"Are you ready to go home? Something tells me that Mokuba is probably planning the same surprise he did for Amethyst. Unless you want to avoid the gang entirely and take the long way home." Seto asked, helping Yami up off the bed carefully.
"I owe it to them to show up. Jii-san was there when the twins were born; he helped me before they came. You did the big part though. You kept your promise, Seto… you were there for me and the twins." Yami smiled softly.
Seto nodded and helped move Yami to the wheelchair that the nurse wheeled into the room. He knew that his husband didn't want to be wheeled out, but he was also aware Dr. Shinimori would probably recommend it. So he really had no choice in the matter, especially if it would incur the wrath of their doctor.
"Ah, good afternoon. Looks like everything is in order and you're free to go home. Just remember these… and have someone get you more when you run out. This should last a couple days. But the bleeding itself can last longer than that." Dr. Shinimori grinned, handing Yami a paper bag. She almost laughed when she saw the look on his face.
"You want me to wear these? It's bad enough I saw one when it fell out of Anzu's blazer pocket. I did not need to know about them then, and I certainly don't need to know about them now." Yami spoke, pointing to the bag with a rather definitive blush on his face.
"It's either that or have you bleed over everything. It will stop in showers and baths. However I am willing to bet that it will end sooner for you when everything is healed. So it will be different circumstances than that of a woman." Dr. Shinimori smiled.
Yami sighed, leaning back against the wheelchair. His face was almost as red as his eyes; he could not believe he had to wear these things. And now he had to find someone to get them for him. He wouldn't be caught dead even thinking about walking down the feminine supplies aisle let alone buying anything from there.
"Alright… thank you…" Yami muttered, trying to hide the paper bag but it was to no avail. He knew that it held necessary supplies, but it didn't mean that it wasn't embarrassing to him. He looked up at Seto, the blush clearly not leaving his cheeks just yet.
"I can get the maids to buy what you need, love. I'll hide the bag in your overnight bag. Now what about SL?" Seto grinned, handing Yami the plushie dragon to make room for the paper bag that held the rather embarrassing products for his smaller husband.
"I'll hold the dragon thank you very much. Who is going to help carry the twins out anyway?" Yami asked softly, holding the plush dragon while he looked back at the carriers that were on the bed. He really did not want to leave his sons here.
"Jeeves will. I'll wheel you out to the limo. Just be prepared for Mokuba when we go home. But you should be after what happened with Amethyst. I thought you were going to yell at him." Seto smiled, pushing Yami out of the room. He nodded toward Jeeves when he went to retrieve the tiny infants.
"No… but I would have if he hurt them you know?" Yami smiled, looking up at Seto as they were finally leaving the hospital. Although he knew that Mokuba would never hurt the babies even if he wanted to. His worries were set at ease with that thought alone.
"Oh Ra… he did it again." Yami sighed, looking up at Seto once Jeeves opened the door to the back of the limo. He dreaded to see what the inside would hold once they entered the mansion. Part of him knew it wasn't going to bode well, especially if the outside was any indicator.
"Just be prepared for anything Yami. God only knows who he invited for their welcome home party. But if the mutt is here… so help me…" Seto sighed before he helped Yami to the doorway, making sure that the babies were safe in their little carriers. He took a deep breath before he opened the door, only to see everyone he didn't want to see. A low moan escaped from his throat, disappointment evident in his features.
"They're here!" Yuugi smiled, watching as Seto opened the door first before he saw Yami walk in with one carrier, while Seto held the other. He didn't see the babies born, but he was there in the aquarium when it happened. He was still impressed that Yami didn't scream at the top of his lungs.
"Welcome home. Oh… they are so cute. Do you want me to take one of them from you?" Mai asked, smiling as she went to help Seto and Yami into the living room. Making sure that they didn't trip over the two stairs that led from the landing to the floor. She couldn't tell which twin was which yet though since they were asleep.
