Kitty Hamagochy's Halloween Special
By: Kitty Hamagochy
Aaaaa the Halloween sent. The crisp autumn air tingeing your neck. The lumbering oak's leaves painted with their vibrancies of orange red and brown. The sky dashed a faint gold signaling the oncoming night. The perfect time to go to a Haunted farm. Sonic and the gang, namely Tails, Rouge, Amy, Shadow, Cream, and to his discomfort Knuckles, had decided that what better way to celebrate Halloween then to visit a haunted farm festival! They had a maze, a huge pumpkin patch, gifts and food, and of course what any haunted place could never do without a Haunted House.
"Why did you bring me here anyway?" Knuckles groaned walking in the back as they made there way towards the bottom of the hill.
"Because you’re afraid of ghosts." Rouge twisted her head to his view and gave a minty grin.
"I am not!" He testified grumpily. "Only a nitwit would believe in ghosts." He crossed his arms and slid down the beaten path
Rouge slowed herself to bring her speed of stealth to his and looked at him faking a scared expression. "Well I do..." Knuckles looked over to her not buying any of it. "One time when I was little a ghost took me by the throat..." She repeated it with Knuckles. "and shock me like a rag doll leaving me gasping for breath and..."
"Hey Rouge Leave Some For The Zombies would ya?" Rouge stopped strangling Knuckles to listen to Sonic chuckle.
Sonic, Amy, Tails, and Cream where already down the path. Amy waved to them signaling to 'come on'. Rouge grinned back a Knuckles her paws still around his neck there noises almost touching. She let go of him and jogged up to the others. Knuckles just looked on astonished and a little stricken at what happened. He recoiled himself to follow the others still lagging behind.
He felt his neck that he swore was bleeding. "Damn that girl has a death grip..." He breathed.
While Knuckles hated Halloween Rouge loved it. Being a bat it sorta came naturally. She was dressed it a more simple autumn style with a black to gray wool sweater and thick black pants to keep warm and tall black boots with no heals. It was Amy who actually proposed this get together with everyone. Instead of her red dress she wore a red and white coat with white lose pants that led down to her heels with red and white sneakers. Sonic just adorned in blue jeans and a brown belt with his normal shoes. Shadow who had unhappily gone with the group adorned him with a leather jacket exposing his white furred chest and black jeans with black and gold sneakers. Tails had invited Cream after hearing from Amy. Cream just wore a straw bonnet with pink shoes and a light pink autumn dress. Tails had a green and red sweater on with ark green pants and white shoes. Much more ready for Christmas then Halloween. After they had entered the festival grounds everyone decided to go their own way. Shadow deciding to take a quick start on the haunted House. Cream, and Amy to he maze. Sonic and Tails to the gaming parlor and Rouge with a lumbering Knuckles over to the gifts and snacks.
Rouge had already bought something A bag of Yum Yum which she took delight in eating. She saw knuckles stumble over to her. "Here try some." With out notice Rouge stuffed a chocolate Yum Yum in his mouth, which her hardly had time to even taste as it was stuffed half down his throat.
"Wha'd ya do that for?" He asked annoyed watching the bat stuff her face.
"What you've never had chocolate before?"
"Yea I've had chocolate before but it’s kinda hard to taste if it’s lunged into my stomach."
"Aww lighten up will ya? What about Cider Doughnuts?"
"What about'em?"
"Ever had them?"
"No..." He didn't really care what he answered at this point he could tell she was trying to annoy him. And it was working.
"How about Pumpkin Pie?"
"I've had a Pumpkin before and I don’t think it would taste good on a pie."
Rouge tilted her head to the side like a parakeet deciphering human speech. "Oh you poor dear echidna, we need to get you off that island more. Come on I'll buy you some." With that Rouge took Knuckles by the arm and lead him to an old bakery barn that had been made into a restaurant.
