Whoo I just revised this chapter! Yeppie for me, well I took out that monstrosity close to the begining of the story, and made an acual fight scene between Dart and Co. between Freguel! As well as took out some of the more unimportant events in the script, but that's not to say they are not important to the game itself. Well I don't own LoD.

"Oh, hya Geina. I didn't see you back there."

"That's alright man that moron of a teacher held up class again for no reason. 'you all need to pay more attation to your blah blah blah.' Man that guy can get on my nerves." Geina said imataiting her teacher.

"Hahaha well he might be right, you do talk way to much for your own good."

"Well its either that or you don't talk enough for your own good Ky."

"Oh just drop it will ya." Kya said.

"Oh just drop it will ya." Geina said mockingly to her friend.

"Hahaha, now stop." Kya said harshly.

"Man you have no since of fun do you?"

"Well I would if you would quit pestering me, and I need to get to class so let go of my bag." Geina was holding onto her back pack, and wouldn't let go. Then the bell rang a warning for a minute to get to class.

"Well if your soooo wanting to go to class I guess I could let you go, toodles." She said tairing through the hall way. Kya went into her class room just as the bell rang. She sat down in her chair, and pulled out her drawing book. This was art class, and they were drawing things that came to mind; Kya was working on a picture of a dragons. In total she had seven drawn on her paper.

"Kya that looks great. Where did you learn to draw like that?" The boy that sat next to her asked.

Kya didn't respond to his question, and kept on drawing a rather detailed dragon. They all looked like they would jump right out of the paper, and come alive.

"Hello are you going to say-"

"Don't bother, she don't talk to anyone."

"Okay, so what is her problem anyway?" The boy asked the other.

"Who knows, but I have heard that the only person that she talks to is her girlfriend, if you get what I mean." The two snickered at the comment.

"You know I personaly think that was a very unapproate suggestion. Maybe you could find something a little better next time you wish to insult me." Of course she didn't say that out loud.

The day ended rather uneventfully after the last bell, and the classes let out. Kya sat in her desk for a moment looking over her test from math before she turned it in. "Kya you know the bell already rang, you should be getting home." Mrs. Yina said.

"Ok thanks for letting me stay for a while maim."

"No problem just hurry I don't want you to miss your bus."

She walked out of the room and walked down the almost empty hallway.

Kya walked along the road making little noise on the side walk. She never cared much for riding the bus. Especialy on her birthday or something she would just walk along the road by the river, and sit there for hours on end watching the water go by. She finally went home. Kya lived alone in an apartment, but some times Geina would spend a few days with her to keep her company.

Since today was her birthday she began to make her own cake. It was a chocolate cake with fudge in the center.

"Well happy birthday Kya. You're 18 today." She started eating a slice of the hot and gooie cake.

"Who's there?" She asked to nobody.

No answer. She thought she just heard a noise, but then a silver light engulfed her in an instaint.

She lye in a field where a battle was taking place. Kya was lying motionless in the grass. Then a soldier dressed in green and silver walked by on a horse bairly noticing the girl lying face down in the grass.

"Sir Lavitz we can't ho-" The solider was cut off midsentence by a spear striking him through the back, and it came out through the front. Blood dripped down the end of the spear where it went through him and the ground where it held the soliders body up off of the ground.(EWW)

"..." Lavitz was struck with the shock of his friend and commrade being killed right before his eyes. He looked up seeing the man who killed his friend. He was dressed in a black armor, and had some decoration on the front this was a low class solider.

"Ouch my head." Kya said still lying on the ground. Lavitz bairly heard the girl lying only a few feet behind himself. He took his javelin and charged the soldier. The warrior in green came out victorious and the soldier in black lye on the ground in a heap.

Kya brushed her silver hair out of her eyes sitting up. "AAAHHH!" Kya screamed. As she saw the man raised on the spear above the ground; a puddle of blood was beginning to form around the base of the spear. She shuttered at the sight and slid backwards. She was almost in tears. Then she was knocked uncouncues by a soldier hitting her on the back of the head.

"Sir Lavitz what are we going to do now?" Asked a soldier in a wisper. There were two others with Lavitz, and Kya lying in the cage as well as them.

"We'll have to figure something out. Because once we get into Hellena we won't be coming back out."

