3:00 P.M.
The dismissal bell had just given off it's annoying sound, causing the whole class to rumble out of their seats and out the door. While Alicia Turner was grabbing her book bag, she noticed a tall boy hovering over her. She looked at him and realized that it was Orlando Gregory, the school's biggest jerk. He had gotten almost half of the freshman girls into bed with him. He had a way with his words that made all the girls fall for him; his looks helped a lot, too. He had black hair, a tall-muscular frame, yet he had a child's face. He looked like a young boy in a man's body. Every girl thought he was so cute, but everyone knew that he was a complete asshole. After he'd get with a girl and got what he'd wanted, he dump them there on the spot. Alicia Turner knew this, and she knew that she should be walking past him and out of the classroom immediately. But instead, she decided to see what he wanted. She was just like every other girl. Even though they knew of his reputation, no girl had ever had the guts to say no to a guy like him. Alicia had it a little harder than most girls though.
Alicia Turner was the kind of girl that was into school. She liked going to school and loved to learn new things. She especially loved math; she had tutored most of her Algebra class last year and they all passed with flying colors. She was the kind of girl that went straight home after-school to get an early start on her homework, then she'd spend hours studying a subject that she had already known, and if she had studied enough, she'd skip ahead to the next chapter so she'd have a head start. She was a shy girl, but beautiful nonetheless. She had long, soft, curly brown hair that always looked gorgeous no matter what she'd do with it, even without a brush or styling products. Her frame was tiny; a petite girl at 5'1 with a small waist and flat stomach. She hated her thighs, though. They were supposed to be nice and firm, but they had gotten bigger over the summer time. Ever since then, she hadn't lost or gained any weight. So, she'd wear heels; short heels, but still heals. That helped her look taller and it slimmed down her legs. Though she had a clear, fresh face that had nothing but natural beauty and wonderful features: big, hazel eyes with thick eyelashes, soft lips that never dried and were shaped naturally perfect, and her cheek bones were always a light shade of pink, making sure she wasn't pale, though it was usually just her blushing when someone looked at her.
Alicia Turner was the kind of girl every girl wanted to look like, though Alicia wished she was like the other girls. Alicia looked much more mature than her age. She could pass off as a college student even though she was only of age 15. She seemed much more mature than the teenage girls at her school, and usually, guys were interested in that. Not in her case. She hadn't had a boyfriend in her whole life. Not a kiss, not a kiss on the cheek, not any 'moment' with any guy, no one ever checked her out, no one ever talked to her just because or because they liked her. The only guy that talked to her wanted to borrow her English assignment. She gave it to him, desperate for more Alicia-to-guy contact. But she never got it again. Her geometry teacher told her that the guys were intimidated by her.
Her geometry teacher, the person who had been Alicia's best, and maybe only friend in high school. Every lunch, she'd go to her math classroom and eat lunch with her teacher. They were super close, as if she was her neice or best friend, sometimes even daughter. Her name was Gabriella Montez. Everyone had to call her Ms. Montez or just Montez, but Alicia was allowed to call her Gabriella. Not Gaby, since she despised the nickname for reasons that she wouldn't speak of.
So now, here she was, face to face with the cutest guy in the school. "Alicia, right?" He asked her, his voice smooth and manly. Alicia nodded slowly, staring at him with her mouth wide open.
"Well, Christian is having a party this weekend at his house and I wanted to know if you wanted to go with me." He sounded as if he had rehearsed this line his whole life, but Alicia took no notice. She said yes, then blushed furiously when she realized that she had only mouthed it, not hearing the words coming out of her mouth. "Y-y-yes. I'd-d l-o-o-ve t-t-to," she stumbled nerviously before saying it clear with confidence."I'd love to." She knew that she shouldn't have accepted, but she was desperate. Her dad had fallen in love with a girl at her age, though he never mentioned the details. He had impregnated a Senior girl, though, in his Junior year, and he lost both of the girls. And when she was at the age of 7, her mother died from cancer, and she was sent to live with her father. She had kept her mother's last name. Her father had wanted her to take his last name, or other's wouldn't know that she was his child, since she had no trait from him whatsoever. Though, he was her child, according to the blood tests. But she felt as though she should keep her name, now that her mother was gone.