Shadow had enter the haunted house moments ago and so far wasn't entertained. The house definitely had an ambiance of darkness and death but to Shadow it wasn't amusing. He walked down the first hallway looking forward into the darkened beyond. Items on walls and tables mettled with cobwebs and dust just lingering there untouched by man. From the darkness grew a gray light as like an old horror film some candles hung upon the wall lit unexpectedly. Shadow listened to the laughter of children and from the darkened portal before him emerged two white figures soon put into view as young children. About the age of five or six. They jogged right past him playfully most likely playing a game with one another running to catch up. Shadows watched them disappear into the darkness that he had left behind.
He had to admit that was kind of creepy. But it was probably some kids that went messing with some dust or cooking flour and were about to get caught for there deed. He continued his walk down the murky hallway. Not stopping to look into the many doorways he passed by. A clock struck 9:00pm, which almost made him jump out of his skin. He clutched his heart breathing heavily. He looked back down the hall behind him just for safety purposes. Then continued forward each step echoing for miles and the light becoming dimmer blinding his way.
Moments passed before he made it to the end of the hallway. A staircase leading up to the next level. He decided for some more excitement to check out the upper level. Once his foot planted the step, with out warning a smash of glass like someone was braking in could be heard echoing through out the whole house. He pauses and just waited. Sweat drizzling down his forehead and teeth clashed just waiting. Waiting for another sign. He listened questioning why he become so nerves all of a sudden. He made his way, step by step clutching the bar for dear life. This house gave him a strange queasy feeling.
The upper level wasn't all that different. The only real difference was that there were some windows in the hallway. Speaking of windows, One Was Broken! The one just a head of him was shattered to pieces the jagged glass hosting a black liquid and the sunset sky illuminating the block hallway. He made his was to the window swiping a finder on the glass taking some of the liquid and bringing to his view. To his knowledge it was blood. He tensioned a little scanning his surroundings. He had to remember that this was most likely a set-up. But then the blood should have been dry and crusted on the glass. Instead it was smooth and warm. He swerved his head behind him at the catch of some footsteps walking calmly down the hall but not seeing any figure. The clock struck 10:00pm. An hour had gone by? Just a recording... Shadow thought cleaning the blood from his finger on his pants and waking back down the hall to wonder the rest of the house.
"Hey Shadow!" He heard a voice from outside the window call to him.
He walked up to the window and stuck his head outside making sure not to cut his neck on the glass. He saw Sonic and the rest of the group some feet from the house. "What?" He called back down to them.
"We're going to the pumpkin patch ya wanna' come?" Sonic asked.
"Naaaa I'm going to finish looking through this house. Hey Sonic do you have the time?" Shadow looked back into the darkened house then out again.
"Aaaaa..." Sonic checked his bronze watch. "Looks like it’s... wow, 10:45 doesn't seam that late. Hey Shad why don't we meet up back at the entrance in about 10 minutes kay'?" Sonic looked a little concerned.
"Kay'!" Was all Shadow answered.
"I'll pick you out a pumpkin!" Sonic grinned and he could of sworn he saw Shadow roll his eyes as he disappeared back into the house.
The rest of the group walked down into the large field.
"You know what I'm going to carve into my pumpkin?" Rouge asked seemingly anybody.
"I can only guess..." Knuckles grumped following awhile behind again.
"I'm going to carve Knuckles' head and use it for target practice." Rouge had a large proud grin on her face.
"What? Why You Little!" Knuckles tried to defend himself but nothing could come out.
"Wow Rouge your obsessed..." Sonic caught on to there conversation.
"Well I'm going to paint you on mine Sonic." Amy grabbed onto Sonic's arm snuggling close to him.
Sonic knew Amy meant well but she was still a little creepy with her Sonic worship. Sonic just blushed and continued on ahead.
Shadow walked back down the hall past the clock that went off only moments ago. He had the oddest feeling that he was being watch. The truth was he was not alone. Above him crouched two figures in the darkness. One completely red with fuzzy yellow hair and flopped orange ears. His eyes black and shimmering yellow, his hands clawed, small black bat wings on his back a devils tail and green spiked shoes.
"Man it didn't work!" He complained to the other figure next to him.
