Rory Gilmore sat on the front porch. She was thoroughly confused. She loved Dean, she thought. But Jess

had messed things up. Or had she? It had all started with the stupid basket bidding. $90 was insane of Jess

to spend on a dumb basket. No. It hadn't started with the baskets. It had started when Jess came to Stars

Hollow. Jess came and made Dean mad. He and Tristan both had that unique talent to annoy the heck out

of Dean. Now Tristan was gone, and Jess was getting on Dean's nerves.

Jess had had her bracelet. She knew it. Yet he had a point-why had it taken two weeks for her to notice

that it was gone? She hadn't even noticed it, either-Dean had. She didn't know if Jess had taken it off of

her wrist that day on the bridge, or if she had. She guessed it really didn't matter. She fingered the bracelet.

She thought about Jess, and then Dean. And then she cried.
