For those who have read my 'Sand And Flower' story I have decided to put a small story of my own on how they met before…sorta..then it gets on to what would be the second part of Sand And Flower…
Flowers In The Sand
"Over here! Pass!" the children called as they kicked the ball and raced after it. Gaara looked over to them and watched them. He watched as all the other children played with each other and asking over children to play with them. No one asked him though. Gaara sighed, a bit of pain hit him in his heart, the loneliness. " Hey! Want to play?" they called what seemed to be in his direction. Gaara brightened, "Un!" he then got up but stopped short when they replied, "Not you! Her!" Gaara looked over to see a girl with short black hair, some strands longer than the other, a loose faded blue shirt and large shorts. "Hey, want to play?" the invited. She looked over at Gaara and how lonely he was, then she looked at the other children. "No thank you." She replied and the other children went back to playing. She sat down on the sand watching the red haired boy on the swing, holding a bear and looking blankly in the sand. " Oh no!" they both looked over, the ball they had kicked had gone up and settled itself on a ledge. "How are we going to get it?" one of them asked, "We learn the wall climbing jutsu tomorrow, too." She watched the red haired boy stand up then she saw something that made her turn into the children's direction, a swirl of sand had picked up the ball and landed in the hands of the boy. "Sabaku No Gaara!" they cried as they ran off. "Wait!" Gaara called, 'Please!' he then thought, 'Don't leave me alone! I don't want to be alone anymore!' Unintentionally the sand then rose and landed on the children, injuring them. "Gaara sama! Please calm down!" Gaara looked up, 'Yashamaru…' he thought, then he stopped, dropped the ball and walked home.
"Hey wait!" a voice called over as Gaara was walking home. He turned and nervously asked, "Yes?" It was the girl he had seen near the academy. "I saw what you did over there," she began, "that was a really neat thing you did. You're Yondaime Kazekage's son right? They call you Sabaku no Gaara, right?" Gaara nodded meekly, "If you saw what happened then you saw that other thing that happened." He said lowly. She then shook her head, "I'm sure it was an accident, you didn't really mean to hurt them." She then smiled. "My name is Hanari Kami." Kami then brought out her hand, "Nice to meet you, Gaara." Gaara looked at it then took it. Her hand felt a warmth that he had never felt before, a happy feeling that filled him inside. He had to tell Yashamaru.
"So, Yashamaru…" Gaara then said after explaining what had happened, "What was that feeling?" Yashamaru smiled, "That, Gaara sama, was called 'Love'." Gaara looked up "Love?" he asked, "What is that?" Yashamaru smiled. "It's a special feeling you receive when someone gives it to you." Gaara then looked out through the window into the night sky. 'Love,' he thought, 'so does that mean…she loves me?'
It had been many years later, Gaara was now Godaime Kazekage. Him and Kami had met again when she had been treating his wounds and he was now finished remembering the old memory. Gaara had now remembered that they had indeed met many years before, 'She was the first to give me love,' he remembered. He was also the first to return love to her in that special way just once. The feeling filled him with a desire now. Gaara wanted to be with Kami now, he knew that she loved him and that he loved her. Would she agree to his decision?
"Gaara Sama!" she called through the closed door, "I have your medicine for today and some other special things." Gaara looked at the door and a small smile formed on his lips, "Come in Kami san," and she came in. Kami came in with her pouch to her side and some flowers, a small bouquet. Gaara looked at them, "What's this?" he asked. Kami smiled, " It's a gift, thank you for continuing to be my close friend since we were small." 'So she has remembered all these years.' Gaara thought. "Here, I learned it from a friend. Each flower has a meaning Gaara sama." She smiled. "What does this mean?" he asked pointing to the to the red curved petal flower. "Those are roses, they mean 'eternal love.' The little whit flowers are called babies breath, they mean 'some things start out small'. Lilies, 'beginning love' and daises are 'new beginnings' since they come out in the spring for new beginnings." Kami smiled as she handed the small bouquet to Gaara, "I'm glad we met when we were small. Now you don't have to be alone anymore."
Gaara looked at them, he felt a pain hit his heart, an emotional pain. He knew Kami had grown up alone. Of course he did too but he had a family, he had Kankurou and Temari and perhaps his father. But Kami…he remembered that her family left to live in Konoha and confirmed that they weren't going to ever return to Suna. He wondered how Kami lived and put up with all the loneliness in her life. The sounds of silence always in her home, the thoughts and wishes of having someone waiting for her to come home from the Suna Ninja Academy when you are still small. Gaara wondered how she made it through all her life, living in that lonely home with no one. "Kami…" he said softly and she looked at him, "Yes, Gaara sama?" He looked up at her, "I don't think you should say that." Kami looked at him quizzically, "Why not, Gaara sama?" Gaara inhaled deeply then exhaled slowly, " You were much more lonely than I was, you lived in total loneliness than I have, you have never felt unlike I have, Kami," he looked deeply into her eyes and could see stilled tears in them. "Kami…you were much more alone than I was. I'm sorry, Kami."