"Yea he's not sacred. Brave fella isn't he?" The purple figure responded. His hair a jester like style all purple. A pink polka dotted face and horn like nose. A pink swirl on his chest and a curly tail. Green and red spiked gloves much likes Knuckles' and red and green boots. As well having yellow eyes that glowed.
"So we're just going to have to try harder won't we Ballosa?" The orange figure began to stand.
"Right..."
"Your not going to be scaring anyone Frankie." Ballosa, the purple one, was cut off as another figure entered from the darkness. This time he was a deep navy blue with a yellow spiked Mohawk and an orange hanging ears.
Defiantly the odd one of the group having red and blue striped arms and legs. Spiked gloves and yellow, green, and brown tennis shoes. Full-fledged blue bat wings and a crocked blue tail. His eyes were as well yellow and a yellow spade shimmered on his chest.
"I told you never to call me that Herue!" The orange one scolded through his clutched teeth shaking a fist at him.
"Your not much of a phantom." Herue just looked at the enraged creature calmly. "I'd expect you to at least know that orange, red, and yellow don't make a phantom..." He sighed.
"Its Halloween Phantom!" He smiled proudly.
"I still think that name doesn't work..."
"Then don't think."
"Hey Phantom aren't we going to go after that red and black hedgehog down there?" Ballosa pointed to Shadow who had just gone out of view.
"Yea, right, we need to freak this guy out." Phantom began to walk towards Ballosa but was caught around the writs by Herue.
"No Frankie! Mother wants us to lead him to her. Not scare him half out of his mind." Herue acted so much like an older brother. That’s what he thought himself as. An older brother among children.
"So what? Who says we always have to do what mother says?" Phantom jerked his wrist lose from Herue’s grip angrily.
"Ya know Herue does have a point." Ballosa now taking the side of Herue.
"Oh alright! Why do you always have to ruin everyone's fun Herue?" Phantom glared at Herue.
"Its what I do."
With that the three vanished with out a trace. Where were they going? We'll soon find out. Shadow was on the look out for the figure that had ran down the hall before. Everything was completely silent except for the whistling winds slithering through the broken glass of other windows. Cooling the innards of the house sending a chill down Shadow's spine. He began to wonder if this was a real haunted house and not one of those primped up ones. There was not sound effects, no pretend cobwebs, no sheet ghosts about to pop up right in front of you, no beaten trail to fallow, and he was the only one in the house. He was starting to find there was much more to this house then he first thought.
He turned another corner and the wind seamed to all of a sudden stop and an echoing pair of footsteps pranced down the hall. He rubbed his eyes catching a glimpse of a white blurry figure jogging in the opposite direction. Shadow narrowed his eyes and began to fallow. Each step he took became darker and darker. As if the shadow's had minds of there owns. The figure vanished as if it was simply white smoke. Vanished in front of an open dimly lit room.
Shadow slowly walked forward and peered slowly into the room. He heard a rocking chair and saw a shadow streaming from the fireplace moving back and forth slowly. Shadow gingerly opened the door further to look upon the fire lit creature. It was a smooth white arctic fox dressed in a cream silk gown with only one lose strap over her right shoulder with a light cherry rose pined to it. She seamed so very young but her ghostly disposition gave her an eerie aura.
"Aaaaa hello." Shadow stepped inside somewhat hesitant.
Her head slowly turned to him like a rusty bolt on a pipe. "Hello young hedgehog...I've been expecting you for awhile..." Her speech was so slow and coldly. Each breathe seemingly releasing icy mist into the comfortingly warm dorm.
All was at an eerie silence. The white fox rose from her chair and walked over to him gingerly. Almost as if her feet never touched the ground. Shadow took a step back. The furrie bent to her knees and placed her long fingered right paw to his cheek. So cold with no life. Like an ice cube.
"What are you doing here?" He lightly stammered enticed by her crystal eyes staring deep into his crimson ones.
"Why, I live here." She answered him as if he was dumb.
"What? How can you? This is... an old house...its not suitable to live in." Shadow tried to reason.
She stood up once again and began to walk around the room slowly. "Always look beyond what your eyes can see."
"But-"
"I have lived here for over 200 years."
