Yoh remembered the first time he ever tried to buy Anna a present. Rather than being happy at his thoughtfulness, she grew angry, throwing it back at him and sentenced him to double the amount of chores.

He came home, arms full of groceries he hastened to put away. After dinner, he presented Anna with the gift, expecting some kind of gratitude.

The blonde Itako threw him out of the house with 30 kg weights on each limb. As he slowly jogged away, Yoh wept silent tears of agony. Not only was he to run 50 km, do 200 push-ups but he knew he would be subjected to things akin to torture on his arrival back home.

Needless to say, Yoh never bought Anna hair ribbons ever again.
