Sorry it's taken me a year to post this up, well what can I say writers block hit me hard and I wasn't inspired to update for some time, but then bam it hit me. Also right now I'm my dad's pc so sorry if there any mistakes in the notes, as he doesn't the dictionary that I have the amount of time I've had to hit ignore with names like Yami, Yugi ect…

It was almost midnight, everyone was meant to be asleep, it was one of the rules of the campus, 'lights out at 11:30', yet the elite room's light was on, but the door was closed but light could be seen radiating from it, that meant that the 2 elite duellist were still up and about, yet no one dared to tell them to anyone, they where elite which allowed them to bend the rules a little.

Inside the room was Sora and Atem who would normally be found there, Atem was sitting on the table while Sora was leaning against the wall, an almost empty bottle of eye dye could be seen next to Atem, who had his head in his hands.

"I'm an idiot, aren't I?" He said glancing up at Sora who had started to check her nails, expecting her to comment with her usual thing of agreeing with what the person had said, only this time she said something, Atem sighed before asking,

"How long…"

"…have you been like that?" Sora finished.

"Yeah"

"About 4 years or so."

"That long? Wow"

"Ok Yugi, cut the crap, listen, you can't wallow in self pity, just because he kissed you or you kissed him, or whatever, just listen, I have one thing I need to ask you…what was going though your head when it happened?"

Atem was taken back by what Sora had said, the thing is he didn't know what was going though his head when it happened, it just felt right, after a while Sora spoke again.

"Ok, better question…" she said her voice somewhat softer than the harsh tone she once had.

"What was your plan in the first place…?"

He knew that was coming and he knew how to answer this even though he had somewhat already answered that question, he sighed and closed his eyes before speaking,

"To be honest my plan went down the drain as soon as they came here…" he opened his eyes to come eye to eye with Sora's, the harsh look had now gone, he knew without her saying anything she wanted him to continue so that's what he did.

"…you see when you guys found me, I had planned to stay with you in hopes to make my new friends by myself without the help of a spirit, but then you know who got in this place and well I guess my 'new' self kinder wanted to go through with it…"

"You were planning on returning to them once we left this dump?"

Atem chuckled "Yeah"

"Don't worry" Sora said getting up "I have a plan."

"Why do I feel scared?"

"Oh don't worry Yugi, everything will be fine."

"I hope so Sora."

"Well with that sorted, we better go and get some sleep, I don't know about you, but I'm rather tired."

A Few Days Later

"So let me get this right, you kissed Atem, he ran off, you've tried to talk to him but can't find him anywhere?"

"Yes Joey for the fifth time today, that's what happened."

"Hmm…but I thought you…kinda liked Yugi." Joey whispered, even though Tea wasn't in the room he still felt that he should whisper.

"I do Joey, its just Atem sorta looked like Yugi…"

"Yea you're right, maybe dere the same person…"

Just then Atem and Sora walked in talking.

"Tell me why you're not duelling this year…"

"Because I have other things that I need to do and don't you go on about how this shall be our last duel here coz right now I don't care."

"I thought as much…"

Atem rolled his eyes and walked over to his bed pulling out his deck.

"Why are you going though? We all know it's unbeatable."

"It's something I do Sor"

Sora chuckled and went to lie down on Atem's bed.

"That's my bed you know, you have your own."

"Oh I know, it's just yours is more comfortable."

Atem rolled his eyes before placing his deck back where he had found it before joining Sora on his bed so that both were on their sides facing each other.

"So Adi, what are you planning to do once we get out of this dump?"

"Hmm…I think I might just head back and be reunited with my old friends."

"That's nice, as for me I'll just follow my bro around; someone has to keep him in line."

"So do you know who I'm duelling?"

Sora smiled and pulled out a piece of paper.

"Some bloke called Yami, oh and if I still wanted to duel, I'd be dueling Seto Kaiba,"

"Ooh some dragon and dragon action."

"Don't be all sick minded Adi…oh wait I shouldn't expect less from you."

It was sometime before anything else happened, then Sora smirked once, she spotted Yami and decided to have a bit of fun so she leaned in while Atem was talking about him being innocent, and kissed him quickly on the lips, before quickly dashing off.

"Hey Sor, why in the hell did you just do that, you should know by now I'm gay." And with that Atem chased Sora out of the Dorm shouting, leaving everyone slightly scared and confused.

The day came quickly, the day when the elite duellists would duel, yet this time only one of them would be duelling, not that it mattered this would be the elite duellists last duel here.

Atem stood ready to take on Yami, Sora stood next to him, and whispered.

"Give him hell, you may love him and all, take as much time as you can, me and the others will be putting my plan into motion okay?" And with that, she was gone, Atem sighed and walked out onto the duelling field, being met with cheers from all the students 'Soon this will be all over.' He though as he met with Yami ready to duel.

(Ok since I'm no good at duelling scenes and the duel between Yami and Atem…that sounds weird is exactly like Yami and Yugi's duel at the end of Yu-gi-oh,(ep. 221-4) same decks, same moves, same outcome.)

"Ok Sor we've looked everywhere we could think of, for this box of yours and we can't find it." Jou stated collapsing onto someone's bed.

"Hmm I know we still have it…somewhere, hang on, I know where it is." And with that Sora dashed out the room leaving her friends looking baffled.

Once Sora got to her room she slid towards her bed and dived under it hoping to come across the box only to find it wasn't there.

"What the? I knew it was here…"

"Looking for this Sora?"

Sora's head shot up only to find, Ash, her secret crush sitting on her bed with the box in his hand.

"Yes, now Ash, give it to me, I need to give it to Atem."

"Only if you answer one question." Ash replied smirking.

"Fine which is?"

"What are you feeling for Atem?"

"What are my feelings for Atem? He's just a friend Ash…oh, I get it now, don't you worry your little heart…" Sora stood so she was hovering over Ash, and slowly she leant down and kissed him on the lips, after a while she pulled back, grabbed the box and walked out, but as she reached the door she turned around,

"And besides, he's gay and in love with someone else." and with that she was gone.

"…Attack his life points directly."

And with that the whole crowd was in shock, Atem had just defeated the King of Games, Seto was already planning a way to duel him to get the title, Atem smiled at Yami, who smiled somewhat back.

"Good duel." Atem stated holding his hand out for Yami to shake.

"Yea, I can't believe you beat me." Yami replied shaking the said hand.

"Ahh well you know since…"

"YUGI…"

Oo a cliffly don't you just love them…and this is where your all gonna hurt me, the first 2 bits form 'It was almost midnight…' to '…who had his head in his hands.' I wrote in college and the rest well was kinder written in a day, also as well I'm meant to be on hiatus as I have very important exams…I had 2 of my maths yesterday…sp anyway until next time
