Satsuki samurai swordsmistress(aka Satsuki ss): heya guys! Ah'm is BACK! So so-GACK!

Hokuto:hits Satsuki on headgrumpily did you have any idea how long we've been waiting for you to put up your second chapter? Ages I tell you! We've been waiting for AGES! You hearing me here Satsuki? carries on ranting like this for a while

Subaru: Hokuto-chan, why don't you let Satsuki-chan finish her sentence before you interrupted her?

Hokuto: ah! Gomennasai Satsuki-chan! Please continue!

Satsuki ss: gives Subaru a grateful look thank ye Subaru-kun. ehem as ah was saying, gomennasai to those people who were impatiently waiting for this update! bows consistently

Hokuto: gives sidelong glance tah Satsuki

Satsuki: notices O.O nani Hokuto-chan?

Hokuto: demandingly weren't you going to say thank u to some people?

Satsuki: ahem ah was jis about tah say that!

Hokuto: sniggers yeah right…!

Satsuki: thank ye for reviewing mah fanfic fer Tokyo Babylon lyza-lyza and autumnleaf16! This next chappies fer ye guys!

Subaru: so sidles up to Satsuki-grins slyly how about it?

Satsuki ss: freaks out eeeeeeeeppppp! S-s-sorry Subaru! Ah've remembered that ah'd go talk to Seishiro about skills or…Something!

Hokuto: has an amused look on face my my my…who knew that that girl could run! turns to look at Subaru she seems to do that to you nearly every single time onii-chan!

Subaru: mhmmm…so I've noticed…

Hokuto: cuts in righty-ho! Let's read on to see what's in store for our fellow chara's in this chappie shall we? I can't wait to find out what's been happening! And of course, when I'm going to come out!

Hokuto notices that Subaru is drifting in the direction that Satsuki went and follows

Hokuto: hey! Wait for me! fading out you never did tell me what you were doing in the last chappie…

Yuri stays behind, opens book and starts reading

Chapter2: Mind over matter

Yayoi let out a long but quiet sigh. At least, she had thought it was a quiet sigh until Seishiro asked in a silky voice, "What's the matter Yayoi? You killed beautifully today."

"Thank you Seishiro-san. That comment, coming from you means a lot to me." Yayoi replied with a mental grin that also carried over with it sincerity.

"Well you are my familiar, I just thought that for you to do your job of killing a 'client' well, even exceptionally well, I have to praise you." Seishiro said in a matter of fact tone.

There was a long pause, which Seishiro was oblivious to, before a quiet "oh" was heard and a loud explosion punctuated the air in the background.

Seishiro turned slightly and conjured up what looked like a grin while Yayoi's head snapped up so fast that she flew a couple of feet in the air next to Seishiro's left ear.

It seems, Seishiro thought to himself, that Subaru has, once again, been far too nice for his own good…

Yayoi thought to herself, 'what the…? I hope she's alright…'

'Careful now Subaru-kun, carefully now…' Fumie "whispered to him as she nervously fluttered around being a general nuisance while keeping a wary eye on the now-angry spirit.

Gritting his teeth as he concentrated on asking the spirit questions as gently as possible, Subaru replied "I. Know"

The spirit was starting to get rather restless with being entrapped in the human world and literally being told to stay by this measly male human being with his rather annoying…bird or, whatever it was that was hanging around nervously keeping a rather disgusting eye on her. And then there was that cowering human female standing under the bridge of the doorway clutching onto it for dear life, ohh! How she would love to get her hands on that vile woman and…and…and strangle her in her sleep! But alas! That particular day would never come for that vile woman for she had been saved, albeit at a very late stage, by this rather disgustingly stupid mortal male who was now trying to get her to forgive the idiotic female so that both could rest in piece.

Fumie, without any warning, sent out calming waves towards Subaru for she knew what sort of strain he was going through. He only really relaxes when he's around his sister, Hokuto-chan, our friend Sei-chan, Sei-chans' familiar Yayoi or me, Fumie thought with a touch of sadness.

Subaru dropped his guard as the calming waves took effect and in thso efew minted during which he adjusted to the effect, the spirit managed to cause even more havoc then thought possible.

I'm free! I'm finally free from that idiotic male! She, the spirit, thought.

'SUBARUU!' Fumie mind-screamed as a huge rush of wind attacked him. It's the spirit! She thought frantically, the spirit is angry…but…why?

From her vantage point of view, she could easily see Subaru's hair and coat whipping about and around. She could also see that he was losing ground. Dangerously so.

Slowly, Fumie calmed herself down and grounded herself, her eyes glazing over as she concentrated on touching and getting in tune with the spirits feelings. As she did so, she gasped in shock of how the spirit was feeling.

Subaru felt the slight change in his familiar even as he tried to fight the strong spirit. Without warning, he felt protective. No. Over-protective of his familiar.