Kami then turned away, thoughts were now racing in her mind at rapid speed. She clutched her heart, 'Gaara sama,' she thought, 'you have seen through me…' she quickly left her thoughts when she felt warm arms wrap around her.
"When we were children, Kami," Gaara began, "you saw me sitting alone, the other children invited you to play with them. You refused since you saw me sitting alone. After I had hurt the others you still came after me…you befriended me….Kami," he went closer to her ear, " You were the first person to give me the love I have never knew before." Kami felt hot tears stream from her eyes, Gaara had remembered through all those years and kept them inside. She turned, "Gaara sama," Kami said slowly, "when we made love on that night you were still the little boy I knew on the swings. What we did on that evening…you set me free." She hugged him and he held her. "Thank you," Kami said.
Gaara left for home that evening, bouquet in hand. He had asked earlier if Kami would like to go with him but she had declined and said that she still had some work to do and that she would appear later. Gaara had reached his home and opened the door. Kankurou was on the couch sipping some tea and watching 'Kugutsu' station on television. He had never missed a show were some young beginner ninjas would show how to improve their puppets and what they concealed in them.
"Kankurou," Gaara greeted, "I am home." Kankurou shut off the television, grabbed his tea then greeted his brother. Kankurou then noticed the flowers, "Where did you get those?" he asked. Gaara looked at them, "Oh…" he began, " Kami san gave them to me." Kankurou then followed his brother into the living room as he put them in water, "What did she say?" he wanted to know all of what happened. "It was a 'thank you' gift, for allowing her to treat me." Kankurou then snorted, "That should be for Temari, she was the one who hired the Hanari girl. Tell Kami to get something for Temari, too." Gaara shook his head, "That's not all…" Kankurou then looked at Gaara, "What else then?" "It was also a 'thank you' for being her childhood friend when we were small…I met her back then."
Kankurou looked at his brother, Gaara had become a little different since he met Kami. He became much, much more patient, calm and softer of anything. " I heard of her clan as well," Kankurou said breaking the silence, " and of her family history. As soon as she was born the raised her till she was three and her mother taught her all she new from the Legendary Tsunade. Then they took her to the Suna Gakure hospital and left her there as they departed to live in Konoha. Kami lived in the hospital till she entered the academy school and they found a place for her own and left her all on her own." Kankurou could see Gaara's grip on the flowers tighten. "Father did try repeatedly to call her family back, they said they would come but they didn't. Father then gave up and they told him not to ever call them back again." "What about her grandparents?" Gaara asked immediately right after Kankurou finished. "Well," Kankurou began noticing the rising anger in Gaara's voice, " they didn't want to raise Kami so they refused. They believed she was a capable girl of taking care of herself."
Gaara stared deeply into the flowers, rage and anger was building inside him. 'How could they do that to her?' his thoughts demanded, 'How can you abandon one of your own, leaving her alone while you go on with your life? How can you be called human when you do something like that?' Gaara looked into his life, he had Temari and Kankurou, even though back then when he was all misinformed with all about his life, they still loved him like a sibling. But Kami…
"Gaara! Where are you going?" Kankurou asked as he saw Gaara put down the flowers and head to the door, "I'm going out right now, Kankurou. Tell Temari I will be back home later." Then he left. Kankurou then realized that Gaara had now become much more than concerned for Kami, "Gaara…is in love."
Kami sat by her window which was open. She enjoyed the evening breezes as she played her lyre. It made a beautiful sound when she played it in the evening while the moon was out. "Kami!" Kami stopped and she looked down her window, she saw that it was Gaara. "Gaara sama!" she exclaimed. "Kami," Gaara called up, "I want to talk with you, will you let me in?" A smile formed on her lips, and she nodded.
"Gaara sama, what were you doing?" she asked as she let him in. Gaara sat on one of the strong comfortable chairs, "I heard about your family," he said, "I'm sorry to hear what had happened." Kami smiled as she handed him some tea, "It's alright, Gaara sama." "No, it's not." She looked at him. Gaara stared into the steam and greenish brown colored hot liquid, "What they did…is unacceptable. They shouldn't have left you, abandoned you like that." He put down the tea on a small table. "Kami," he said moving next to her, "I want to be with you." Gaara looked deep into her bright eyes, " Will you marry me?" Kami felt she would choke on her tea, but she swallowed and exclaimed, "Gaara sama! This is all to sudden, and we're still both young." "Kami I cannot wait anymore, I want to be with you, and I want you to be with me. So will you please marry me?" Gaara clasped onto her right hand, her left was holding her tea. Kami then smiled and looked at Gaara, "Hai…" she replied.