"I know this... ugh..." Lavitz said. "The girl is going to be a problem, but what I would like to know is why she was lying in the battle field."

"Keep it down in there!" One of the soldiers said.

"Sir she might be too much trouble we can't protect her and get out without being killed." The red headed soldier said.

"No we're Knights, we have to protect her as well." Lavitz said to the knight.

"Yes sir." The two said in a wisper together.

They were coming up to large gates which must have been Hellena. The horse drawn cage stopped to be checked.

"Were taking them to the dungeon." The driver said to the man who was checking the cage. He looked up inside, and saw the three men and lying motionless on the floor was a girl.

"Well well well what do we have here?" The guard asked.

"ouch." Kya woke up with a spear poking her in the side. The wagon began to roll again, but this time Kya looked around not having a clue of what was going on.

"You alright?" Lavitz asked.

"What… how… where?" She said confused.

"We're in Hellena, if that makes things any clearer. We've been captured, but don't worry I'll make sure your not harmed."

"Sir you know you can't promise something like that." The blonde soldier said.

"Quite." He said looking around. They were being drawn inside of the main hallway of Hellena. Then the wagon stopped, and the driver began to unload the prisoners. Kya noticed when Lavitz stood up he was shackled, and so were his men.

"Get up wrench!" The driver said. Kya jumped up, and nearly fell all over herself. Her feet were chained together. She managed to catch onto something; it was Lavitz. He looked at her and helped her stand as best as he could. They all walked down the ramp, and another soldier came over to Kya.

"Now what are you doing down here little girl?" One asked.

"Stop fooling around." A man said as he came into the room. He was very large. All of the soldiers in the room quieted and went about their own business. "So we've finally caught you." He said to Lavitz.

He just looked up, and smiled a gruesome smile. The large man did nothing for a second, but then slapped Lavitz across the face.

"You should find better manners scum!" He said walking off. "Throw them in the dungeon!" He shouted from a distance while walking up the same stares he came down from before. The men pushed the four toward the back, and up some stares. They came to a large bared door, and were thrown inside. After the soldiers left the men unbound, and unshackled themselves.

"Hold still." Lavitz said while knelling before Kya.

"Thank you." She said. "Umm… could I ask your name?"

"Lavitz Slambert; you?"

"Kanoriy Haun… but Kya for short." She said shyly.

"Well Kya lets figure a way out of here."

"Sir I think I have an idea. We can distract the guards for as long as we can, and you could escape to warn his majesty Albert." The red head said.

"I don't know how well that will go, but it might work." The other said.

The group of Knights talked for a while, and decided to put their plan into action. But then their plans were thrown back in their face when the two were taken out of the cell, and driven out of the room. The guards made one fatal mistake of leaving the keys to the cell to close to the two left inside.

"Kya come here. Do you think you can reach the keys. My armor is to bulky, but your small enough to fit through here with no problem." He said kindly.

"I can try." Kya reached for the keys, but then heard foot steeps coming back toward them. "Come on come on." She repeated to herself. "Got-cha." She handed the keys off to Lavitz, and he unlocked the door. He bolted out and killed the guards that were in their way of escaping.

"Come on we need to hurry."

The two ran through Hellena trying to find their companians. Rarely they would get stopped by some guards, but other than that nothing was getting in their way. Then out from around the corner they saw the two soldiers from Basil.

"Stay here!" Lavtiz ordered as he rushed out from Kya's side.

"Ok." Kya said in aggnoligement. She watched as Lavitz ran off to save his comrads. He killed one man, and the two Basil soldiers ran off to get help. Kya hid herself in the shadows as another Hellena soldier ran past her. Then Lavitz ran back over to where Kya was hidden just moments after him and another warrior in red killed the Hellena solders off.

Lavitz grabbed Kya by the wrist, and simply said. "We have to hurry come on." With that the three ran off out of the dungen, and up stairs and elevators.

They all came to a large room and there were a bunch of soldiers just standing around talking. The group went up some stairs over looking all of the soldiers, and they talked about their escape. Kya bent over breathing heavily. She raised her head up seeing a few crates. She also noticed something sitting ontop of one. "Lavitz. I found something." Kya wispered.

"What?" He asked. She picked up the object, and handed it to him.