His mind voice jarred her concentration as she realized that she had gone in too deep with the spirit and had become one with it. He saved me, she thought in a daze as her mind and vision cleared, but…why? Because ah'm his familiar? Maybe...no...not possible...he is after all, in love with Sei-chan...It has tah be because ah'm his familiar!

Fumie's confidence shook before she managed to regain it along with the intention of helping Subaru. With absolute determination, she squared her shoulders and flapped her powerful wings once to gain some sort of height, stretched her neck forward and shot toward Subaru.

That is, until a black-grey colored eagle, sporting white speckled spots appeared, without warning, in front of her. So sudden was the eagles' appearance that Fumie nearly collided with her. As luck would have it, she had had a moments notice and managed to swerve off course just in time to gain height.

'Ya...yoi...?' Fumie mind thought as Yayoi glared at her.

"Hello," Yayoi coldly paused before saying, "Fumizuki."

'W-why…?' Fumie haltingly mind spoke.

"Seishiro-san sent me to help him." Yayoi hissed at Fumie, in a ice-cold voice that was filled with contempt as she tossed her head in annoyance towards Subaru.

Fumie flinched and ruffled her feathers in annoyance at such hate aimed and headed towards Subaru, but she cast her eyes down and mind murmured 'sorry ah asked' and bobbed her head in respect.

And as Yayoi turned and shot towards Subaru, Fumie faintly, so very faintly that she thought she imagined it, heard Yayoi tearfully think, Why! I love him…so why? Why does he have to love him! He's nothing compared to me! So…why…?

Fumie blinked in surprise. She loves someone? She thought in absolute shock.

She's changed so much… she used tah be the loveably, friendly sister… her "master" has changed her. Changed her completely beyond recognition. Although, ah do feel that there is hope yet for her… ah feel that her old self hasna died completely. Not just yet.

AH WANT MAH OLD SISTER BACK! Fumie thought as she passed out completely.

Somewhere, Hokuto felt a shiver go down her spine.

"Something's not right…someone or something is in trouble…" she muttered as she stopped what she was doing and looked up into the velvet night sky.

"Perhaps…NO! Not her! She couldn't possibly…! Oh…no…" She whispered as the bright shining stars foretold her that there was to be trouble in the future.

Satsuki SS: Phew! Wow! That took a long time tah write up (and post)! But boy! It sure is fun writing it!

Hokuto: when do you have time to write these stories Satsuki-chan? Because I'm pretty sure that, like Subaru-kun when he was 16, you're pretty busy with school work and stuff!

Subaru: looks on in interest yes. Do please tell us Satsuki-chan!

Satsuki: looks down and blushes well…um…ah aktuali write it in class time…when ah'm bored…or when ah jis suddenly get all these ideas ambushing me via mah muses…

Hokuto: looks very confused muses? What are 'muses'?

Subaru: muses are from a greek myth and they are one of nine goddesses, each of whom inspired an art or science.

Satsuki: looks impressed wow Subaru-kun! Ye certainly sure know a lot more than ye let on!

Subaru: looks sheepish aktuali, I just got all that from the dictionary! points to dictionary lying on the floor

Satsuki does a face fall and recovers while Hokuto, Seishiro and Yuri do a sweat drop

All: yell SUBARU!

Subaru: shrugs whilst still looking sheepish sorry! But in this case, Hokuto-chan, muses are things, people or forces that inspire the creative artist or person. In this case, Satsuki's muses are in groups: the Creative writing group (consisting of 7 ppl-Alice, Zara, Sai, Sarah, Jenny S., Alla D., and Hannah), the Director of Film/movies group (consisting of 3 ppl-Hayao Miyazaki, Andrew Adamson and Peter Jackson), the Writers or Authoresses including manga (consisting of 3 ppl- CLAMP, Meg Cabot, and Sophie Kinsella). Isn't that right Satsuki-chan?

Satsuki: watches with open mouth-realises and closes it how-how'd ye know about mah muses, what category they were all in and who they were! Are ye stalking me or something!

Subaru: smiles pleasantly as a matter of fact, yes.

Satsuki: shrieks WHAT!

Yuri(aka Autumnleaf): nudges Hokuto c'mon Hokuto-chan…I think we'd better go…

Hokuto: watches on with keen interest but Yu-chan! This is getting really interesting!

Yuri: stressmark/vein shows up on Yuri's head how can you say that! watches Satsuki and Subaru warily seriously tho' Hokuto-chan, you really do not want to be here when she uses her powers…

Hokuto: watches with an even greater interest than before Satsuki-chan has powers? I wonder what kind of powers…?

Seishiro: pops out of nowhere scaring the living daylights out of poor Yuri cheerfully until next time then peoples! Bai-bai! watches along with Hokuto-chan fading out so, Hokuto-chan, what's been happening here…?

Yuri: alright! Alright! I give in! Surrender! Yield! Happy now you two? mutters we are so gona die…sigh why me? Well…I know Satsuki would kill me if I didn't say this so I'll say it just for the sake of saying it (and hopefully not die)… Review suruno wasurenaidenee! (don't forget tah Review!)
