Behind My Emerald Eyes

Behind my emerald eyes,

Behind my innocent, naive self,

Behind my jolly and cheerful personality,

Lies a true and tragic past.

Earth has changed me.

From a hopeless, utterly useless alien to a strong fighter.

I fight evil, for justice and peace.

To punish those who are wrong.

I was a prize to the Gordanians,

A slave to the master.

A way to save my home planet.

A way beyond words.

As a youth, I had the misfortune,

To witness my parents' death,

Along with my former home planet.

Surely it was a sight to see.

My family ripped from me through assassination,

My throne taken away from my enemy, my sister.

My freedom taken through being sold as a slave.

My life taken away from me.

This is why I hide my past,

It's too much for me to handle.

But its great to know,

There are friends ready to sacrifice for me.