"Then you should be-"
"Dead... Look beyond what your eyes can see. You will see another world." She turned to him and all of a sudden he became numb.
"What The? I Can't Move!" He yipped pinned upright to the floor.
"And you know how I have survived all these years?" She asked him coming right up to his face again.
"I don't care... But I bet your going to tell me."
"By stealing souls." She kissed him fully on the lips and he blacked out.
"Hello! Shadow!" Sonic's voice could be heard echoing through out the entire home.
Apparently they had been waiting at the exit but he never showed. So they decided to go and look for him. Unfortunately no answer was heard except for Sonic own recoiled voice agents the unstable walls.
"Ya know...I bet he fell through a trap door or something." Rouge commented.
Everyone else sweat dropped and some laughed a little.
"We should go find him." Tails perked up.
"Right. This place is pretty big so we should split up." Sonic suggested.
Knuckles got a chill. "Split Up! Split Up! Are You Crazy! You know what happened when we split up? We all get hunted down one by one. And the one who's afraid always goes first! I mean Scooby Doo is a perfect example!" Knuckles argued. He looked over to Rouge who seamed to be suppressing a laugh. "What are you laughing about?" He angrily asked.
"Oh nothing..." She didn't want to expose her thoughts of seeing him as Shaggy.
"So your saying you Are afraid of Ghosts?" Sonic smirked.
"Yes..." He answered so smooth but with out thinking. "...I mean NO, of course I'm not afraid of stupid ghosts. I..."
"Don't worry Knuckle Head I'll come with you and make sure no little spooks get you." Rouge clasped her arm around his neck and squeezed.
"Great... I feel a lot better..." He sarcastically answered. His voice crankily from Rouge's tightened grip.
"Right. Lets get this over with. I want to go home soon today." Sonic smirked and went his separate way with Amy close behind.
Cream went with Tails keeping a close grip on his arm making sure she didn't get lost, and of course Rouge went with Knuckles to protect him.
Knuckles and Rouge had decided to explore the bottom of the house, including the basement. To Knuckles' huge dismay. If what Rouge said before was correct they he would probably be in the basement after falling into a Bobbie trap. Rouge was perfectly fine walking into a darkened hallway with no lights. She used her hearing and the best of her site. Knuckles was crouched behind her looking to both sides making sure nothing wound happen. He suddenly stopped and straightened out like a soldier in training possibly hearing a sound her didn't like. Rouge stopped and turned to him narrowing her eyes because now it was just getting pathetic. She placed her hands on her hips and walked closer to him.
"Knuckles give it a rest. If there are any ghosts here they either won't bother you or I'll take care of them for you." She tried not to sound annoyed with him.
Knuckles got back her courage. "Hey I don't need any sympathy from you!"
"Look at cha' your a walking ice cube! Your first step would be to admit you’re afraid!"
"I'm not afraid!"
"Look Knuckles everyone knows you have a fear of ghosts just admit..." Rouge suddenly stopped and twitched her ears around.
"What’s wrong?" Knuckles asked waiting nervously.
"Shush." She hushed him.
He stayed quiet, just waiting for something to happen. Seconds went by soon into a minute. The air was tense.
"Knuckles!" Rouge suddenly placed herself directly in front of him as if to block something. A diamond tipped chain collided with Rouge's spine.
Her face widened with the pain and as the speared chain was withdrawn she collapsed into Knuckles arms.
Knuckles caught her easily. "Rouge...? Rouge! No!" He tried to see if she was still alive.
He wrapped his paw around her wrist. She had no pulse. Her body quickly felt like ice. From her mouth a white cloud emerged that Knuckles couldn't see. It floated up to the ceiling and a figure swallowed it and grinned from its taste.
"Lets mess around with this guy..." Phantom smirked.
"Lets.." Ballosa agreed.
Knuckles picked up her limp body in his arms. He didn't know what to do. Could it possibly be Rouge was dead? What had come at her? She was no longer breathing and her heart had stopped. She was as cold as snow. He looked a head to see a white phantom heading towards him. Its head and claws enlarged like a haunters laughing manically.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Knuckles completely freaked.
