Chapter One – Lady Pastry Head and Sir Limping Twit
Christine Wilis, a 25 year old Star Wars obsessed nerd (Proper Name Sweek), Sat in the waiting room of Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in a Princess Leia senatorial gown costume. Her brownish black hair was pulled up into pastry cinnamon buns on either side of her head to complete the look. Christine tried very hard to ignore the stares of people around her as it wasn't every day you saw Princess Leia sitting next to you especially one with a bleeding nose, a busted bottom lip and a swollen left eye which would no doubt be a black eye in a few hours, And all of that was all you could See on the outside. Under her gown she had a bad bruise forming across her stomach and ribs and under the right sleeve of her gown a large cut on her forearm was still bleeding, Christine was holding the gown so blood wouldn't get on it. She tapped her feet to the Star Wars theme she was currently humming as she waited to be called in to see a Dr. She'd written on her sign in sheet that she preferred to see Dr House, although she'd never met him, She just wanted to see who had Her Best friend – Allison Cameron- So Gaga.
Dr Allison Cameron came into the clinic area, searching for Dr House, She walked over to the Nurses station where Dr Lisa Cuddy, Dean of Medicine, was sending patients into rooms and helping out making sure House does his job.
"Dr Cameron, What can I do for you?" asked Dr Cuddy looking up from a chart
"I was wondering if you'd seen Dr House," replied Cameron.
"He just went in with a patient, Is Something wrong?" She looked back down at the sign in sheet.
"No it's just we got the results back on –"
"Oh…This is …shocking..." Cuddy cut Cameron off as she looked up surprised.
"What's wrong?" asked Cameron.
"Someone asked to See House, Specifically," Cuddy said then turned to the people in the waiting room, "Christine Wilis?" Cuddy looked at Christine as she stood up, blinking a little and then smiled "Or Should I say Princess Leia…Room Three,"
"Chris? What are you doing here?" asked Cameron also looking over her friend.
"'Ello Ali, nothing too bad, I was at a Comic Con earlier and got into a fight with some trekkies," replied Christine with a slight British accent. "and to get something to get rid of a head cold."
"You worry me Jordan, C'mon," said Cameron pulling her into Exam Room Three, shutting the door behind them. "Alright, what are you up to? Why'd you ask for House specifically?"
"I wanted to see the bloke who has your heart a flutter," Christine said hopping up to sit down on the exam table.
"My heart a flutter, Chris, are you feeling okay?" Cameron asked her worriedly.
"I'm fantastic! Ali…I just met Mark Hamill, and he hugged me! And I got a picture with him!" Christine grinned excitedly, "I'm giddy," (A/N: No I have never met Mark Hamill, But ONE DAY I WILL and when I do my friend Wormie and I will kidnap him )
Cameron smiled as Dr House, a handsome older man with dark hair and blue eyes that looked as if they could read your soul, came limping in with a cane in one hand and a chart in the other, "Afternoon, I'm Dr House," he stopped abruptly as he looked up and saw Cameron, "Dr Cameron what are you doing in here, You're not on clinic duty."
"This is my friend Christine..." Cameron said quietly.
House looked Christine over disbelievingly, "Pastry style hair…sci-fi outfit…funny, I don't recall Cuddy saying Carrie Fisher was in here…botox does wonders doesn't it Carrie?"
"Don't know, you tell me," Christine retorted like water off a ducks back.
"How Cute Carrie thinks she's clever," House extended his hand, something he hardly ever did for a patient, "Pleasure to meet you Princess," he said sarcastically handing his cane to Cameron.
"Oh, no, the pleasure is all mine Ali talks about you all the time," she said taking his hand and started to shake it.
House held onto her hand and pulled her sleeve up with the other showing the cut on her forearm with a little bit of glass imbedded in it, "You Aussie's REALLY need to learn to stop getting in bar fights, or were you trying break through your window to get away from a rabid kangaroo?"
"I'm British you limping twit!" Christine snarled yanking her arm out of his grasp.
