DNAngel: The Heat of the Night
(oneshot)
A/N: I was bored one day during school so I wrote this out at different intervals during the class. I hope ya'll like it even though they may seem OOC. BUT IT WAS FOR THE SAKE OF CUTE-NESS! And I wrote it weird…I don't know. Like I said I was bored. Really bored.
Please forgive me…
Disclaimer: If DNAngel were mine, Satoshi and Risa would be sooooo CANON! XD It's not even funny….There'd also be more kissing scenes then just the one between Risa and Dark and Riku and Daisuke. And yeah. I don't…

"It's so hot!" Riku whined to her younger sister. Risa couldn't hear however, due to the fact that the older Harada twin was currently sitting on top of her.
"I hate summer!" Riku cried for the hundredth time that night. Risa managed to sit up from her spot under her sister.
"Well I'm dying under here!" Risa shouted to get her sisters' attention.
"Oh! Sorry." Risa squeezed herself out from under Riku and took deep breathes, "Humph, you make it sound as if I'm fat."
"No but you sure are heavy!"
"Whatever. Any ideas on how to cool down?" Riku fiddled with the blanket and Risa laid her head down on the nightstand.
"Why ask me? You're the smart twin!" Riku sighed and lay back on Risa's bed.
Risa thought about it anyway as she stared through the glass of water on the nightstand. Suddenly Risa's brain clicked with an idea, shot up off the bed an lunged for the phone, dialing a number kept at the back recesses of her mind.
"Hello?" A voice said groggily, and very irritated.
"Sorry to call so late, but can I ask you a question?"
"I guess," the voice replied.
Do you have a pool?"
"A pool?" Satoshi inquired to double check that he had heard correctly, though he knew he did.
"It's really hot, and I'm dying over here! Please tell me if you have a swimming pool!"
"Uh, yes I have a swimming pool at my apartment. Why does it matter?"
The voice on the other end paused. Satoshi's grip on the phone tightened, the suspense stabbing him like a knife.
"Can I come over?"
Risa mentally slapped herself repeatedly for asking that of him. Why in the world did I even think of Hiwatari in the first place? Riku looked upon her sister who, at the moment, looked as helpless as a kitten in a storm.
"Who? Who is it Risa?" Risa waved away the question with her hand. Riku harrumphed, "Well then."
"I suppose you could for a while, if you're this desperate." Risa glared at the phone.
"I'm not desperate! I'm just really hot!" she growled. The voice on the other line chuckled at her comment and Risa froze, "What?"
"Nothing."
"No, really what?"
"Your comment doesn't help your cause." He chortled. She glared at the phone again.
"I'll be over shortly," she told him and hung up.
Man, Satoshi is creepy in the morning.
Satoshi heard the phone line go dead, and he dropped the phone to the floor. Despite the hour, he was fully awake and fully aware of what he just did.
"Why did I say yes?" he asked himself. Moreover, why did she call him?
Satoshi mused over the idea of trying to go back to sleep, but gave up on it and went to his closet, pulled out a black t-shirt over his naked upper self. Then he went into his bathroom, threw some water on his face to wake him self up a bit more, then brushed his hair.
Wait…Was he fusing over his looks? It was just Risa. Just a girl from his school with full brown locks and beautiful brown doe eyes with curves most girls envy. Maybe that was it.
It was just Risa.
Risa trudged down the sidewalk towards Satoshi's apartment complex. It felt a little better outside, but just barely. It'd feel bearable once she got into that pool! She clutched her bag tighter. It was rather awkward that it was just her and Satoshi. Sure, he was the most handsome guy in her school, and she might consider dating him if he didn't wear those glasses and loosened up.
She didn't date stuck up guys with glasses.
Riku had fallen asleep finally while Risa had been getting more ice water for her. It had made it a lot easier to sneak out without the twin's "twenty questions." She'd probably sleep through the whole night.
Risa had been to Satoshi's once or twice with Daisuke and Riku, but she couldn't remember which one was his. Sighing when she saw his building, she arched her backing a stretch and leaned unladylike against the wall.
It was too hot for proper etiquette.
Satoshi stepped out onto the landing to see Risa looking around before sighing and leaning against a nearby wall.
"Harada-chan!" he whispered loud enough to catch her attention. She waved at him and signaled with her hand for him to join her. He walked down the stairs and met up with her halfway to the pool.
"Good night!" she told him playfully. He snickered a little and told her with his hands for her to follow him. He led her down to the area where the swimming pool was located.
"Here you are," he turned to leave but she caught his arm and turned him back to face her.
"Would you join me?"
After all, it was rather creepy outside. She didn't want to be left alone to be an easy target for rapists. Maybe that's why she asked him to stay and swim with her. Or maybe it was because Satoshi was laughing, and not wearing his glasses and he looked…good…and human… That had surprised her, but what surprised her more was that he said yes.