It grabbed Rouge in its large grasp and carried her away.
"Rouge No! Get Back Here!" Knuckles dashed after it aiming enough courage from his friend's peril.
Rouge's captor soon formed itself from a cloud into the purple figure known as Ballosa, with Rouge still in his arms, landing acrobatically next to the orange one known as Frankie/Phantom.
"Hello Knuckles." Phantom greeted.
"Give Rouge back!" Knuckles didn't even pay attention to the one who had addressed him.
"Why would you want her back? We watched you two fight. Besides she's dead anyway." Ballosa laughed.
"Just give her back you rejected clown!" Knuckles snarled fiercely.
"I'm afraid your battle's with me." Phantom interrupted. Knuckles finally took notice to the orange one. "I have an idea let’s make a wager." He mused gathering on the suspense. " If you win you can have her back soul and all. But if I win you'll be in the same state as her." He paused once again holding out his paw. "So what'da ya say?" His eyes somewhat giving an evilness to them.
Knuckles glared daggers not trusting that creature one bit. "Fine..."
"Hey that’s unfair! You already have a soul and I didn't get any!" Ballosa complained.
"Well then go for one of those other guys. There’s like four others here you can knock off!" Phantom had little to no patients when it came to Ballosa or any one for that matter.
"But that’s still unfair! You'll get two souls and I'll only get one!" Ballosa cried.
"There’s FOUR other creatures here. So go steal TWO souls from the FOUR..." Phantom was really losing his patients.
"But that still doesn't make sense! Because Mama will only get I and me and Herue and you will get 2 so-"
"Hey Are We Going To Fight Or Are you just Going To Bicker All Night?" Now Knuckles was the one who was getting impatient.
"Fine then you want a fight I'll give you a fight!" Phantom leaped up.
Knuckles watched as Ballosa stuck his tongue out and vanished into the floor. "Hey Wait Rouge- Ahhhh" He tried to run to her but Phantom collided into his chest sending him skidding back down the hallway.
Phantom landed gracefully on the floor. "Come on is that really the best you can do?" He mocked.
Knuckles helped himself up off the floor. "You have no Idea what I can do." Knuckles called out his battle cry charging Knuckles at the ready towards his opponent.
Phantom hands glowed and with out Knuckles even realizing why he was faced with a piercing pain in his stomach.
"Rouge..." He breathed the last of his breath as he collapsed to the floor...dead...
The same little cloud appeared from Knuckles mouth and Phantom swallowed it. In his arms he held a glowing white chain with a sharpened diamond dangling on the end. Dripping with Rouge's and now Knuckles' blood.
Phantom lightly chuckled. "To easy for me." He lifted Knuckles' dead body over his shoulder like a hunter and his dead game proceeding into the darkness.
"What was that?" Cream whimpered grasping hard onto Tails', already numb, arm.
"It sounded like Knuckles." Tails looked around.
"I'm scared Tails."
"Don't worry Cream it’s just an old house. There’s no such things as ghosts. Ha, ya know, I bet Rouge just scared Knuckles, that’s all." Tails gave a sweet smile reassuring Cream everything would be alright.
Cream nodded half-heartedly. Tails and Cream had taken the top floor and attic. Looking around there really wasn't much to see. bark brown moldy boxes piled on one another. The room dark and desolate except for a ray of light gleaming from the moon through a round attic window. The dust from there feet kicked up as they moved around. Cream coughed a little bit letting go of Tails to cover her mouth and turned away politely. She turned to an old white-gray dresser reopening her eyes to see what she had disturbed.
"Hey Shadow Ya Up Here?" Tails called out. Listening, but no answer came.
"Hey Tails look at this." Instead Cream had called him over to the dresser she had stumbled upon before.
"What is it Cream?" Tails looked to what she was pointing at.
An old brown portrait that portrayed a white fox around her thirties and a couple of younger children of all spices.
"I wonder if they’re the one who use to live in this house." Cream inquired picking up the framed image.
