Kingdom Hearts III

Summary: Picks up exactly where Kingdom Hearts II leaves off. Sora, Kairi, Riku, King Mickey, even Roxas…all wielders of the Keyblade. The Warriors of Light. Their story continues. Action/adventure, but sort of Sora/Kairi, Roxas/Naminé. SERIOUS KH2 SPOILERS. Rated K+ for mild fantasy violence.

Disclaimer: I do not own the Kingdom Hearts series or anything pertaining to it. The following is based off of characters and concepts from the video games. Some quotes, flashbacks, and spoken/reworded flashbacks were directly described and quoted from the video games.

All sections of italicized text are either thoughts, dreams, or flashbacks.

This picks up exactly where KH2 and my previous fanfic “Back to the Light” left off. I know, not a great title, but let’s face it, this is Kingdom Hearts III, there’s no way around it. I’m planning to tell things more from Riku’s POV than Sora’s, but this’ll be in third person, either way.

Chapter One

Here We Go Again…

“Sora! Riku!” The two boys turned and looked over their shoulders at the redheaded girl who was running towards them.

“Hey, what’s up?” Sora asked curiously, Riku leaping down from the branch of the paopu tree.

“Look!” Kairi was clutching a glass bottle, and inside was a tightly rolled scroll, bearing King Mickey’s seal.

“From the King?” Sora said, taking the bottle and sliding the paper out.

The Keyblade Wielder’s eyes quickly scanned the page, Riku and Kairi standing close beside him, reading over his shoulder. Sora glanced from Kairi, to Riku.

Riku smiled tightly.

“Here we go again,” he said with grim amusement.

Yes, very short, but work with me, people, I’m taking you from point A to point B. This is basically the ending sequence from KH2. The only thing I added as far as dialogue goes was that line “Here we go again”. I wanted to relive this scene, because it sets up for the rest of the story.

As a warning, I’m kinda wrapped up in the writing of an “Avatar: The Last Airbender” fanfic right now, so updates on this will be pretty random. If you wanna keep up with this story, I suggest you put it on story alert.

Sorry about the long closing statement, but I kinda have a tendency to do that, so get used to it. giggles

Did anyone besides me notice that both KH and KH2 ended with the heroes getting a letter from King Mickey?
