Title: All the Time in the World

Rating: G

Prompt Set: 50.1

Prompt: 02. Magical

Summary: In a world full of magic, magical moments often go unnoticed.

In a world where potions, spells, werewolves, witches, wizards and practically anything else one's mind might conjure up serve as everyday norms, the true magic in life, like the first time you kiss that one someone you know you're meant to spend the rest of your days waking up to, or that first fight with your best friend, and even that, now, embarrassing crush you used to have on one of your professors, tend to go unnoticed. Coming from muggle parents and growing up in a non-magic household, Hermione learned to appreciate the true magical moments in life, the ones not centered around the use of a wand, an evening discussion with the love of your life for instance.

"Vhat are you doing," Viktor spoke softly, sitting down on the couch beside Hermione and peering into the photo album on her lap.

"Oh, just looking at some photographs," Hermione smiled, "you remember that day," she said, pointing to a picture of Viktor laying on a picnic blanket.

"Yes," Viktor chuckled as he watched himself in the picture wave at Hermione who was hidden behind the camera. Viktor hugged Hermione close, "Vhen Ian is older, ve take him," Viktor rubbed Hermione's now sixth month stomach.

"You mean when Emily Elizabeth Krum is older, we're going to take her to the park for a picnic," Hermione corrected Viktor with a smile. Both agreed not to find out the gender of the baby until 'it' was born, but that didn't stop either of them from picking at the other and giving the baby a name.

"No, no," Viktor argued, "he is a boy."

"No. She's a girl," Hermione rebutted.

"How you know," Viktor inquired, turning to look at Hermione with an accusing face, "did you sneak and find out vithout telling me?"

"Of course not," Hermione protested in mock outrage, "that would be cheating and I would lose the bet!"

Yes, Hermione and Viktor had started a betting pool on the gender of their first child, figuring they should start it before a colleague, friend, or worse relative started one without them knowing about it. Viktor, Ron, Charlie, Bill, Percy, Remus Lupin, and even Professor McGongall had bets on a boy, while Hermione, the rest of the Weasleys, Viktor's entire family, and shockingly most of the Bulgarian National Quidditch team had placed their money on a girl.

"Viktor," Hermione smiled innocently up at him, cueing Viktor in that she wanted something.

"Vhat, my loff," Viktor responded, hugging Hermione to his chest.

"If… just, maybe, completely by accident, hypothetically speaking, … someone was to know the gender of the baby… you wouldn't get mad, would you?"

Viktor lowered his brow, "You cheated!"

"Viktor," Hermione replied, "I said hypothetically speaking. That means I don't know. It's just, well I don't know. I'm so anxious and nervous and scared. I want a whole house full of kids. I have since I can remember."

Viktor scowled at her, "then ve haff enough to fill quidditch team or two," Viktor smiled.

"Oh, dear. I don't know about that many."

"Haff long time to decide,"

"You're right. We have all the time in the world."