House couldn't help but look a bit pleased as he grabbed some surgical prongs and hydrogen peroxide, "Cameron hold onto her arm while I Pull this out,"
Cameron nodded and held Christine's arm as House pulled the glass out with the prongs and cleaned the wound. All the while Christine glared daggers at house.
"There you go Princess, You can go back and Find Nemo now," House headed for the door.
Christine started coughing and covered her mouth flicking him off, "Prick," she said between coughs each one getting worse
House headed for the door and opened it then turned around and spoke in a very overly accented Australian accent, "G'Day mate!"
Christine stood to get up and get her things, a star wars messenger bag with her souvenirs from the convention inside and a black trench coat, "Goodbye Ali, I'll…call you… later…" her words slowed down as she started to get dizzy and fall forward.
"Chrisi! Are you alright," Cameron said with worry and concern as she caught her and struggled to help Christine back up onto the table.
"I'm alright; I'm… just a little tired…" Christine looked up at Cameron looking more pale then normal, causing the blood from her nose and lip and the swollen eye (which was starting to turn purple) to clash horribly with her skin color.
House limped back over and looked at her, "Cameron, have her admitted, she's dehydrated. Get her hooked up to an IV of fluids, Princess you'll be staying here a few days,"
Christine shook her head trying to stand up but Cameron made sure she stayed seated. "I can't I have a job ...Interview tomorrow I cant pass it up.. Need the money... Penny…."
"Not anymore you don't," House said limping out the door and shutting it.
Christine glared after him, "He seriously needs to learn his accents," Christine said weakly leaning on Cameron as she led her into the main part of the hospital, stopping only to get a wheelchair from one of the nurses in the Nurse's station.
"He enjoys teasing people, He makes British jokes to Chase all the time and he's Australian." Cameron explained admitting Christine into a room. Once they were in the room Cameron shut the door. "Chrisi…what really happened?" Cameron helped her younger friend up and out of the wheelchair and onto the bed.
"Al, I told you it was Trekkies," Christine said not meeting her gaze as she relaxed into the bed.
"Christine…" Cameron said warningly.
Christine looked down, "It was an accident…Adam…he just…got jealous….Cause I might've been flirting with Mark a bit…and he didn't mean to hit me, he was aiming for the wall…I was Just in the way.." Christine tried her hardest to keep her nostrils from flaring as she lied. "It's the only time he's ever done it Ali, It's nothing,"
Cameron didn't say anything, but she could always tell when she was lying. "Do you want me to Call Erik?"
"Yeah, just…tell him I got attacked by Lestat or Louis actually Louis doesn't like to hurt humans make it Jean Claude or Armand….Marius is good too…and Asher" Christine said.
Cameron shook her head, "Only you would make it weird," Cameron smiled at her younger, and best friend who was totally obsessed with Lycans and Vampires. "You go ahead and change
Into you're gown, I'll be back in a minute with Forman and Chase."
"What do I need a neurologist for?"
"You're a head case that's why, After all your twenty five and your flirting with a guy who's like…70 something –"
"Fifty four!" Christine cut in correcting her.
"Fifty four year old, Mark Hamill…Do you see my point?" Cameron kept a serious look on her face for about three seconds then broke into a big grin.
Christine pouted, "You're so mean to me Ali Cameron."
"I'll be right back okay?" Cameron said then went out of the room and out of sight.
Christine sighed, She wasn't one for hospitals, she never really had been since a hospital back in London, where she was born, had let her father die after on a drug bust, (he was a Private Investigator for the Scotland Yard) and he'd gotten shot, he'd slipped into a coma and been in the hospital for five months before they finally just gave up and pulled the plug. Christine's mother had started drinking bad, so her and her twin brother had been picked up by their Mother's Sister, and moved back to America with her to the North Part of New Jersey. But she quite liked her life, she'd been in ballet ever since they'd moved to America, and her Aunt had bought Christine anything she'd wanted, let her take whatever she wanted, Ballet, Tap Jazz, Singing lessons, Drama, Christine's brother Erik had chosen to go to Art school, and was now in Art College in New York. Christine had met Allison at a party and two had made instant friends. Christine was even Allison's maid of honor at her wedding. She'd had gone to a Catholic school, complete with uniform and nuns. Christine continued to think about the past when she was ripped from her thoughts as Cameron came back into the room with two men, A Blonde haired blue eyed dream boat, and a handsome dark skinned man. The blonde one had a few IV's in his hands.