So that's why Risa was now swimming in a swimming pool that belonged to the apartment complex of one Hiwatari Satoshi.
I guess he's easier to get along with when he's half-asleep, she joked to herself. She sighed happily and floated on her back. Satoshi waded in and sat close to the edge of the pool and just observed her swimming.
He had gone up and changed, and while he had done so, Risa had striped herself of her clothes, having worn her bathing suit underneath them. She wore a pale blue two-piece that was close to the color of Satoshi's hair and had a shimmer to it. Satoshi wore plain black swimming trunks that he never used.
"Thanks." She said to him. He mumbled something that she couldn't understand, so she sat up and swam over, "Come again?"
"Your welcome." He said. She stared at him with a smile on her face, "What!"
"Swim with me?" she asked him sweetly.
"I am." She pouted.
"No. You're sitting there being lazy. Swim with me."
"Why?"
"Why not?" she asked back extending her hand for him to take. When he had done so, she ripped him from the wall and swam towards the center of the pool. She let go and swam a ways then called to him, "Bet you can't catch me!"
He took her offer and swan towards her. Fast. She squealed in shock before ripping down the length of the pool. The repeated this process for sometime until Satoshi skillfully caught up to her and dunked her.
After she resurfaced and sputtered out curses at the wet blue haired teen, she asked him, "What was that for?"
"What do I win?" he asked instead of answering.
"Huh?"
"You betted that I couldn't catch you." He answered, "So what do I win?" She swam up to him and placed a light kiss square on his lips.
"That." She said breathily to him. Risa swam backwards, heaved herself up, and sat on the edge of the pool.
So much for cooling down.
Satoshi swam over to her and pulled himself to sit beside her. He could tell he was blushing, but didn't care. She laid her head against his shoulder and his face got hotter. She sighed and played with the water using her feet.
"Thanks again Hiwatari-kun."
"Satoshi."
"What?" she asked and looked up at his face.
"You can call me Satoshi if you want." She smiled.
"Then you can call me Risa!"
Satoshi blushed even more and nodded, "Alright," Risa smiled at him once again.
"You know what?"
"Hm?"
"I'm glad I was hot and couldn't sleep." Risa placed her head her head back onto his shoulder and watched the moon as it sunk below the horizon and the sun rose above it.
"You better head home." He said as he stood and helped her up. She shook her head and grinned.
"Riku won't be up for another hour."
"What are you proposing?" eh inquired. Instead of answering, she grabbed his hand and ran towards his apartment.
"Whatever you want." She said when they reached the door.
"How about this then," he said kissing her even though he was still blushing.
When they parted she giggled, "That'll do."
"What if you don't get back in time?" she kissed him as he opened the door and pulled her in with him.
"Later."
Riku woke up sweating. It was too hot to sleep with her blankets on, but too cold to sleep with them on. Strange, right? Scratching her head, she groaned, and called for Risa. No answer came to her. Riku flopped back onto the bed and looked at the clock. 5:47 in the morning.
"I do believe I've been ditched."
Risa crept in as quietly as she could, closing the door carefully behind her so it wouldn't creak. Creeping up the stairs, she froze when she heard and audible groan from the stairs.
"Oh shit."
"Risa?" Riku hissed down the hall.
Here comes a long morning.
Satoshi flopped on his couch and sighed. Risa had left a good while ago. He replayed the events of that night and morning again in his head.
Maybe living life wasn't so hard.
"Where have you been?" Riku screeched at her twin after pulling her inside Risa's room.
"With Satoshi-kun." Risa replied sheepishly.
"Well-wait, what?"
"I went to Satoshi's to swim."
"And you left-wait, WHAT?"
"What now?" Risa whined. She wanted to get a few hours of sleep before she had to get herself ready for the plans later that day that she had made with Satoshi before she left.
"Satoshi-kun?" Riku prodded. Risa nodded followed by her eyes widening and shaking her head when Riku grinned.
"It's not like that!"
"Satoshi-kun, eh?"
"Wha-what of it?" Risa tried lamely to defend herself from her sister's evil thoughts. Riku turned on her heels so that Risa couldn't see her smile growing wider, but Risa knew it was anyway.
"Oh, nothing." She said lazily. Risa shrugged and sat on her bed.
"If you say so," she said as she tore her t-shirt off to reveal the bathing suit that she was still wearing. And dreaming of Satoshi, she fell asleep.
Thankful for the heat of the night.
—End—
A/N: Like I said, forgive me for I was bored. Out of my mind. Which is pretty damn hard to do…Seeing as I barely have a mind…XD okay enough making fun of myself…I hope you liked it anyway, even if there was so much OOC-ness. I thought it was still cute. :3
