But Alex Krycek, he's not as no-nonsense as everyone thinks. He's been known to break a few rules – not to mention hearts – in his day, sure, but when push comes to shove, he just isn't a bad guy.

He really wanted to help Mulder out. It killed him to see Ol' Smoky using Mulder as some kind of pawn in his twisted game. What he wouldn't have done to see that smoking bastard dead.

Unfortunately, justice comes at a price, and Krycek would never see the world end.
