Chapter One: "The 'Crash and Burn(ing)' of the SGC..."

Cameron Mitchell walked into Daniel's office, to see if the archaeologist wanted to get something to eat, since he hadn't been seen since that morning. Cameron stopped. No body had seen Vala either, not since SG-3 brought back that artifact with all the pretty jewels on it. Cameron smirked, thinking about how he could tease Daniel about being cooped up in the same room with Vala for hours on end. He knocked, but no one answered. Not worrying about it, Cameron just walked in. He was about to announce his invitation, until he noticed that no body was in there. The artifact was lit up, and it was humming. Cameron walked over to it, carefully, when he noticed that somebody was laying on the floor, behind the desk. Two people actually. But they looked too small to be Daniel or Vala. They looked as if they were teenagers.

Cameron knelt next to one of them, and turned them over. The boy had a resemblance to Daniel, his facial features were younger, and he was smaller. He flipped the other teen over, and it was Vala. He called for a medical team, and they were there in no time. Sam Carter and Teal'c weren't far behind. They made it to Daniel's office just in time to see two teenagers being rolled out of Daniel's office.

"Cam, what happened?" Sam asked.

"Ya know, I just don't know." Cameron shrugged.

"Is that Daniel?" Sam asked.

"And Vala." Cameron finished, nodding his head.

"That's not good." Sam said.

"Yeah, I already figured that." Cameron nodded. "Let's just hope they remember everything, and they don't have the personality of teenagers."

"And if they do, Colonel Mitchell?" Teal'c seemed curious about what a normal average Tau'ri teen was like.

"We'll all burn and die..." Cameron smiled. But Teal'c still didn't understand. "...drown in hormones... crash and burn... Oh come, wasn't Ry'ac cranky, easily annoyed, or moody when he was a teenager?"

"He was not." Teal'c said.

"Oh boy, are you in for a surprise!" Cameron laughed, as he led the way to the infirmary.

Daniel was the first one to open his eyes. He looked around, confused. He saw Cameron, Sam and Teal'c looking at him. And soon, a doctor was shining a light in his eyes.

"Can you tell me your full name?" she asked.

"Daniel Nicholas Jackson." he answered.

"How old are you?" the doctor turned the light off.

"Thirty eight." Daniel answered.

"It just doesn't look like it from here." Cameron smiled.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Daniel asked.

"Oh, well, you look younger, that's all. Much younger. Twenty years younger, actually..." Cameron laughed.

"Is that some sort of compliment or something..." Daniel was confused.

"Daniel, look at yourself." Sam handed him a hand mirror.

"Oh my god, what the hell happened?" he looked into the mirror harder, moving his hand around his face. "I look fifteen again!"

"And you sound like it too!" a slightly familiar voice said, happily. "And my, you were quite hot at that age."

"Yeah, tell that to everyone in my High School." Daniel mumbled. "Wait a second, did you touch something on that artifact?"

"No, And why am I always the one being blamed? Why not Teal'c?" Vala asked.

"Because Teal'c isn't lying in a bed next to me in the infirmary, and, you're usually blamed, because you're usually the one at fault!" Daniel explained.

"But I didn't touch anything!" Vala almost shouted.

"You must've, cause when I turned my back, I suddenly end up on the floor, and almost twenty years younger!" Daniel snapped.

"Why are you so moody?" Vala asked.

"Because I'm in the same room with you!" Daniel said.

"Someone needs to get rid of a little extra testosterone..." Vala sighed.

"Would you like the short or long answer for that?" Daniel asked.

"Short." Vala said.

"No."

"What's the long one?"

"No. Go away." Daniel pouted, arms crossed over his chest. He turned to lay on his side, putting his adolescent back to Vala.

"Well that certainly isn't the answer I hoped for." Vala frowned.

"And you're probably never gonna get the answer you were hoping for, now..." Cameron smiled, as he walked over to Vala's bed.

"Oh, just shut up." Vala muttered.

"Watch the language, young lady. You could get grounded for that." Cameron shook his head.

"You're not my father."

"No, but I'm one of your official caretakers. We all are. Cause, you... are a minor..."

"Well it won't last long."

"You hope." Cameron laughed softly, and slowly exited the infirmary, since Sam and Teal'c had already left, after getting a headache from all the yelling, and teenage taunting being thrown around the room.
