Whoza! Chapter 10 finally! ok so just a word of caution ignore my stupid names later on that two of my characters start calling eachother; they suck i know... but i couldnt think of anything better honest! hope yall enjoy this next chapter; dont own LoD duhhhhhh...

Chapter 10: On our own

Geina walked closer to the motionless body laying on the stone floor. She took in a sharp breath as the man began to move slightly. He growned in pain as he slowly opened his brown eyes. His hazy gaze landed on the black haired Geina who stood frozen on the spot. She looked around franticly for a moment noticing everyone else was to busy cheering about the Staff. No one else had noticed him other than her.

"Who are you... where am I?" He pushed himself up slowly. By this point Dart had taken notice to the man Geina was standing by. Dart looked over to the giant syth in the mans right hand.

"GEINA GET AWAY!" Dart shouted. He feared the man was attempting to harm his friend, and he began to rush to her side. He stopped as the Syth fell to the ground. Everyone's attention turned to the two standing off to the side. The black haired man fell over again passing out. Kongol walked over standing beside Geina. She gasped looking up at the giant man. His stone like gaze bore down on her, causing her to feel uneasy. Without a word he picked the man up practly throwing him over his shoulder and taking the syth in his other hand. Things were about to get alot more intresting with their new companion.

"I am the Sun Dragoon Kya! You will all fear and respect me!" A masked woman yelled to the terrifyed towns people. They shuttered at the womans evil cackle. She fliped her silvery hair turning her back. Children began crying for their parents that were separated by a giant wall of flames.

A tall silver haired man grined devishly throwing flaming balls around watching people scatter. Another woman threw her head back and laughed with the man.

"You will all suffer. YOU WILL ALL DIE!" The woman proclaiming to be Kya screamed. "Let it be known that we the Dragoons will kill EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU PATHATIC HUMANS!"

"Hey Kya do you think it was smart of us to leave the others like that?" Geina said through a mouth full of food. "I mean what if these people are really strong,... kind of scary right." She said shuttering a bit. Kya looked up to her friend and sighed.

"For the tenth time today we don't really have a choice, Dart and the others must go after Lloyd and we gotta find the people posing as us." The lone male in the group said scratching his chin.

"Ugh Koji...I know but something doesn't seem right." She said leaning back in her seat. Only then noticing the man on the far end of the room staring at Kya intencly. "Take Mr. Creep over there... I dont like the way he's staring at Kya..."

"Who's staring at me?" Kya asked after ignoring her friends bickering.

Geina pointed off to the far end of the room. "Him the guy with the cloak over there all hooded and creepy." The raven haired girl leaned in closer to the table. "Rose told us to be wery of anyone we meet, and that guys giving me the heeby geebies."

"Come on Geina... Give it a break will you." Koji covered his face with his hands. "oooo you cant see my face I'm gonna get you... Come on girl this inn is packed what are the odds he's stalking Kya."

"He's right Geina... It's just your nerves getting to you. That's all." Kya smiled finishing her food. The other girl nodded slowly taking a slight glance back at the man in the back before she returned to her dinner. "Think I'm going to go take a walk around town; see if I can find anything out." Kya said getting up in a hurry slinging her staff across her back.

"Ky! We were told to stick together!" Geina nearly screamed across the room, but Kya was already outside.

Koji chuckled softly. "Don't worry so much she'll be fine." Geina ploped back into her seat crossing her arms.

"Ugho... where did the creep go?" Geina's eyes darted across the room. The man was no longer sitting at the table, and no longer in the room.

"Sit down you're over reacting..."

Kya walked slowly down the narrow street. The scent of fresh flowers and the near by ocean comforting her. Her dragoon spirit felt warm aganst her chest making her feel well protected. To bad I can't change here, these people would probaly freak... She throught sighing sadly. She leaned over the railing gazing at the calm ocean. Large groups of sea birds squaked flying over the returning boats nipping at small fish cought in nets. They dove into the water only to fly back out seconds later with or without a catch. She could see the fishermen working franticly to get their haul onto the ship before it was all eaten by the birds. No matter how many they seemed to catch they continued to go for more.

She grinned inhailing the blooming flowers scent. She turned her head feeling someones eyes on her. The cloaked man from the bar stood no more than four feet behind her. He said nothing but stared down at her with his brow knit and scowling down at her. His silvery hair curled about in his face hiding most of the glaring ruby eyes from Kya's view. The rest was tied back in a tight braid behind him. He was extremly bulky, not anywhere near Kongol bulky, but he looked just as strong. He crossed his arms across his chest not taking his gaze from Kya.