Dart took the key from Lavitz when he handed it to him. "That must go to the cell Shana is in." Dart said.

"Take it with us. We'll need if the girl called Shana is under confinement. But why only that girl?" Lavitz asked.

"I intend to ask that directly to the head warden. But that's after we rescue Shana." Dart said.

The group of three walked out of the room, and up another elevator. Soon they came across another tower, and entered the first door. Eventualy they walked back to a door that was locked, and went inside the tower. They darted in and out of shadows hiding from the idoitic soldiers that stood around more than anything. Dart looked around one corner, and saw three soldiers just standing around talking. Both Dart and Lavitz silently agreed to catch them off guard. No sooner did they run out weapons drawn did one of the Hellena soldiers look up.

"You...you are from Bale!" A warden shouted.

"Lavitz, get 'em before they make a sound!" Dart said.

"Right. Kya watch our backs." Lavitz said while charging after the guards. Very soon the guards fell in battle one by one.

"Who is it?" A quite voice said.

"That voice. Is that Shana? It's me!" Dart said puzzled at first.

"Dart...is that you, Dart?" The girl said from inside the dark cell.

"Yes, it is me! I am here to rescue you!" Dart said rushing to the bars, and unlocking the door.

"Hurry up, the guard is coming!" Lavitz and Kya said at the same opened the cell door, and went inside. He talked for a few minutes with his friend inside the cell. "Hurry up, the guards are coming back!" Lavitz said more impatiant this time. He shoved a very confused Kya behind him. Dart and Shana walked out as the two were being surrounded by guards.

"The girl is breaking out! I won't let her!" One said.

Dart and Lavitz fought with the soldiers for a few minutes, and unsuprisingly they keeled over rather easily. Dart sheathed his sword. "Shana, are you hurt?"

"No, I'm fine." She replyed.

"We can celebrate later; we are still deep within the belly of the enemy. Besides, it's too damp to have a party, isn't it?" Lavitz said joking.

"Yes, so let's go, Lavitz. Follow me, Shana, Kya."

"Dart, I'm 18 years old now...I can fight too!" Shana said while grabing a bow, and a quiver of arrows.

"She grew up. She was alone in such a hell-like place. If she was a regular woman, she wouldn't have been able to survive. Of course, there are not that many fools who would come to save her." Lavitz said. Kya blinked a few times realizing that she was just a burden more so than a help to them. Dart could sword fight, Lavitz had his Javilan, and now the girl Shana was taking up arms against these horable people.

The four ran almost blindly through Hellena trying to escape. They came across the entrence, but saw horses that they would likely need. Then from almost out of nowhere Fruegel came out and stood between the escapies and the horse pen. Fruegel spoke up, "So, you are the red one acting like a prince!" Kya backed away hiding behind the stone wall close to the entrence of the prison.

"What?" Dart said.

"There is one answer! You and the leader of the knights are feed for the pet! After I mince you up!" The large man bellowed.

"Lavitz, is this the head warden?" Dart asked readying his sword.

"His name is Fruegel. He is so bad even the people of his own country are afraid of him." Lavitz said back. He took a glance at where Kya was hiding. Good just stay there Kya. He thought to himself turning back to face the large man blocking their only form of escape.

"You have such a calm face...or are you paralyzed from fear?" Fruegel laughed at the band of escapies.

"You attacked Seles, didn't you?" Dart shouted irritably at him.

"No, I just gave them the order." He said to Dart.

Dart replied. "Why did you have Shana taken away?"

"I don't know, Emperor Doel just said to bring that girl back. The order was so trivial I added the new one of annihilating Seles!"

"Fruegel...unforgivable!" Dart said clearly agatitaed. Dart charged at him raising his sword high. From out of nowhere two Hellena soldiers blocked his path. He skidded to a stop reforming his attack to defence. Fruegel crossed his arms over his large chest smiling grusomly at the people who dared think that they would escape from him. Once the two were out of the way another pair of soldiers jumped Dart and Lavitz. Shana shot an arrow at one; hitting him in the shoulder. It bounced off the shoulder pad landing harmlessly on the ground. She reloaded her bow, and fired again. This time she succeded in hitting him in the throat. Just before the man died he took something out from a pouch at his waist throwing it at the three warriors. He fell to the ground dead, and his partner just moments after him. Now there was no one daring get in their way of Fruegel.

