Summary: Sequel to "Hide and Seek". Winner or loser: Depends on how you look at it. Roxas muses on this after losing a game of hide and seek to Axel. Or maybe he's winning… YAOI. AkuRoku
Author's Note: Yeah, I did a sequel. Picture it: 1:30 AM, high on caffeine and sugar, and I get the sudden urge to write a slashy sequel to Hide and Seek. Usually, I can't think of any good slash ideas…
Disclaimer: I own nothing. Kingdom Hearts belongs to Tetsuya Nomura. And in this particular fic, I think it's safe to say that Roxas belongs to Axel.
How do you define "Winner"? How do you define "Loser"?
Roxas supposed it all depended on perspective. If winning benefited for you, you were a winner. But if winning was bad for you, then you were losing. If losing benefited for you, you were winning. If it didn't benefit for you, you were a loser.
These thoughts tended to give Roxas one hell of a headache. He'd been having a lot of those since he lost a game of hide and seek to Axel. Axel hadn't raped him or anything- they didn't have sex- Roxas just sort of laid there, shocked, as Axel kissed him. At first, Roxas was just stunned. Okay, he was stunned for the half-hour it all lasted, but that's not the point.
(Flashback)
He was both relieved and terrified. Relieved that Axel's version of winning didn't involve those nasty looking chakrams, and terrified because, well, wouldn't you be terrified if you had some crazy redhead practically sitting on you and trying to provoke you into making out with him (A/N: Axel fangirls, THAT DOESN'T COUNT FOR YOU!)?
Roxas was also confused. He had lost, so… Was he supposed to be responding to this? Kissing Axel back? Try not to faint, or sink through the floor, like he so desperately wanted to? Meanwhile, while Roxas was distracted, Axel moved his mouth from the younger boy's and began to suck on his jaw. Roxas, suddenly snapping back to reality, jumped a little. Should he say something? Tell Axel to stop.
Yeah, Roxas snorted mentally. Like he'll really stop if I ask him t-ah! He yelped when Axel began to suck on his neck, and went rigid. Axel stopped and looked up.
"Relax," He purred, planting a chaste kiss on the boy's cheek. "I'll be gentle." This statement frightened Roxas more than anything else- What exactly would Axel need to be gentle about? Nervous, he began to struggle a little, trying to get Axel off him. The redhead sat straight up, so he was straddling the blonde's waist, and looked down at Roxas coyly. "What?" He asked. "Don't you like it?"
How to respond to that question… It was like one of those no-win questions; like, when a girl asks a guy if she looks fatter than she was last week. Either way, the guy gets slapped. If Roxas said no, Axel would probably be insulted somehow (in the back of his mind, Roxas wondered why he cared), and that could end quite badly. If he said yes… Well, it went without saying that this would continue.
"I…" He stopped and shivered as Axel ran a hand down his chest. It strayed no lower, though, and that was some vague comfort. "I… Don't… I…" Instead of answering, he looked away.
"Would it help if I stopped pinning you?" Axel asked innocently. Roxas hesitated, wary of the older boy's intentions. Still unable to form proper words, he just gave something of a vague nod. Axel slid off of Roxas, his eyes showing nothing but pure (though maybe 'pure' wasn't the best term) innocence. Roxas slowly sat up, feeling pin-pricks on his legs and hips where Axel had straddled him.
He should've known there'd be a catch. As soon as he looked comfortable, Axel had thrown his arms around Roxas' waist and tugged him onto his lap, leaning in and kissing him again.
That had gone on for a few minutes, and then Axel had excused himself, saying he had business to attend to.
(End Flashback)
It hadn't exactly been mutual- Roxas was under the impression that you had to respond to such shows of affection- or maybe it was just lust- for it to be consensual. He wasn't certain. In any case, things had gone back to normal. Roxas had believed that Axel wouldn't return; after all, he had won the game.
He was wrong.
Axel came back. Several times, actually.
The first few times, he played hide and seek- and, again, with no hiding places left, Roxas went to the Usual Spot and sat on the couch, bracing himself for what he knew was coming. Axel found him easier those times- he probably knew Roxas was out of ideas. It started out the same as the first time. Axel would either pin Roxas to the couch or pull him onto his lap.
The first few times, Roxas did what he had done the first time he lost- sat there and didn't respond. Let Axel use him as a puppet. Then, around the fifth- or was it the sixth?- time, Axel changed his pattern. Along with the usual kissing and occasional biting, he began to grind his hips against Roxas' a little. Roxas, who was so used to the routine by now, jerked in surprise. And, of course, his hips had no where to go but right into Axel.
"Did you like that?" Axel asked, a hint of seduction in his voice. Roxas swallowed. This was- actually- the first time he wanted to respond. The action was stirring the reaction that most humans had to being ground into. To his own shock, he wanted to flip Axel over and get rough. Yeah… Teenage hormones. Go figure. Axel must have figured this all out, because he did it again.
Now, Roxas had to bite his lip and restrain himself. No. No. He barely knew Axel. Hell, he knew pretty much nothing about Axel, and now he felt like making out with him? And what happened to Roxas being straight? And what would happen if, by some chance, time started again, and Hayner, Olette and Pence came walking in? They'd drop dead from shock, that's what!
All those thoughts went to Hell when Axel jerked against him a few more times.
The next hour was something of a blur. Roxas vaguely recalled throwing his arms around the older boy's neck and kissing him hard. Somewhere along the line, Roxas lost his shirt. They didn't go all the way, again, but they came pretty damn close this time. Axel seemed thrilled that Roxas was going along with this, because he suddenly got a lot rougher.
Eventually, though, Axel had to leave. He never told Roxas where he went or why, simply saying that he had work to do. Roxas was content- he knew Axel would be back.
And when he did, Roxas was totally content with losing.