Yami smiled before he handed Setep over to Mai, he walked into the living room where he was greeted by the open arms of Yuugi and Sugoroku. He smiled and returned the hug to Yuugi first, looking around at the others who had smiles on their faces as well. He was glad they were all happy with what had happened. Then again he was older now than he was when Amethyst was born.
"Mou Hitori no Boku! You're looking better, I must admit that. And the twins are even more adorable. Jou, careful with Heru! I swear…" Yuugi sighed as he stepped back from his taller counterpart. He just hoped that Yami was feeling better than the last time he saw him.
"Thank you, Aibou. I'm feeling a little better actually. Still sore, but that's normal. Or so the doctor told me. It shouldn't last too long, especially with the help of baths and a few other things." Yami smiled before he let Sugoroku hug him next. So far everything was coming along well. No major incidents and best of all no fights between Jou and Seto yet.
"We're so proud of you, Yami. Please sit down while we take care of other things here." Sugoroku smiled, helping Yami to a comfy chair. He then went into the kitchen to help keep an eye on Honda so he didn't eat Yami's cake or special lunch.
Otogi smiled and stood next to Yami, putting a hand on his shoulder. He too was happy for his friend. He looked down at him before looking over at the twins. He missed another birth, he had missed Amethyst too but he was in labor with his son at the time too.
"Yami, next time you get pregnant let me tag along with you so I don't miss another birth." Otogi grinned, but that turned into a kind smile. He had to learn to predict when his friends had children so he could be there at least on the same day if not right there in the room.
"Sure, tomodachi… you should just follow me to any public venue." Yami chuckled softly, looking up at Otogi before continuing. "Of course if I do get pregnant again, steer me away from anything else that is expecting or giving birth."
"Deal." Otogi smiled, giving Yami's shoulder a gentle squeeze. He knew that his friend didn't really plan things to go the way they did. Or have a weird trigger for giving birth. But that just made the other special.
"Alright, enough of the lovey dovey crap. What exactly are you all planning that involved buying out the entire party supply store?" Seto asked, crossing his arms as he stood next to his husband. Part of him half expected Reina to show up unannounced as well. Then he would have a hell of a lot to explain.
"A party, nii-sama. What else did you think we were planning?" Mokuba smirked before he darted off to the kitchen. He made sure everything was still there since he knew he saw Jou and Honda wander back in that general direction.
"Ra help us…" Yami muttered under his breath before he looked over at the twins with a smile on his face. He was still happy with his sons; he wouldn't trade them for anything or give them up for anything in the world. He knew that Amethyst was upset that she didn't get a baby sister though.
"Oh I don't know… I figured you were plotting for world domination by means of sugar and party favors." Seto grinned, looking at his younger brother. He knew his brother better than that truthfully, but he didn't say anything.
"I don't think you'll be seeing your twins again for awhile, Kaiba." Honda chuckled softly; he didn't notice that Otogi had vanished off somewhere. He was trying to answer Seto's question to the best of his abilities without blushing.
"Mokuba has every right to show them around the house. They're his nephews after all. So… when are you and Otogi going to go for another baby? You can't let us beat you." Seto smirked.
"You only beat us because Yami had twins. As for us, we've been trying. But so far no luck. Maybe we're meant to only have one. Then again we could be surprised like you were with the twins." Honda replied, now noticing his husband's absence.
"We wanted another child, Honda. The twins were planned. Why don't you go find your husband and leave before we kick you out?" Seto started, he knew Yami needed his rest before he got sick. He hoped that wouldn't be the case though.
"Right. I'll see you two later." Honda started before he headed out to look for Otogi. He was concerned for his husband, but he'd ask him what was going on later. He could tell they more than likely overstayed their welcome.
Seto sighed and shook his head as he went to find his husband as well. But he knew Yami was upstairs resting, and the twins were with Mokuba. So he figured he better head upstairs as well to try and make up a little for the time they missed together.