At this time in her life, she felt as though she would never meet her one true love now. Knowing it wasn't going to be found in Orlando, she thought it might give her the experience of having a boyfriend and such that would make other guys want to date her. He smiled his mega watt smile before tearing a piece of paper from her pink notebook that was still on the desk. He took the pen that was in her hands and wrote on the paper. "Here's the address. It starts at 7 o'clock on Saturday and it's a costume party. Anything goes," he told her, giving her a wink before walking off into the school's hallways. She blushed furiously before grabbing her pink notebook, pen, and To Kill A Mockingbird book before she began walking off.
"Bye, Ms. Montez," Alicia said, waving a good-bye and trying to leave as soon as possible. She'd always call Gabriella by her name whenever a student or teacher was around. And now, even though they were the only ones in the class, the halls were filled with ears. Right when she reached the door, she heard Gabriella call her back, telling her "Not so fast," before she felt her phone vibrating. Gabriella allowed her to take the call, so she answered it there, not looking at the i.d., since she knew that there was only one person that called her phone, ever.
"Hi, dad."
"Hey, Leesh, how was school?"
"Good," she replied, trying to get him to get to the point.
"Okay, listen. I have a doctor's appointment today. I know I promised to pick you up, but I completely forgot. So, when I get home at 5," he told her before she looked at the clock and noticed it was 3, "I expect to see you there." He knew not to push it to by saying "You better be there alone, and no boys or friends over," seeing as every time he had said that in the past, she had cried, telling him that there wasn't any boy who even liked her and she had no friends at all. This was a very sensitive subject with her.
"5 o'clock, got it," she said before saying the 'i love you, bye' and hanging up the phone.
"Good," Gabriella exclaimed, frightening Alicia. "Now you have two hours to tell me what that was, over there with Orlando. I'll give you a ride home so you're not late."
Alicia signed before agreeing, sitting in the first desk straight from Gabriella's view. "Orlando asked me to Christian's party," Alicia gushed. Gabriella smile had dropped instantly. She felt light-headed and dizzy, as if the past was repeating itself. But she wouldn't let that happen again.
"W-when is it?" Gabriella asked, hoping it was any other day than this Saturday.
"This Saturday," Alicia told her. "It's a costume party. And it's at Christian's house." This was too weird, Gabriella thought. She looked up at Alicia and stared at the young girl before her. She wasn't ready for what Gabriella knew was coming. No one deserved what was going to happen, especially Alicia. So, she would have to convince her not to go, knowing that she probably will unless Gabriella confessed her entire secret that she managed to keep hidden from the world for so long. Only three people knew what had happened.
"Look, Alicia, I know you might not take this seriously, but I don't think it's the best thing if you go with him?"
"Why?"
"Because I know guys like him. Trust me."
"But I want to go. You can't make me not go," Alicia said obviously.
"But I can convince your father not to let you go," Gabriella told her, looking up from her reading glasses.
"Why would you do that?" Alicia asked. She had believed that Gabriella would be happy for her.
"Because, I don't want you to get hurt."
"HURT? HOW!" Alicia had left her things on the desk and was now in front of Gabriella's desk.
"By doing leading someone into doing something you're not ready for, then not having enough time to back out," Gabriella told her softly, turning from her to hide her tears.
Alicia was confused, but lowered her voice. "Doing what?"
"Nothing. Just forget it," Gabriella mumbled. "Something happened to me that no one deserves. And I don't want you to go through the same thing."
"What happened?" Alicia asked, slowly and softly.
Gabriella hesitated telling her, but decided that this was the only way to convince her. To take the advice from someone who knew what was going to happen and from who had experienced it.
"I was raped," Gabriella said softly before starting to tell her the story of when it all happened, her Junior year in high school, her high school memories
Author's Note: Hope you like. Almost obvious who the daughter is. & I'm going to write at the top, things like The Clique story does for every chapter. That's where I got some names from. Not all, but some. Review please. They make me feel happy that someone took the time to share an opinion, even a small one, from one of my stories. Constructive critism is welcome. This story may sound cliche, but I've never written a rape story before. I might take some things from what happened to my friend's sister. I consider her my friend too, but she was raped by her stepdad.
