Giving Up on Love

Summary: Sakura has finally given up on love. So she has decided to get stronger and be a better person. But she doesn't know that she captured the heart of a certain Hyuuga. What kind of things will Neji do to get her attention? What happens if he starts getting a little jealous?

Chapter 2: Ramen with Sai

Neji was sitting on the ground panting. He just finished the spar between him and Sakura. And he had to admit she kicked ass, literally. He was surprised when she hit the ground with her fist and made it crumble. Neji had some cuts and lots of bruises all over his body. Looks like healing wasn't the only thing Tsunade was teaching her. But, damn he was sure going to be feeling this tomorrow.

' Dude, she kicked your ass good.' said inner neji teasingly.

' No! It was a tie! '

' Suuuure. But I'll accept her kicking your butt because she's super hot and strong.'

' Wait, what? You think she is hot? What are you stupid? '

' Are you blind! She has nice curves, a beautiful face. A very nice butt and not to mention, she has a nice set of boobs.' said inner neji very pervertedly. ' Thats girlfriend material my friend. '

' You're such a pervert.'

' But you still love me! You stuck up prick! ' he said happily.

Neji got up and dusted himself, he also saw Sakura getting up and dusting herself. She and Hinata walked over to him. He crossed his arms over his chest and did his ' I'm a badass look.'

" That was a great match Neji.'' said Sakura happily. She also had a few cuts and bruises on her, but not as much as him. She had to admit, Neji was a tough oppenent. She was glad that he took his time to spar with her. Now she knows that she can at least keep up with the great Hyuuga Neji.

" Hn.'' he responded.

Sakura's eye twitched. She hated that word, it was so annoying. Why couldn't just say ' Your welcome' like normal people. But no, he just had to say that. That word reminded her of Sasuke so much. How he always answered her that way. It annoyed her so much.

She turned and faced Hinata. " Hey Hinata do you want to get some ramen with me? ''

" S-sure.'' Sakura and Hinata started walking towards the ramen shop. Were she and Naruto always eat at.

Neji followed behind with his arms crossed. He kept his distance from behind.

' Why didn't she ask us if we wanted ramen too.' asked inner neji sadly.

' Well she did ask Hinata-sama and since we have to follow her. So technically she was asking us too.' he sad rather smartly.

They were almost there. They just had to take another turn and then they could feed themselves.The walked a little further more and finally got there. They saw Naruto and his teammate Sai stuffing there faces. But they were also arguing too.

" We would have finished the mission sooner if you didn't get your ass kicked dickless! '' said Sai to Naruto.

They just came back from a B-rank mission. Both of them were to retrieve an important scroll. That was stolen from some rouge shinobi. Naruto being rash as always just fought carelessly. So the rouge ninjas beat him pretty good. So Sai had to come to the rescue and save our favorite ramen lover.

" Well they had it coming! I was going to beat them up! But you just had to come in and kick their asses before I could! '' he said angrily. He took another slurp from his ramen bowl.

" Well you would have been dead if I didn't come and save you! '' retorted Sai as he took another sip from his ramen.

And they just kept arguing. They didn't even notice Sakura and the others standing behind them. So when they wouldn't shut up. And she was getting mad, because they didn't notice them. Sakura did the only thing she could do. She grabbed their heads and dunked them in the ramen bowls.

" WHY DID YOU DO THAT! '' yelled Sai and Naruto after they pulled their heads out of the bowls. They had soup and vegetables on their faces. And small blushes of embarrassment across their cheeks.

" Well you wouldn't shut up! '' said the pink haired girl angrily. She crossed her arms over her chest and sent the two men a small but scary glare. She quickly took a seat next to Sai and Hinata took a seat next to Naruto. Neji just stood there standing.

" God ugly I know you like me, but stop acting so desperate to sit next to me.'' said the artist smugly.

Sakura's eye twitched, but she just sat their quietly. They were expecting her to sent Sai flying already for that comment. Heck even Sai was expecting it.

She turned her seat so she could face Sai. She gave him a nice smile. " Well Sai what if I do like you? '' she said seductively.

Everyone was silent, even Naruto. They surely weren't expecting that from her. Everyone was shocked specially Sai. He was always kidding about her liking him. He wouldn't have ever thought that she would actually like him!

Well he wasn't going to give into her that easily. He grabbed her waist and pulled her closer to him. " Well you finally admitted your feelings ugly. But to bad I'm not interested in girls with mosquito bites as boobs. But I'll make an exception for you since I feel sorry for you.''

Sakura had a vine pop on her forehead, but she quickly forced it back in. She put a hand on his chest. " Well Why don't me and you go talk somewhere more privately.''

He grabbed her face and pulled it closer to him. " What are you going to do? Rape me when nobody is looking? Sorry, but I'd rather stay here were its safe.''

Neji just stood there surprised and angry. He didn't like the closeness between Sai and Sakura. He couldn't believe that she was actually flirting with that asshole! He just wanted to pull them apart. And beat the shit out of Sai.

' Hey! Stop touching my woman! ' yelled inner Neji. He clearly didn't like the closeness either.

' Wait! Your woman? Since when did she belong to you? '

' Since she kissed us and invited us to ramen.' he said innocently. ' Oh and when she kicked your ass.'

' Hey that was a tie! '

Neji turned his attention back to Sakura and Sai. She and Sai had their faces inches apart from each other. They were close enough to kiss.

She gave Sai a seductive smile she got close to his ear and whispered something. Sai quickly turned read and looked at her surprised. He then smirked and grabbed her butt. Her shoulders tensed for a second. But she still kept her smile.

" Sai.'' she said.

" What is it now ugl-

He couldn't finish his sentence because he was hit in the face and sent flying. Sakura stood their and cracked her knuckles. She had an evil look plastered on her face.

" Thats what he gets for messing with me.'' she said angrily as she took her seat.

Okay now everyone was officially confused. First she flirts and then she sends him flying. What the heck was she doing!

" Ne, Sakura-chan why did you flirt with the bastard? '' asked Naruto. He had no idea what was going on. He was confused beyond belief.

' Ya! Why did you flirt with the bastard! ' asked inner neji.

Sakura sighed and looked at Naruto. " Don't worry Naruto I was just kidding. ''

" But why did you want to go somewhere privet with him? ''

' Ya! What he said! '

' Will you shut up! '

Sakura just gave him a small smile. " Well I wanted to save him the humiliation of getting his butt kicked in front of everyone. Besides its not like I like him.''

Naruto gave her a big grin. " Well thats good to hear Sakura-chan! You sure got him good this time. ''

Sakura and Hinata both ordered their ramen and started eating. Neji just ordered some tea.