Kya watched from around the corner at the three as they attacked the man without uttering so much as a word to oneanother. They are like the perfect team... they don't even have to talk. It's almost like they know what the other is thinking. She looked around for something that she could use as a weapon, but to no avail. It was probaly better if she stayed where she was in the first place. With her luck she would just get used as a hostage. She noticed that Dart had just knocked the head warden to the ground. He made a loud thud skiding to a stop against the wall. She ran out from where she was hiding, and stood beside Shana. The two girls looked at each other for a second, and then to Dart.

"Is he immortal? Let's get out of here, Shana!" Dart spoke up.

Lavitz looked around, "Get on the horse, hurry!"

"Bastard! Keep them from going even if it costs you your life!" The large man weised from the ground

"Raise the bridge, jail break!" A warden ordered.

Dart and Shana burst out of the front gate. The two stop to wait, and wait for Lavitz and Kya who are behind two barely make it out alive, and with the group reunited they rushed off from Hellena. They were all thankful that they had gotten out of that place alive.

Eventualy they all made it to a parie, but not without two Hellena soldiers hot on their tail. They ran around the narrow trail, and suddnly Lavitz fell to the ground as an arrow grazed his ankle.

"Does it hurt?" Dart asked coming down to his friend.

"It's only a scratch." He replyed.

"But you gotta cover the wound." Shana said.

"It can be treated later. We gotta run first." Lavitz insisted.

"Lavitz!-" Kya was intrupted.

"Later." He said back.

"I will carry Lavitz. Shana, Kya, go first."

"Don't treat us like childern. We can go with you guys." Shana and Kya said together.

Lavitz stood up, "I can walk by myself."

Shana looks over the log and whispers, "Here they come!"

"Let's go!" Lavitz said begining to walk away. The three started running away once more as two Hellena Wardens start running down the path after them.

A short distance down the path the four hide behind a large tree that has tall weeds and grasses all around it; the two Hellena Wardens approached the tree slowly, where the road splits into three directions; suddenly a sound is heard in the grass.

"There they are!" One stated quitly; he pointed to the grass, and the two began to raise their spears.

"Women first! Then we might spare those people in Basil!" As this is said a small rodent leaps out, hopping around in front of them. Followed by a few more.

"Is this the fugitive?" One asked sounding oddly serious.

"Don't be silly! Go look over there!" The first warden said.

The two guards rush off down the right path; when they are out of sight the four companions all emerge from behind the tree.

"That was close." Dart said.

"?" Kya thought to herself. To close for my taste.

They walked on for a little ways, and came upon a small shack. It seemed derserted, but there was a strange looking horse pened in close by.

Lavitz limped a little. "Tut, such a trifle wound."

"Does it still hurt?" Shana said.

"A little bit."

"I learned first aid, I thought it might be useful. Particularly in times like these." She looked up and smiled slightly.

"Shana? Learning? That's something new!" Dart said mocklingly.

Shana begain to get ill, "Mr. So-and-so might come back injured at any moment." She said crossing her arms. Kya gave a half smirk looking at Dart's confused face.

"Let's use the shack over there." Dart said to change the subject.

"All right." Lavitz said.

"Here let me help you." Kya offered.

Lavitz smiled, and Kya blushed bright red. Then Lavitz made a quick snort as Dart and Shana went into the shack; in turn Kya blushed even brighter. The two walked in, and saw the others standing in the small one roomed building. Lavitz sat on the stool; Shana walked over, and begain to bandage the wound.

"Shana here let me help; you all need to rest." Kya offered. Shana noded her head, and turned to cover her mouth to supress a laugh.

Dart went back outside to check if they were still being followed. "Their." Kya said standing back up.

"Thanks. It's much better now." Lavitz said back in reply. All of a sudden Dart reappeared back in the hut.

Dart stood beside Shana, "It seems we completely lost those fools from Hellena."

"Dart. Tell me about these last five years." Shana started excitledly, but she saw something in his face that made her change her mind. "It's okay, nevermind! We don't have time for this now."

Dart just shook his head, "It was a journey for revenge. It was a journey to find a guy that deprived me of something precious, and kill him. I couldn't tell you, Shana. That's why I left by myself."

