Nights Like These
Time get away with each suicidal drops of rain drum a constant melody in rhyme with the heartbeats. It is nights like these when you two sit there silently, you drop the mask and quit the soliloquy as the spotlights out and the curtain fall, leaving the audience of one.
One special audience who stay by your side even after you walk down the stage and reveal the dark side of the mask.
A smile, a breath, and unspoken understanding as the lightning rends the skies.
You’re glad that you have someone like her. Deny it as you may, but you know you need her, someone to make you tea on a rainy evening without you having to ask, to watch the beautiful sunrise with you as the dawn fall upon yet another day, to hold you in silence when things gutter down and words are nothing more than brittle structure, and to remind you that leaning on another is not sign of weakness.
Nights like these when she pours you the tea as you thank her by your eyes.
It is a simple moment to stretch for a lifetime.
A/N: This is just something I wrote in flash of minutes, hence the terribly short drabble. It’s a SasuHina nonetheless. My apology if you find the grammar is a little bit off. Comments are more than welcomed.
