on the lips.

Bulma returned the kiss with a lot more passion. The next thing either of them knew, they were naked on the floor, doing the horizontal hokey-pokey.

epilog, 9 months later

"Congratulations miss Briefs," the doctor said. "It's a boy.