"The Black Monster?" She asked quitly. Dart turned and looked back at her. "I only know the name. Nobody would tell me more about it because they said I was still too young."

"What is the Black Monster? What are you talking about?" Lavitz began.

"Black? Monster?" Kya started.

"I have two homes. One is Seles, where I spend time with Shana. And the other is where I spent time with my parents, my first home which was taken from me by the monster eighteen years ago. Neet." Dart then began telling the story of what happed 18 years ago. "And I found this." Dart took a glowing red stone out of his pocket. "What I found on the ground was only this. It's a memento, the only thing my father carried around all the time."

"Dart, it's okay. I understand." Shana said wishing she never asked.

"Shana, I'm sorry I didn't tell you."

"It's okay, I knew you would tell me someday. Don't say anymore." She said back to Dart, trying to smile.

Lavitz spoke up, "So you just came back from a journey to bring closure to the past."

Dart looked back at the man sitting on the stool, "I'm still not there yet."

"You said Neet. It doesn't seem to be a village in this country." The knight said.

"It was located farther north from here. I guess nobody even remembers its name anymore." Dart paused. "Lavitz, tell me, what is going on in this country?"

"Currently, our Kingdom of Basil is at war with the Imperial Sandora. The war has spread all over Serdio."

"Why was the truce broken?" Dart asked looking a tad confused.

"Because of the Dragon, the legendary monster added weight to Sandora and broke the balance of power. Then Emperor Doel started to be more aggressive." The knight said sounding agatated.

"Dragon? No, no way! Such a thing can be used in war?" Dart said.

"Dragon?" Kya said looking at everyone, but none payed any mind.

Lavitz looked atDart intently, "Do you know something about it?"

"I was swooped down on by a dragon before I entered Seles. I was overwhelmed. There was no way to escape from it. I was saved by a passing warrior. That's why I'm still alive." Dart looked at the ground.

Lavitz frowned, andcrossed his arms, "The Dragon is advancing faster than I thought. We must do something or it'll be too late."

"You mean more casualties?" Dart looked over at the knight.

"Yeah, it's a 'war'." Dart ignores or has missed the blatant sarcasm. Kya and Shana just rolled their eyes slightly. "Anyway, I have to go back to Indels Castle in Bale. There are so many things I have to report to King Albert. You know what, Dart? You guys should come along with me. Minister Noish might know something about the Black Monster."

"I see. They're a royalty with a long history. I might be able to find out something new." Dart said cheering up a little bit.

"It's a done deal." Lavitz begain to rise from the stool.

Shana spoke up, "Lavitz, don't take chances. You are not completely well."

"Please sit down you don't want to reopen your wound." Kya urged.

Lavitz: "You two will make good wives one day."

"Thanks!" Shana said getting a little imbaresed.

"ugh... um...heh...?" Kya looked down at the floor embaresed once again.

"Let's go." Dart spoke group left the shack. Dart followed behind the other three up the hill that lead to a tree that is nearly about to fall down, hanging dangerously over the raging river down below.

Dart began to work on a plan, "If we put this tree across the river..."

Lavitz looked at the tree with the same idea in mind. "Hmm...it could work as a bridge. It may be worth trying."

Dart remembered seeing an axe in the shack at the bottom of the hill. He ran back down the hill alone to the shack and grabbed the ax that he saw before he left. "I get it. We can knock down the tree on the cliff using this." He said running back up the the group.

He took a few swings until the tree tilts over. The tree all of a sudden began to fall toward the river.

"Shoot!" Lavitz screamed.

Lavitz grasps at the end of the falling tree as Dart drops the axe to help; Lavitz nearly falls over the edge as the tree drops down below into the rapid moving water.

"We'll have to think of another way." Dart said out of breath. They head back to the river's edge where they were at before. They all looked at the river with little hopes of getting across.

Lavitz spoke, "What's that?"

Everyone looked up river tosee the tree trunk floating downstream toward them, getting hung horizontally in between two large rocks on either side of the banks.

"We can use that as a bridge to get across!" Dart said happly. They all crossed and got safly to the other side.

Down the path a man, woman, and a small boy huddle together at a bend in the dirt road. The four companions leave the happy family, leaving the path through the meadow, following the path until they come upon the entrace to a very large cave.
