Blast From the Past

Outside the Xiaolin Temple, Omi was talking to Chase.

"I've read about you Chase Yung, your martial arts skills are unparrareled." Omi said

"Surely i'm not that great." Chase replied modestly, "My uncle Dashi is greater then me in combat. My whole family are skilled martial artists. I miss my cousin though. She was lost a few year sgo."

"What happened?" Omi asked

"She became Wuya." Chase replied sadly

Omi reached into his pocket, and pulled out a photograph, "This is a photograph of my friends, who are like my family. We may argue a lot, but we're close." Chase looked at the photo, "The tall boy in the back is Clay Baily, he's 14, and the dragon of Earth. The tall boy with the red hair is Jack Spicer, the Dragon of Shadows. The blonde boy is Richard Gunther, the Dragon of Light, the girl is Kimiko, i'm the boy at the front." Omi said, as Chase gave him a "You don't say look" Omi continued, "and the tall dark haired boy i..." Omi's voice trailed off

"What's wrong Omi?" Chase asked

"That's Raimundo. He is the dragon of wind, but he betreyed us, and joined the Heylin side. We all were promoted to Apprentence, but Raimundo wasn't. Wuya manipulated him into returning her to human form." Omi said

"Fear not Dragon of the waters. I sense your friend's loyalties do not lie with the Heylin." Hui said

"Hui is my cousin also. Everyone in the village is related some way or another. We don't travel much." Chase said, "Everyone in the village has the family name of Xiao. Xiao was the founder of the Xiao school. Lin was his wife's family name."

"So, that is the origin of the word Xiaolin?" Omi asked

Omi spent the entire week training with the Xiao family, learning to make full use of his Chi energys. As Omi trained a whole week, Kimiko, Clay, Jack, Dojo and Rick had spent a mere four hours in the Heylin cidital.

"Nobodys knows the troubles i've seen, nobody knows my sorrow." Dojo sang sadly, and a tear rolled down his face. Outside the cells, a small gollum repeatedly sang annoying songs, driving the others insane.

"We gotta break out of here." Clay snapped

"We're only been in prison for four hours?" Kimiko asked in disbelief

"Little early to be breaking out. Maybe next year?" Jack asked, trying to break the tension.

"Don't know what's doing my head in more." Rick muttered, "Spicers jokes or the singing."

Suddenly, the ground below the cells exploded, and Omi jumped out the hole.

"Cueball! Did you bring back a new puzzle box?" Jack asked

"Not quite. But i did bring some forward down." Omi said, as Chase Yung jumped out the hole

"Backup? Who?" Clay asked

"Names Chase Young Xiao, dragon of the waters." Chase said. Hui jumped out

"Hui Xiao, dragon of shadows." Hui said. Tebigon jumped out the hole

"Tebigon Xiao. Dragon of earth." Tebigon said. Guan jumped out

"Guan Xiao, dragon of shadows." Guan said

"Grandmaster Dashi Xiao, dragon of Winds." Dashi said

"The anchient dragons?" everyone said together

"Stand back." Tebigon said, shattering the cell doors.

"How can we defeat Wuya?" Rick asked

"The puzzle box. It will open when the one who needs to open it does so." Dashi said

Meanwhile, Wuya was talking over a phone.

"No Prime Minster. It's unconditional surrender, or i sink the United Kingdom to the bottom of the Atlantic." Wuya said, as Raimundo stood by.

"More like we sink you." a voice said, and the 10 dragons entered the room.

"Uncle Dashi!" Wuya spat, "I see that you're as bald as ever."

"And i see your toungue is still as sharp as ever child." Dashi said, as he attempted to open the puzzle box. After a few seconds he groaned, and passed it to Hui, who also failed to open it. The box passed around like a parcel, but nobody was able to open it. Using her dark magic, Wuya teleported the puzzle box to herself, and handed it to Raimundo.

"Hold this, while i deal with the intruders." She said, causing a massive rock fist to grab the dragons, "Now, i'll crush you all like oranges."

"No! You can't crush them like that." Raimundo protested

"Of course not. I'm not going to foul the floors of my throne room. Crush them, but put down a newspaper before you do." Wuya laughed, "Now, for your reward Raimundo. You've served me well, and you can have anything your heart desires. What do you desire?"

Raimundo glanced at Wuya, then at the dragons trapped in the fist, "MY FRIENDS!" he spat, opening the puzzle box.

"NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Wuya screamed, as the energy from the box stripped her of her powers. Around her, the cidital began to collapse. Raimundo picked up the fist of Tebigon, and smashed the rock fist.

"Let's get out of here!" he yelled, as the dragons made a run for it. Just as they were about to leave, Dashi grabbed Wuya and dragged her out with them.

"I couldn't leave her in their. Deep down, she's just the child who made a tragic mistake. Their is still good in her." Dashi explained.

Back at the ruins of the Xiaolin Temple 2 days later, Dashi looked around

"Well, at least it's more complete then the temple back in our own time Chase." Dashi said

"The temple is mere bricks and mortar. It can be rebuilt Uncle Dashi." Chase said

"That it can. But what about the young monk? Can he rebuild the trust he once had?" Dashi asked

"I sense a long walk." Hui said, "I see the wind dragon leaving the temple, to return. During the time, he will progress from the young boy he is, to a young man." Hui said

"Are preperations complete to leave?" Dashi asked

"Yes, but i think it's going to be hard to get Tebigon to leave the magic box alone." Hui said, glancing at Tebigon watching TV.

"You're leaving?" Omi asked, "So soon?"

"We need to get back to how it should be Omi." Dashi explained, as they grapsed the sands of time. Tebigon arrived, grumbling at not having TV, and they all left. Later that day, Raimundo dropped a bombshell.

"You're leaving the temple?" Fung asked, "You proved your loyalties lie with us."

"Master Fung, what you told me the other day, i feel leaving the temple for a while would benifit us. Their is no more Heylin, Wuya was jailed for what she did, and i need to discover myself. I plan to trek China, like a monk of the olden days." Raimundo said, "The temple will allways be my home, and you and the dragons will allways be my 2nd family. I've told the guys, that i plan to leave for a while. They were shocked, but they understand."

With that, Raimundo Pedrosa left the temple, to search for answers, in the long walk as prophersied by Hui Xiao.
