Giving Up on Love

A/n: Hi! I'm here with a new fic! Hope you like it! Its a Sakura and Neji fic. I'm kind of starting to like this couple more! So enjoy the fic!

Summary: Sakura has finally given up on love. So she has decided to get stronger and be a better person. But she doesn't know that she captured the heart of a certain Hyuuga. What kind of things will Neji do to get her attention? What happens if he starts getting a little jealous?

Chapter 1: He got some!

Sakura Haruno has finally given up on love. Since Sasuke torn up her heart so much, she was afraid so get rejected again. So now her mind is only set on getting stronger and being a better person. She was tired of being a weak little girl who needed protection. This time she was going to be defending herself. So Sasuke can suffer with the gay fag Orochimaru, because she has finally given up on him and love.

She was now a beautiful 18 year old girl. She kept her hair short, because she had no reason to keep it long anymore. She even dresses different now( She is wearing the same clothes in Naruto season 2, when Sai appears). Her emerald eyes weren't full of happiness anymore, instead they had a look of determination. She had a nice figure, and the same creamy white skin. She is one of strongest kunoichi in Konoha. But not strong enough in her opinion.

She wanted to get strong and beat the crap out of Sasuke. She wanted to be the one to drag his ass back to Konoha. She was going to get stronger and kick his ass for making her suffer. And she was going to enjoy every minute of it.

Thats how much she doesn't like him anymore.

She was still a nice and caring person and all. She even says yes when Naruto asks if she wants to eat ramen with him. She has become more friendlier with Kyuubi container. They have grown a close bond with each other.

Since Sasuke is gone, they got a new teammate Sai. He looked just like Sasuke, but there were many differences. He was always smiling and insulting people. He loved to call Sakura ' ugly ' and Naruto or any other guy ' dickless.' He was Sasuke's complete opposite, he loved to talk it was very hard to shut him up. But either way Sakura and Naruto considered him as a teammate and more importantly as a friend. Even though he was a pain in the ass.

Today Sakura was going to start changing her self more. She was going to train harder then before. So she was going to pick up Hinata from the Hyuuga household. Hinata wanted to train with Sakura, because she wanted to get stronger too. And it was better to have a friend to train with then alone.

She walked until she reached the home of the Hyuuga clan. She was going to pick up Hinata at the front gate.

She saw Hinata standing there with someone. She couldn't see who it was because the person was standing behind Hinata. She walked towards her.

" Good morning Hinata.'' said Sakura.

" Good morning Sakura.'' said Hinata timidly. The person who was standing behind Hinata was the one and only Hyuuga Neji. And he looked as impassive as ever.

" Oh, good morning Neji-san. What brings you out this morning.'' said Sakura bluntly. She wasn't scared of the Hyuuga like she used to be. She used to always stutter when she talked to him. Who wouldn't the man was freaking intimidating. But now she was going to stand up to him and show him that she can be strong.

" Good morning Haruno-san.'' he said politely. " I'm here to accompany Hinata-sama on her training.''

" Okay, lets get going then.''

They finally arrived at the training grounds. The place were team 7 used to train.

Hinata and Sakura started training right away. They threw some punches and kicks on each other. Sakura wanted to get better on her taijutsu skills. And Hinata was having a little trouble in that area as well.

They threw some kicks and punches at each other for quite a while. So far Sakura was beating Hinata, but it wasn't as easy as it seems. Hinata was a tuff opponent to beat and she wasn't to be taken lightly.

Neji just stood there watching the little spar like it was child's play.

' This is so boring.' he thought. He was leaning on a tree with his arms crossed.

' Well why don't you go and spar with them?' said a little voice in his head.

' What? Who the hell are you? '

' This is God's voice telling you to do something a little more entertaining for a while. '

' God? What are you doing in my head? I have not sinned I swear! '

' Idiot. Why the hell would God be talking to you. And here i thought you were the smart one.'

' Then who the hell are you? '

' I'm one of those things you call a conscience. A little voice in your head who tells you right from wrong. Like your inner self. ' explained inner Neji. ( a/n: I just had to let Neji have a inner self! I couldn't resist! )

' Great now I have someone to annoy me. Oh joy.' thought Neji sarcastically.

' Come on don't be such an ass! We will get along just fine! ' said inner Neji happily.

' Go be someone else's conscience.'

' Stuck up prick.'

' Well you're a-

He was cut off because something or someone crashed into him hard. He opened his eyes to see Sakura on top of him with her eyes closed. He could of avoided this if it hadn't been for the annoying conscience of his.

He and Sakura were in a very odd position. She was on top of him her head was on his muscular chest. Both their legs were tangled with each other. He could practically fell her chest on top of his. He could already fell a blush coming towards his cheeks. He wasn't used to having women on top of him or even touching him.

' Oh ho ho. Looks like Mr. Prick has finally going to get some! '

' What! NO! '

Sakura opened her eyes and finally noticed that she was on top of Neji. Normally you would think she would blush and quickly get off. But she didn't even care.

" Sorry about that Neji.'' She tried to get up, but tripped on Neji's leg so she fell right back on top of him. But this time in a more embarrassing position. This time she accidently had her lips crash into Neji's lips.

' He got some! ' inner Neji cheered.

They quickly got away from each other, you could see faint blushes on their faces. Hinata quickly came running towards them.

" Oh my goodness are you two okay?'' she said worriedly.

They were glad that she didn't see the little kissing accident. Or so they thought. Apparently Hinata saw the whole thing, and she was already planning something for the both of them. Neji really needed a girlfriend, maybe he wouldn't be so much of a prick most of the time. And Sakura needed to have someone in her life too.

' Time for some match making! ' thought Hinata happily.

" Looks like you have gotten a little stronger Hinata. I didn't see that last punch you sent me.'' said Sakura. She already shook off the blush. But Neji still had his.

" Um thanks Sakura.'' said Hinata.

While Sakura and Hinata were talking. Neji was having a little talk with himself.

' Her lips were so soft and they tasted like strawberries.'

' Her chest felt nice too.' said inner Neji a little to pervertedly.

' Yeah, her chest felt ni- WAIT A SECOND! '

' Admit it you liked the closeness and the little kiss.'

' Ah ha! I knew it! Finally you are acting like a real man. And here i thought you were gay since you've never been with a girl.'

' Shut up.'

" Neji-san, Neji-san.'' Sakura was trying to get his attention. He was clearly spaced out. She waved her hand in front of his face and got a little closer.

He finally snapped out of it. " What is it? ''

" Well Hinata is tired and I need a new training partner. So could you please train with me?''

' Hell Yes! ' yelled inner Neji.

" Sure.'' he said simply.

She gave him a big smile. " Thanks Neji-san! '' she said happily. Its not everyday that a strong person like him would spar with her. And she was going to have to work really hard to at least win.

He blushed a little when she smiled at him. He quickly shook it off and walked to one side of the field. " I'm not going easy on you.'' he said as he got in a stance.

" I wouldn't have it any other way.''