A rolled up old piece of paper fell from the back and rolled along the dusty floor just around Tails' feet. He picked it up and opened it. His eyes skimmed across the old inked cursive. Trying to make it out the best he could. His eyes widened as he got to the end of the paper.
"This place is a foster home." He exclaimed to Cream. "Those animals in the portrait must have been the ones who lived here." He inquired looking to the image.
"What does this one say?" Cream asked handing him another old contract like piece of paper she had found from the drawer in the dresser.
Tails took it from her and scanned through its inking. "Apparently the house was bought out along with the land to a business man. But it isn't signed on the bottom like it is on the other sheet."
"That’s because the deal was never rightfully settled." The heard a voice coming from out of nowhere.
"Tails!" Cream grabbed Tails around the waist hugging him tightly and burrowing her face into his chest once again becoming overwhelmingly frightened.
Tails put his arms around her. "Who are you? Show yourself!" Tails demanded.
All turned silent; the air racked with the sense of tension. Cream still wrapped around Tails for protection. The walls all around them soon became completely black and a warp appear in front of them determined to suck them in. Tails quickly grabbed a hold of a pole that was bolted to the floor holding Cream close to him determined not to let her slip.
"Hold on!" Tails yelled over the blare of the portal.
The wind speed increased greatly and it seamed they were inside of a tornado. Items flying in all directions threatening Tails to loosen his grip. Suddenly a dark demon's claw appeared from the eye, stretching itself towards the two. It quickly snapped itself around Cream letting itself be pulled back into the portal. Creams grip was lost; Tails tried his best but to no avail. His grip lost and the portal took Cream inside its darkened grasp.
As the darkness took it’s pray the warp faded. Tails gathered his footing and ran towards where the portal once was. The wall was solid and cool.
"Cream? Cream Can You Hear Me? Cream?" He tried his best to communicate with her banging his fist agents the wall with all his might.
"She's gone...And you shall join her." The mysterious voice appeared again.
"Aaaaa?" Tails looked above him to where the noise echoed. All he saw was a dark blue and yellow figure jump down from the ceiling before he blanked.
"Amy stop clinging so much." Sonic complained; for Amy had been holding his arm ever sense they had gotten to the middle level of the home.
"But this place is so dark and I don't want to lose you." Amy half lied. Just being able to hold her hero's arm was enough.
The silent wind wisped through the same shattered window Shadow was at before.
"Well how far could he have gone from here?" Sonic questioned.
"Well this house is dark and he's a black hedgehog..." Amy answered.
"Yea knowing him he probably got lost in a hallway." Sonic joked.
"Sonic!" Amy scolded giving him an angrily look.
"What?" He answered as if he did nothing wrong.
They began to walk in the same direction Shadow had before them. Which meant they were heading right towards the white foxes room. Sonic could feel Amy shiver for a second.
"You okay?" He asked sweetly.
"Yea I'm fine just felt a cold breeze that’s all." She smiled up to him.
Not to long from then the same room that Shadow had entered came to their view.
"Hey maybe Shadow Went in there!" Amy perked up letting go of Sonic's arm to rush a head.
"Whoa Amy wait up." Sonic began to jog after; but Amy only got about a few feet before a blackened portal was opened beneath her feel and she was sent plummeting into an endless void. Sonic rushed over to her and stared down into the darkness. Her figure was nowhere to be Sean. "Amy? Amy Where Are You!" Sonic became frantic as the portal closed quickly and there was nothing left but the lit room and darkness on all sides.
Sonic had no choice but to enter the unknown room. And so he did. Opening the door anger plastered upon his face. He grabbed a hold of the handle. He only hoped that whoever took Amy was behind this door. He jerked it open quickly and with out fear. That’s when he saw...them!
Shadow, Rouge, Knuckles, Cream, Tails, and Amy. All of there bodies laying on the ground lifeless. All had blood in puddles around there bodies.
"Guys!" Sonic ran to them to see if it was true what he saw.
He moved their bodies to see if any of them were alive. All of them were as cold as winter snow but their blood now smeared upon Sonic's white gloves were so warm. He just stared at there blood now leaking off his paws. His eyes widened in immense shock. Speechless beyond compare.