"You want to do what?" Temari exclaimed when they had arrived into the Sand Sibling home. "I have asked Kami san to marry me and she has agreed." Gaara replied calmly. "But, Gaara," Kankurou spoke up, "you both are still too young. Wait another four years, then you can get married." Gaara looked at both his siblings, " I don't want Kami to be alone anymore. I want her to feel loved and not alone." Temari and Kankurou then understood, 'It was because of Uzumaki Naruto that Gaara opened his eyes and did not feel so alone anymore.' They both thought. Then they nodded. "Gaara," Temari began, "We'll let you get married." Kankurou finished. Gaara then smiled and looked at Kami. "Thank you." She said to his siblings.
The next day, Gaara exclaimed to the whole village that he was going to be married. All the Shinobi's, jounnin, gennin, rounnin and non ninja's began talking immediately all at once. Gaara then announced that the ceremony would be held this weekend and that preparations were already being made.
As Kami walked into the Kazekage building she could hear whispers of Gaara's matrimony that was to be taken. Some of the other elders gossiped away and would not change the subject, Gaara's groupie girls were talking about it as well. Gaara had not mentioned who it would be. "Gaara sama must have found the perfect kunoichi for him," she had heard an elder say, "I bet you it's one of our best shinobi kunoichi, the topped ranked one, Ayame." Kami heard another say. She giggled and moved on to find Gaara.
"They do not know who it is," she said to him when she found him. Gaara nodded, "They will. After all, it won't be long now."
The day had finally come and everyone from the whole village appeared. After all, if Kazekage was to be married of course everyone would have to be there, it was like appointing the new Kazekage. Gaara was dressed in ceremonial clothes that were quite large and long. Everyone was waiting and eager to know, just who it was that Gaara was to be married to. Baki, Gaara's former sensei, then exclaimed that the ceremony was to begin, Kami then heard the loud drums and horns blow and came through the large doors of the ceremonial room. Everyone was surprised to see that it was the meek and shy Hanari Kami that Gaara was marrying. The elders were all quite surprised. Some of them weren't, but all of Gaara's groupie girls were.
Kami wore a blue and white silken kimono with pink cherry blossom printings and large white cranes. The kimono she wore was large and trailed behind her as she walked. Gaara felt excitement rise in his heart. When she had come up next to Gaara, both took their hands and exchanged vows. They both promised to love each other and declare that they would never make each others lives unhappy.
When the ceremony had finished, the villagers and ninjas came to say their congratulations and fortunes then left. It was beginning to get dark and Gaara decided that he would be at Kami's house for the night. Temari and Kankurou nodded then headed for home. Gaara then looked at Kami, took her hand then they both went home together.
That night, it was different. Gaara and Kami rented out a room at the Suna Gakure 'Diamond Dust' hotel. The landlord let them stay for free since it was their wedding, he handed them their key and they went to their expecting room. He opened the door, the room was indeed quite big and it was warming. After they had gone inside, Gaara locked the door, closed it then headed for the bedroom. There, Kami sat and waited for him. She was shy, and a blush rose to her face. "Gaara sama," she whispered. Gaara sat next to her, both were starting to feel sheepish now. "Gaara sama, we don't have to do this…" she began, but Gaara silenced her by giving her a passionate kiss. The it became harder and he slipped his tongue in with hers. They played at first, then Gaara slowly began removing her kimono, his was already off. For now she was like a doll for him to play with. Her hands trailed down, and she felt his member getting quite hard and big. She then began to rub on it.
"Gaara sama.." Kami whispered. Gaara then had finally removed all of her clothes and began kneading her breasts. Kami moaned as he began to suck on her nipples making then hard while kneading her other breast. Gaara felt himself getting harder, he wanted to get in her now. With his other hand, he pumped his fingers into her, in and out, in and out. Kami felt herself grow wet fast then she began to cum. Gaara stopped then traveled down and licked her inner thighs, then began in the middle. It was warm and she tasted sweet, "You're beautiful…" Gaara then said.
Kami could feel his tongue going in and out of her, she felt herself growing much more wet to Gaara's pleasure. Gaara then stopped and she pushed him down. "Kami…what are you…?" "Gaara sama…" she silenced as she took his member and placed it in her mouth. Gaara then began to moan at all the wonderful things she was doing to him. He couldn't take it anymore, he stopped her, pushed her down and thrusted his member into her. Rocking at a steady pace, both felt each other get tight and wet. "Gaara sama…" he moved faster and faster, harder and harder. Kami then cried out with pleasure as she felt his juices enter her. Gaara then pulled out and laid next to her. Sweat was rising from both of their bodies. Kami then went next to him and began sucking on his fingers. Gaara smiled then stroked her hair. It was really late, the moon was beautiful. Kami fell to sleep right away. Gaara pulled some blankets over them then fell to sleep as well with his new bride.
During the night while everyone slept, something strange happened. For the first time in Suna Gakure, flowers were beginning to bloom from the sand.
Really crappy, I know. But hey, tune in for my next story C'ya!