The tiny girl felt as though she were unable to move. Almost like he paralized her with his powerful stare. She shakly took a step backwards bumping into the railing. He gave a growl of bordom taking one long stride toward Kya. "Go away!" Kya mumbled. She intended to sound tough hoping he would just lose intrest and leave her alone. He brought both hands down beside her on the railing glaring even harder.

"W-what do you want?" She asked holding her dragoon spirit tightly in her hands. She did not want to risk using it, but if she had to she would. Finally agitated enough she balled up her fists looking as threatening as she could. "Get away from me!" He didn't budge.

He spoke softly. "You're being followed." His voice was slightly husky sounding, and deep.

"You're the only creepy stalker out here. Go away and leave me alone!" Kya all but shouted in the mans face.

"Suit yourself..." He stated rather bordly. "When those guys come to slit your throats later don't say I didn't give you a fair warning..."

Kya raised an eye brow at the man. Was he being serious or just being a creep. She wasn't sure about the first but the second seemed more than likly. He leaned in closer to her eyeing her over once more. She tried to form a coherent scentence, but all she got out was 'ehh umm'. She got a good look at the mans face now. His dark red eyes stood out against his almost sickly pail skin and his hair seemed even more silvery than that of Kya's. Under his eyes were dark bags, had he not slept for weeks, she thought to herself.

He gave a crooked grin looking down on the scared girl. "Why are you -!" He grabbed onto her shoulder with one hand holding her face still with the other, claiming a kiss from the scared and confused girl.

"Kya!" Geina shouted. The man looked back to the raven haired girl. "You back off right now!" She shouted clenching her fists infront of herself prepairing to attack. All that caused was for the bulky man to grin, kiss Kya once more before jumping clear over Kya and down to the beach below. Said girl stood wide eyed looking past Geina and Koji as they ran up to her. Koji looked over the railing trying to find where the man had ran off to, but he was already gone.

"Damn..." He muttered under his breath.

Geina shook Kya's shoulders trying to snap her best friend out of her trance. "Ky! Hey Kya common!" The silver haired girl shook her head giving Geina a 'What just happened' look.

"Well that bastard is gone now..." Koji said releasing his hold on the syth on his back.

"Did he hurt you Ky?" Geina asked worriedly.

"N-no.."

"Good cuz if he did I'd so pumble him! Well I'm still going to. What the hell was he doing comming onto you like that!" Geina rambled.

"Lets just go Geina, I don't want to stay in this city any longer." Kya stated pushing past her friend. Geina and Koji extanged stares before following after her. "He said we were being followed Geina." Kya looked over to her right at the other girl. "I don't know if I should believe him or not but.. I think we should be on our guard tonight." They all silently agreed.

~Later that night~

The three dragoons sat around a small camp fire finishing what was left of their dinner. If dried meat and berrys could be concidered dinner that is. They ate without complaint and to much conversation. "I'll take watch tonight, you girls get some rest." Koji said leaning against a tree. After a short protest from Geina and a small squable over when to buy more food, the girls fell fast asleep. After a few hours Koji soon began to drift off into slumber himself. His head dropped down only for him to pick it up again blinking and looking around. Not to much longer and he was out.

The bushs closest to Kya begun to move ever so slightly and the cloaked and hooded man from earlier stepped out into the small light from the fire. He kneeled down next to her shaking her slightly awake placing his hand over her mouth. He shooshed her when she tried to scream. "Wake your friends." He said in a whisper. "And put out that fire." He added.

She looked at him confused before he snatched her up from the ground, a dagger colliding into the place where her head was. Geina jumped up from the sleeping bag and Koji did the same both fully awake now. "Stay behind me..." The cloaked man said holding one hand out, and shielding Kya with the other. "If you two dont want to die as well you best move!" He shouted before chanting something in a strange language. "Grahhhhhhhhhh!" A bright orb began glowing in the mans palm he released it followed by three more. Koji braced the almost pectrfied Geina pulling her out of the way of the mans almost chaotic blasting. Six bodys fell from the tops of the trees, all dead now. The man smiled devilishly at his own work.

Koji held his syth out facing the intruder/ savior. "Kya come over here." He said without breaking the semi manic of a mans gaze. Kya walked around the man picking up her staff from the ground slowly backing away from him. She stopped and took a step foward as he collapsed to one knee. "Don't go near him Kya! We don't know what he's capable of!"

"Thank you... for helping us." Kya said quietly. "Is there anything you want in return?" She asked before taking a glace back at her friends. Who shook their heads saying 'just leave him, lets go!'

