He walks through his workshop, eyes glazed with sorrow. The loss of his love weighs heavy on his mind. Despite the profound sadness in his heart, he doesn't shed a tear-he has long since cried himself dry.
As he comes near a table, he looks at a small potted seed. A tiny green sprout is sticking up from the dirt.
He stares at the little plant and remembers her-her kindness, her gentle nature, and, most of all, her smile.
He still remembers her face, clearer than anything.
With a sigh of longing and regret, he turns away from the seed.
