Gaara's crush-
Chapter one:
Chihiro
A young girl with long midnight black hair sat under a tree staring fearfully at the campfire that was a few feet away from her. She sat hugging her knees, resting her head on them. Her black eyes frightfully watching every spark that flew from the fire as it danced in the light wind. The fire cast a shadow over her face as she started to shiver from the cold and it didn't help that she wore a white t-shirt and blue pants. She didn't seem to notice that she was shivering because she kept staring intensely at the fire, watching every spark. Just then someone stood right in front of her. She looked up to see a boy with reddish-brown hair, sky blue eyes and the kanji for love tattooed on his forehead.
"Chihiro, you're shivering. Here." the boy said as he held a blanket out to her. Chihiro took the blanket from him and wrapped it around herself. The boy then started to walk back over to his spot by the fire when he heard Chihiro call his name. He stopped and looked back over his shoulder at her.
"Gaara," Chihiro called talking for the first time since Gaara and her other friend Jason had found her. "Thank you...for comming after me."
Gaara looked at her for a moment more. He then walked back to his spot at the fire and sat down. "You're welcome."
For a moment the fear in Chihiro's eyes vanished, but returned inmeaditly. Chihiro once again rested her head on her knee's, her eyes once again staring fearfully into the fire, watching every sparkas it flew. She didn't even look up when Jason had come back from gathering firewood. Chihiro had never told them why she was afraid of fire, but they had only found out a few weeks ago thanks to a bully-that had to do with fire jitsu's- had been picking on her.
The wind blew harshly through the forest making the fire dance wildly as a spark landed near to Chihiro's right foot. Chihiro gaspped and moved backwards untill she was against the trunk of the tree, a tearifide looked had crepted onto her face.
Jason had put the firewood down and went over to where Chihiro was. He stepped on the spark putting it out, with his sandle, squishing it into the ground. Jason then walked over to Chihiro and knelt down next to her.
"You alright?" He asked, his hazel blue eyes worried as his long brown braided hair swayed in the remaining wind.
Chihiro looked at her friend, in his gray t-shirt with a fish net shirt underneath and his black baggy pants. "Y-yeah, I'm fine now." Chihiro replied her voice shacky with fear and for the first time noticed Gaara was looking in her direction.
"We should get back to the Center. They will be looking for us in two days." Jason said.
Chihiro was once again calm and sat hugging her knee's and rested her head on them. "I...I don't want to go back there."
A expression of shock ran onto Jason's face. "Why? Why, Chihiro won't you come back to the villiage that took you in and gave you a home?"
Chihiro didn't anwser him.
Gaara's eyes windened for a moment, not beleiving what she said, but went back to normal. He then got up and walked over to her. "Chihiro,"
Chihiro looked up at her friend when she had heard him say her name.
"You're coming back to the sand villiage." Gaara ordered her.
Chihiro shook her head. "No, I won't."
Gaara's eyes seemed to wideden slightly. He then turned around, walked back to his spot and sat down. He then glared into the fire. Now, there were no one who talked back to Gaara of the Desert because they knew if they did...Gaara would kill them, but Chihiro would talk back to him, even knowing he would probably kill her. That never stopped Chihiro from talking back to Gaara and for some reason Gaara couldn't kill her. It was as if he couldn't bring himself to kill Chihiro. It was as if he actully cared about her. Gaara often found himself thinking, 'Why? Why can't I kill her like all the others? She's just annother one of them. So, why can't I kill Chihiro!' Now, this frustated him.
"I...don't fitin in the village. I wasn't even born there. Don't get me wrong, I'm very greatfull for what everyone in the village has done for me..." Chihiro said and looked at Gaara and then at Jason.
"But?" Jason asked.
"I want to know who I was before I was takken in by the village..." Chihiro said and closed her eyes. "I close my eyes and try to remember, but all I see is...fire." Chihiro said and opened her eyes.
"We'll come with you." Jason said and Gaara nodded.
Chihiro smiled and nodded. "Thank you." Chihiro then leaned against the tree, wrapping her blanket around her self as she fell a sleep.
"Gaara! Go sit besider her." Jason said.
Gaara glared at Jason, took the gord off his back and put it beside him. Then he layed down where he was and closed his eyes. "Don't order me around, or else."
"Wasn't an order." Jason replied in a low voice.
In Chihiro's Dream.
Chihiro was standing in a room that was on fire. She wanted to run, but she was frozen in fear. "H-help me! Someone please help me!" Chirhiro screamed as tears trickled down her face. Just then Chihiro saw a shadowy figure walking towards her as he did some hand signs, that looked vagly familiar. The figure then stopped and put his hands to his mouth and blew through two of his fingers. Chihiro then saw a huge stream of flames coming towards her, but her legs wouldn't move.
"Chihiro!"
End Dream
Chihiro opened her eyes to see Gaara and Jason looking at her. Chihiro was breathing heavily and there were tear marks on her face.
"Are you alright?" Jason asked worriedly.
"Yeah, just had a bad dream." Chihiro said and whiped the tears from her eyes.
"Let's go." Gaara said and tuened walking away.