"Chrisi this is Dr. Robert Chase," Cameron said gesturing to the blonde, "and Dr. Eric Foreman, Guys this is my best friend Christine Wilis."
"It's nice to meet you," said Forman.
"You too," Christine smiled back sitting up in the bed.
Chase looked her over and smiled, "It's an Honor Princess Leia,"
Christine, for the first time in her life, felt herself blushing, "Thanks," She said as she looked down to hide the redness in her cheeks. "Ali talks about you guys a lot, Not as much as House though," Christine smirked at the look on Cameron's face from behind Chase, which was a "I'm going to kill you in you're sleep Chris" mixed with a "I Don't Like House Like That "
A Nurse stuck her head in the door, "Dr Foreman, there's a patient asking to Speak with you,"
"I'll be there shortly," said Foreman turning to the nurse then back to Jordan, Cameron and Chase. "Guess that's my cue to exit, Nice to meet you Christine,"
"You too," Christine replied as he exited the hospital room.
Chase smiled at Christine "This should only hurt for a second," he said taking her hand and gently inserting the IV needle into a vein on the top of her hand.
Christine winced slightly and looking at him and not focusing on the needle, "What part of Australia are you from?"
"Melbourne," Chase replied hanging up the IV bag "Born and Raised, Ever Been?"
"I've seen pictures…" Christine said smiling and watching him as he looked over her vitals to make sure nothing went wrong. "I've been to Sydney thought, My Aunt took my Brother Erik and I for our 16th Birthdays, Erik spent most of His Time at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, I stayed nearer to the Opera House,"
"Oh You Like Theatre then?"
"Yeah, I suppose that's what I get for being born in the land of Billy Shakespeare,"
Chase smiled, "You Met House Yet?"
Christine nodded, "Said I need to go Find Nemo,"
Chase laughed, it was heart warming and golden, "That's House for you, he does the same to me, only the other way around," Chase said.
Christine turned and faced Cameron, "What in the name of Axl Rose do you see in him Al?"
Cameron, who'd been watching them and keeping quiet looked a bit embarrassed, "He's just a talented doctor that's all."
"Whatever you say Allison," Christine grinned.
"Yeah, what ever you say Allison, and stop hiding you're friends," Chase said then turned to look at Christine, "You're all set, be good as new in no time, If you need anything call me," he said handing her the TV remote.
"Thank you Dr Chase, it was very nice to meet you,"
"You too," he smiled sexily with his blue green eyes shining before he exited.
Christine held her smile till he was gone out of site and then rounded on her friend, "Allison Cameron, I Am Going to bloody skin you alive! You've been working here almost a year and you've never introduced us! I'm even here all my free time when Adam doesn't need me so I can be upstairs with Penny! You can't have both him and House!"
"Me? Like Robert Chase?" Cameron laughed slightly, "He's a spoiled Stuck up Rich Kid, That's you're type not mine,"
Christine looked to her friend pouting slightly, "Remind me again why I'm with Adam?"
Cameron smiled slightly, "Still Boy Crazy Chris?"
"Not Boy Crazy…Man Crazy, and THAT was a man,"
"Either way, get some sleep Chris,"
"Little Prude sleep," Christine snored fakely.
Cameron rolled her eyes and went out into the hallway pulling the sliding glass door shut behind her. Christine relaxed back into the bed turning on the T.V. falling asleep almost instantly from exhaustion and dehydration.