He looked up through his tangled hair at her. He seemed to think for a moment before holding a finger up silently telling her to come closer. She hesitently obliged. Thinking that because he helped them he couldn't be bad, right? He motioned for her to come closer, and she did. He smiled grabbing onto her arm pulling her into another kiss. Never mind he's a creep! Her sences with her this time she took her staff wacking him across the back of the head. He fell limply to the ground. Geina ran over to her friend helping her up.

Koji poked the unconciense man with the blunt end of his syth. "Come on lets go." He said turning around picking up his few belongings. Geina did the same, wanting to put some distance between them and the weird man. Kya stood still staring down at him pondering what to do. Koji started to put out the small fire, but stopped looking up at Kya.

"We can't just leave him here... can we?"

Geina stopped what she was doing all together. "You can't be serious about that Ky."

Kya sighed looking at her. "We can tie him up." Koji rolled his eyes pulling a rope out from his pack. The small girl smiled up at him as he tied the other man's hands behind him.

They managed to get a little more sleep before dawn came. The man still hadn't awoken. Kya poked his stone like jaw a few times in mild ammusment; dark eyes opened scaning the almost empty camp. Geina glared at him hatefully, Koji just ignored his presence entirely and Kya continued to poke him. "Alright I'm awake..." He mumbled.

"Good get up we're leaving." Koji said holding his syth in one hand. Kya got up following after the other two. The new member, or captive rather, followed soon after. He tugged on the ropes a few times before becomming bored with them.

"What's your name?" Kya asked for the second or third time. He looked down at her smiling smuggly.

"If you wish to know my name you must be intrested in me hum?"

"No we're tired of calling you 'Captian creepy stalker the retard'...Its to long..." Geina said boredly.

He gave a slight roll of his eyes. "Vlad Diamont..." He said flatly. Vlad looked to Koji. "He must be 'Tight ass the over protective'." Koji grunted trying to ignore Vlad. He soon grew bored once more at being ignored. Vlad took a few quick strides to walk next to Kya. "Hey sweet heart, untie my hands will you?" He grinned down at her. Kya looked as though she were pondering it for a second before Geina chimed in.

"If you don't shut up, you're going to get a gag to go along with that.."

"Wow this is how you thank someone who helps you?" They all ignored him.

"Kya do you know the name of the town that those imposters were at last?" Geina asked.

Kya thought for a moment. "I want to say it was one outside of Fruni, Itian if i remember right." She said tapping one finger on her chin in thought. "Where should we head? There isn't really a pattern to their havioc."

"We should head to Itian; maybe they're still close by." Koji stated. Vlad watched with mild intrest, clearly they had no since of battle plans.

"What do they expect to get out of this anyway..." Geina asked. "Just to keep us blindly chasing them around... I mean at least that weirdo Dart and them are chasing obviously has a motive." She paused. "But this seems weird ya know?"

"Think we can take them?" Kya asked to Geina, who smiled brightly.

"We'll teach them to mess with the real thing!" She proclaimed. "And then we can meet back up with Dart and everyone and help them." She pumped her fists into the air emphisizing her point.

Vlad laughed. "And what exactly do you plan to 'Teach them'?" He stopped laughing for a moment. "You don't exactly look like you know what you're doing..." He said bluntly. Geina opened her mouth to make a snappy come back but could think of nothing. She crossed her arms muttering to herself. "Here's a deal for you. Let me go and I can fight them hum? What do you say?" He asked sounding sort of bored.

Geina looked back at him grabbing Kya's arm moving her away. "So you can attack Kya in her sleep? I think not buddy."

He gave a grunt saying what sounded like. 'She'd like it though.' They all chose to ignore him espessily Kya.

"AHHHHHHHHHH!" They heard screams and shouting from what sounded like a few hundred people.

"Girls stay here for a second!" Koji said before dashing off. He came back moments later pail faced and frantic. "I think we found them!" He shouted Kya and Geina looked to one another and ran after him. At the top of the hill they could see the small village of Itian. Apparently the imposters were keeping the entire town impresended torturing them day in and day out. They set buildings ablaze, killed off unspeakable amounts of villagers and destoried the small farms, animals and crops alike.

They looked to the top of a newly burning building seeing a lone form standing on the top, cackling hystaricly at the mayhem he had caused.

Well that's all for now! So what does everyone think of Vlad? He's probaly one of my fav. of my origonial characters to be honest haha; just does what ever the hell he wants obviously huh. Well the confrentation with the imposters is fixing to start next chapter! Now hit that little review button or Vlad will have to attack Kya in kisses again!
