Dis cl aim er: I don't own Kingdom Hearts. Short sweet and to the point.
shugo: My inspiration for this fic is probably by far the weirdest I've ever heard of. So I woke up in the middle of the night because I was thirsty. I grabbed a coca cola and then this idea hit me in the side of the head like a brick. And I stayed up till like... three in the morning writing it. So... yeah... I always have more to say but then forget what I'm gonna say.
Oh, yeah, I remembered. The title for this fic has absolutely nothing to do with the Gorillaz song Sunshine In A Bag. I think...
So anyway.. enjoy. :)
so-called chapter summary: Axel gets a new roommate who is a total nightmare. Oooh, let's watch how he deals with it. ((watches intently while eating popcorn))

CHAPTER o1 : roommate
-Axel's POV-
Burbulation:
The obsessive act of opening and closing a refrigerator door in
an attempt to catch it before the automatic light comes on.
-- "Sniglets", Rich Hall & Friends
It was 2:02. 2:02 in the frickin' morning. Why the hell did I wake up then?
My question was suddenly answered by my stomach.
I rolled off my bed-literally rolled off it and hit the floor. My legs felt like jello. Speaking of which... my stomach gave another loud rumble. I swear, it was probably enough to wake my roommate.
I made my way into the kitchen-tripping over a discarded couch cushion on my way there-and opened the fridge. Then closed it and opened it again. Why is it that you can never open it and the light won't come on?
Hmm. No jello. Oh, hey, coke. I grabbed the soda, not quite caring that it was probably unhealthy to drink it in the middle of the night.
I found myself wondering if I would still be able to make it to my bed. I was still half-asleep. If not, I could just crash on the couch.
I just plopped down on the couch when my roommate's door opened. I looked up and found him staring at me. No, scratch that. Glaring. He was pretty intimidating for a kid. Or whatever.
So... about my roommate. He's seventeen, only a year younger than me. And as I said before, the kid scared me a bit, as much as I hate to admit it. It's like when Larxene throws a bitch fit only it's constant for this kid. He's actually okay once you get to know him. Yeah...
Don't listen to me. I'm lying. I don't know a thing about the guy except that his name is Roxas and that he's all unemotional... and stuff. And he just moved in a week ago. Plus, he looks a lot like a friend of mine. So besides that, there was nothing else I knew about him.
At the moment I half-expected him to say ''Hey,'' or ''Hi,'' or ''What the hell are you doing up at like two in the freaking morning?''
''What are you doing up?'' he asked simply. I off by nine words. Well, at least he wasn't in a bad mood. Which was like, always. So nevermind then.
''I could ask you the same,'' I said.
He shot me a look and stalked past me into the kitchen. ''I was thirsty,'' he practically snarled. I flinched.
I heard the fridge door open and Roxas let out a frustrated sigh. ''Did you take the last soda?''
''Uh.. I.. might've...'' I replied somewhat sheepishly. I seriously didn't know it was the last soda. IT WAS MY STOMACH'S FAULT! HE DID IT! I secretly hoped that Roxas wouldn't chop my head off. And he didn't. Much to my surprise, he sat down on the couch next to me. Like, right there. Next to me. Wow, when he wasn't busy sulking and whatnot he actually looked... pretty normal. If he wasn't.. un-normal, I would've probably jumped him right now. But I feared for my safety since he wasn't really... normal.
I glanced at my half-finished soda and then handed it to him.
Once again, I half-expected him to say something like ''Huh?'' or ''Yeah, I see the can,'' or ''Ew, I'm not drinking anything with your spit in it.''
He didn't say anything. Instead, he just took the can and drank from it, the rim barely touching his lips. How suave.
''I'm going back to bed,'' Roxas snapped, suddenly standing up.
I felt myself flinch. Christ, what was up with this kid? I growled low in my throat. I didn't need this sort of behavior. I was my apartment to begin with anyway, dammit! But wait, if I lashed out, Roxas would probably break my neck. I wanted to make peace with him, not make both of us murderers.
''Hey, Roxas, wait!''
I saw him freeze halfway from his room. ''What?''
Now that was the tone that made me want to throw the TV at him. I sucked in a breath and refrained myself from doing so. Even though I wanted to. Badly. Must. Resist. Temptation.
''Tomorrow,'' I started, but stopped. Wait, it was already 'tomorrow.' ''Uh, later today, I'm going out with a few friends. Do you.. wanna come?''
''Why?''
I nearly went slack-jawed. Did he ever go out? I swear, the only times I've ever seen him go out of the apartment was like.. only twice. He really needed to get out more. But I didn't tell him that.
''To, y'know, hang out.''
''Why are you asking me?''
Um, 'cause you need to get a life.
''I dunno. I figured you probably have nothing better to do so...'' I quickly trailed off thinking that that was probably the wrong thing to say. But it was true. He spent most of his time locked up in his room.
But without noticing it, I had made a secret oath to myself that I would get Roxas to loosen up a bit and maybe even smile. Plus, I didn't want to live with a bitchy roommate.
Roxas only shrugged. ''Whatever.''
I felt myself grinning. ''I take that as a yes?''
Roxas walked into his room while saying, ''Take it however you like.''
He shut the door and I ran up to it, shouting through the wood, ''Okay, at twelve o'clock sharp, we're leaving. Got it memorized?''
The door suddenly swung open and I fell forward coming face to face with a very pissed looking Roxas. Literally. Our noses were like, practically touching. Sapphire blue eyes narrowed at me. Roxas suddenly realized how close our faces were and backed up a bit. I, personally, didn't mind the closeness.
''Yeah, ok, can I go to sleep now?''
I smirked. Was he blushing? Hehehe... ''Be my guest.''
He thanked me by slamming the door in my face.

shugo: I have no clue where I'm going with this. I'm getting a pretty vague idea though. Seriously, sometimes I write something and don't even know what I'm going to do with it. But it sure is fun to write :D
So... about the place they're gonna meet up at. I was thinking Starbucks so then Sora can get hyper off of frappuccino’s and scare people and stuff and be random. That would be fun to write. Actually, I'm already starting on it. :D
Review and I shall reward you with m00fins. :)