"Hello Sonic." He turned swiftly to the voice that had addressed him.
The beautiful arctic fox sat peacefully in her rocking chair. In her right had was a spirit cloud. She placed it under her muzzle and slowly inhaled it. Sonic gave a snake’s glare
"Are you the one who did this to all of them!" He snarled.
"Yes... but mostly my children." She seamed to calm.
As she said those words Herue, Ballosa, and Phantom appeared at her side.
"You won't live to regret it!." Sonic wasn't fazed by her calm nature.
"But my dear...we're already dead.." The three lept up from the behind the foxes back and began to charge fiercely at him.
And so a battle raged. The three creatures battling on hard agents the speedy blue hedgehog. Each one throwing attack after attack and Sonic dodging as best he could. Herue’s weapon was a long metal rod. The same he had use to knock out Tails. Phantom's was the diamond speared Chain, Ballosa had nothing but a bunch of bombs. He sprayed them like Rain all around Sonic causing a large up cast of dust. Herue came in with his staff swinging it around like a sword. Sonic caught it at the last moment and used all of his strength to fling Herue over into the fire.
Yes the fire had soon expanded through out the room from all of the vibrations. It spread through out the hall. The white fox just sat there though her dress was burning along with some of her fur. The room reeked with the stench of burning flesh. Amy and the others had began to catch a flame. Herue’s painful cry from the flames died down as his ashes only remained and the fire spread further.
"You'll pay for that hedgehog!" Phantom cried wiping his chain around furiously.
Phantom threw it at him causing large indents in the ground. Sonic made a risk and grabbed a hold of the diamond tip. It was as sharp as a double-edged sword. He got a better grip and twirled Phantom around about his head. Phantom lost his grip and was flung into the flames. The house now echoed with his cried of pain. Ballosa became scared but didn't give up. He pulled out about ten bombs and flung them at Sonic as fast he could. Sonic used the chain he still had from Phantom to cut the bombs in half. Sonic's eyes glared red and yellow agents the flames. His power fueled by immense pain, anger, and sadness. Sonic twirled the chain around Ballosa's foot and flung him along with the chain into the flames.
By this time the entire house was engulfed in yellow fury. The building began to collapse. Sonic finally got a good look at his surroundings. He was taped at all sides by hungry flames. He looked over to the white fox he entire body was gone except for her head that was being nibbled on by the fire. Sonic collapsed to his knees. He looked down to his friends whose bodies were nothing but ash. Rouge, Shadow, Knuckles, Cream Tails, and Amy. They were all gone now. He closed his eyes and began to cry his great tears of sorrow evaporating once they touched the ember floor.
The fox’s head was all burnt into ashes. All but her crystal eyes that glowed an embracing white light. Everything became a beautiful silence as Sonic opened his eyes shimmering in the light.
"Sonic..." Someone called in front of him. Soon more voices joined it. Calling out to him. All the voiced of his friends.
"Is this heaven? Am I really... Dead?" He asked himself.
The light became blinding as Sonic lifted his arm to cover his ear stained eyes.
"Sonic." A new voice called to him. He removed his arm to look upon the same arctic fox that had taken his friends. "Thank you so much dear hedgehog. Our spirits had been taped inside that house where we died for so very long. Now that the house is destroyed our spirits are free." The fox smiled. Sonic stared in awwment at the foxes lovely figure lined in the light. "As a gift I would like to give you back the souls of your friends in new bodies." She widened her arms and from them were six lovely white orbs.
They floated down to circle Sonic. He looked around him as each of they began to be engulfed in the outline of his friends. They were all being reborn right before his eyes. The lights from there bodies snapped off into the air and their eyes began to open.
"You guys your all alright!" Sonic exclaimed happily.
"Sonic!" Amy was the first to embrace him in a loving hug.
"Sonic!" Tails came next.
Followed by Cream. Knuckles Rouge and Shadow stood around him happily not really showing that much sensitivity.
"Now it is time for you all to return home." The fox smiled and as her figure vanished they were sent back to Earth. Where they could spend the rest of there life in peace and harmony.
