This story not belong to me, it's H. Acacia's... she asked me to put it under my account after she deleted it from hers not too long ago... I couldn't understand though... what's with you, girl? I personally think this is quite nice. Oh well... leave her a review please...

“Jaken-san can’t you hear?”

“Hear what Rin?” Jaken glared at Rin.

“Stream, there’s water stream over there…” Rin pointed out her hand. “Nee… Sesshomaru-sama, why don’t we rest here?”

The silver haired youkai didn’t reply anything to his companion. His face was stoic and cold as usual.

Rin frowned. It had been three days since the last time she took bath and sleep tight. Her hip sore for sitting at Ah’Un’s back all day. But still she never dared to object her lord’s, so she strained herself and continued.

Seconds later, Sesshoumaru halted. His action caused Jaken to bump into him.

“Is there something wrong Sesshomaru-sama?” Jaken inquired.

“We rest here for the night,” Sesshoumaru said.

--

It was in the middle of the night. Sesshoumaru sat there, starring at his companions. The green youkai slept with the ninjitou on his stomach and another one who was once a little girl curled her body and slept beside Ah’Un.

Years have passed since the last of Naraku was destroyed. Rin had grown up ever since. But her innocent eyes never leaved her. It seemed like she never grew up inside, it still the same childish Rin.

Lit by the moonlight, his face showed serious expression. Is it the right things to do? He asked himself. He had this pity for humans, and it won’t change. He hated humans. They are weak creatures exposing their flaws everywhere.

The question was why he doesn’t mind Rin. He again thought. He was her patron, her bodyguard, her father… He doesn’t mind at all. And it angered him when Rin was kidnapped years ago. It almost like he needed her.

“Sesshoumaru-sama, why don’t you sleep?” a mellow feminine voice brought him back from his lost in thought.

Sesshoumaru kept silent as he brought his gaze to the source of that feminine voice. There she was with her sleepy face. “Back to sleep Rin, don’t mind me,” he said.

“Hai, Sesshoumaru-sama. You should try to get some sleep too,” she said.

“It’s Ok,” it was his usual nonchalant voice.

“Sweet dreams Sesshoumaru-sama,” she mumbled before curled up again and went to sleep.

There were hints of smile at his cold stoic face. So it is indeed runs at his family… He thought. His chichi-ue, his half brother, and now it's his turn.

“Good night Rin…” he whispered as he lost in his thought again gazing at the dim crescent moon.
