Summary: Hermione and Viktor have never spent a night alone. When someone gets dreadfully lonely, they turn to candy they know is off limits.

Hermione sat on the sofa, book in hand, pumpkin juice on the table with the dozen or so boxes to the many chocolate frogs she had consumed that evening, wrapped in a blanket and clad in Viktor's pajama pants and tee shirt that ran a risk of swallowing her whole.

"Gah," she sighed, closing her book and looking at the clock. Hermione glanced at a picture of Viktor and herself on the inn table, "I miss you," she said to the smiling Viktor in the photo who blew her a kiss.

Viktor and Hermione, since she had moved to Bulgaria to live with Viktor, had never spent a night apart. The full size bed was always occupied at night by the loving couple and Hermione was not looking forward to the emptiness it would hold for her tonight. Viktor was out taking care of some of the loose ends concerning his spot on the Bulgarian National Quidditch team and was expected at a finalizing meeting at 7:00 in the morning, not making a mass amount of sense to come home at 1:00 in the morning only to leave at 6:00 that same morning. Both, Viktor and Hermione, had agreed that spending one night apart wouldn't kill them, though now Hermione was starting to regret it as she headed into their bedroom. She turned down the blankets, laid down, turned off the light with a flick of her wand, and hugged Viktor's pillow.

Viktor yawned as he unlocked the door, sitting his overnight bag in the floor by the door. He kicked off his shoes and pulled his robes off, throwing them on the back of the sofa, laughing at Hermione's mess she left on the inn table. He softly trotted to their bedroom. Hermione laid sprawled out on the bed, one arm draped over Viktor's pillow and the covers twisted around her contorted body.

He pulled his shirt over his head, laying it over the back of a chair by the closet, removed his pants and socks and put them on top of his shirt. Viktor looked at the bed and Hermione, debating on how to get in the bed without waking her up. After realizing that he was going to have to move Hermione in some way, Viktor decided simply to lift her up.

"Um," Hermione mumbled, "I'm glad you're home."

Viktor kissed Hermione on the forehead, reclaimed his pillow since Hermione was now hugging him, and was soon off to sleep.

"Viktor," Hermione shook him awake, "wake up. It's 11 o'clock."

He grunted and threw the covers back. Viktor stretched and yawned, rubbed his stomach and headed to the kitchen.

"Vhat do ve haff for breakfast," Viktor inquired, rummaging through the cabinets.

"I'm going shopping, that's why I woke you up," Hermione mused, "and you're going with me."

Viktor frowned, "you ate all my chocolate frogs," he commented when he saw the empty container he kept them in. Viktor pulled Hermione into a hug but scowled down at her.

"Yes, well, I," Hermione looked for a loophole to escape with. She knew even as she ate Viktor's favorite candy that had to be in the house at all times, just for situations such as this morning's pilferage for breakfast, he would complain about it later, "well you see…"

"Is okay," Viktor sighed, pulling Hermione into a kiss, "are much better than chocolate."

"You can get some more at the store," Hermione smiled. Viktor suddenly pulled away from her and went to the living room. He scoffed at the empty boxes he laughed at earlier, "Viktor, I'm sorry," she followed him.

"I know," Viktor mumbled his acceptance while searching for a book on the shelf, "here," Viktor pulled the large book Cyrillic book off the shelf.

"You wanted a book," Hermione said confused, "why did you suddenly have to get that book?"

"Because," Viktor opened it and pulled two boxes out of the middle of the book, "is secret, secret stash of candy," he smiled, sitting on the sofa in his boxers with his last two chocolate frogs, "haff fun at store and don't forget chocolate frogs."

"Uh," Hermione frowned with disbelief at Viktor's antics and refusal to go shopping with her, "I'll be back later," Hermione disappeared with a pop.
