Auron and Shino

Coincidence? I think not.

We have decided to share with the world that Auron isn't ACTUALLY gone forever, he was simply reincarnated into the body of Shino. Don't believe us? Just look at them! They're practically exactly the same! I think it's time we broke it down for you, don't you think?

In my opinion, the first thing that jumps out at me when I'm looking at the uncanny resemblance between Auron and Shino is that enormous collar that covers the bottom half of their faces. Take a look to your left. You see it? For both of them, it goes up to about their noses. This makes them REALLY mysterious! Of course, they could just be trying to hide their faces from the world for one reason or another. Auron's reason being that he is actually dead and doesn't feel anyone needs to know that. Shino just might have the collar so that there's more room for his bugs to hang out in. It's difficult to tell with both of them. On rare occassions do we see either of their mouths or chins and usually only end up seeing them when they are engaged in mortal combat. And, not only do they both WEAR their collars like that but they wear them like that ALL THE TIME!! ALL THE TIME!! Besides Shino's mourning outfit, all his shirts probably have large collars! And Auron most likely hasn't taken that coat off since before he died.

Speaking of coats, let's take a look, shall we? Both coats have a long strip going down the front where the buttons belong. While Shino buttons up to the very top button, Auron lets his coat flow freely holding it together with only a belt in the middle. And, as awesome as it would be, Shino does not go around with his arm sticking out the front of his jacket like Auron does. Other than color and the previously explained reasons, the two jackets are essentially the same. Auron has a bright red coat while Shino sports a faded greenish thing. Like the collars, the coats are obviously meant to keep people OUT! Well... actually, in Shino's case, it's probably meant to keep the bugs IN... but that's besides the boat. In addition to trying to keep the bugs in, he's trying to keep people out. The jackets, along with the collars, serve as sort of a signature appearance for both of the characters in their respective game/ show. As for what's underneath their coats... well, we know that Auron wears a tight vesty thing (oo la la!) but as far as Shino goes, it's a mystery. Maybe it's ALSO a tight vesty thing, though for all we know, it's just another jacket. Shino's weird and psychotic enough to do something crazy like that just in case his first jacket got dirty or torn.

It's hard not to notice the sunglasses. Both Auron and Shino have ANOTHER signature that we failed to mention before and that is the black, circle sunglasses. Auron graces us with the luck of getting to see his eyes every once and a while, even with the horrible scar that runs across one of them. Shino, on the other hand, fails to ever take off his sunglasses. Ever. He most likely has some sort of weirdo thing going on with his eyes that he chooses not to share with the world. Both make the sunglasses look seem "cool", and it definately goes even further to add to their mysterious natures. They clearly don't want people to get to know them with their huge, face covering collars; the big, thick jackets; and now the sunglasses to hide their faces more. One big difference between the two and their sunglasses habbit though... Auron's seems to be a recent development that he only started to wear once he got angsty where as Shino has been wearing his sunglasses seemingly all his life. I bet he sleeps with them on and takes showers with them on and all that sort of stuff. Then again, he probably doesn't take showers. He doesn't seem like the waterproof type, what with all those bugs and all.

There are many crazy things going around about men and some of them are hard to belive. For example, people say that a man's foot is twice the length of his doinker. Believable? Maybe. Another thing that is frequently said is that the farther a man's legs are spread when they sit or stand is an accurate judge of the man's confidence. Well, Shino and Auron both like to have their legs spread when they stand as opposed to keeping them in a locked position. Without this piece of information, Auron and Shino might seem to be very NOT confident people. Because of what they wear (the coat, the sunglasses, the huge collars) one might actually think that they're self conscious and unsure of themselves. Oh how wrong they would be! It is easy to tell just by the way they stand that Shino and Auron are the opposite of self conscious and unsure. And, of course, once you see them in action and hear them talk, it's even EASIER to see that they are both confident men. How can we back up this stance example? Well, if you've ever seen Lee's fighter's stance, you'll notice that his legs are together completely. Even though Lee APPEARS to be confident, at times he's just a sad, scared little boy who wants to beat up Neji, Gaara and Sasuke but... HE CAN'T!! That's really gotta do something to his level of confidence, you know? Shino and Auron, on the other hand, are quite comfortable with themselves, because all they need is to know that they're better than everyone else. Unlike Lee, they don't feel like they have to PROVE it to the world. As for their doinkers? We can only hope that the foot rule doesn't apply. (YEESH!)

Finally, we have the hair. Well... actually, honestly... there really isn't that much similarity in the hair. The only thing that's even remotely the same is the fact that it's kind of spikey up top that can apply to every anime and Final Fantasy character in the entire world. We just felt we had to include this so it would seem like they were even MORE similar! Haha. Shino's hair doesn't really look like hair. We cropped too much of the bottom so it's all taken out of context. I think it looks kind of like a sea urchine. Or... urchin. Whatever. But seriously, the only real difference between Auron and Shino is their choice of weapon. While Auron chooses to hae a huge sword to lug around and swing at people, Shino sticks with his precious bugs. Both methods work for them and, no matter how similar the two APPEAR, just remember that they are not each other. They each are their own person!! Besides, if we really want to talk about people looking like Auron... you should see Shino's DAD!!

MY GOD!! Come on, that's a little...er...weird. But then again, Shino's weird so I guess that's okay. Besides, Shino and Auron are both the MAN!! Oh and one more difference: Auron is a samurai... but Shino's a NINJA!! I think this calls for a battle to the death to decide who deserves the look and also to determine whether samurai or ninjas are better. ...That will be for ANOTHER day.
