Comments: Hi everyone! I thought I was just post up this old Fanfic that I wrote back When Dracula 2000 came out. I wasn't impressed with the ending at all, so I rewrote it to a more romantic one. Who the heck would choose Simon over a gorgeous, immortal being like Dracula, who worshipped the ground you walked on!
Original Notes: Well, this is my very first attempt at a Dracula 200 Fanfic. Since Fanfics for this show are scarce, it's up to me to amuse everyone. :) Beware, it's incredibly corny. Yep, corny as hell. I might do a Revision. But what can you expect from 4 in the morning? Hehehe. I always hated the ending to this Movie-not to mention every Movie that ends up killing the Vampire at the end-so I'm changing it! And it has one of those endings that just has you going 'Awwwwwww!'. What can I say? I'm a sucker for mush, mush, mush!
We have a Dracula/Mary section up at the Destiny's Gateway Archives, if anyone would like to come on over and post their Fanfic, or have a read. The link is in my Profile.
Please review me! You don't know how much it means to an Author to get a review on their Fanfic and to know that you're enjoying it. Believe me, it makes us want to write more for you. LOL.
Enjoy the Fanfic!

YOUR HEART IS MINE
By Princess Destiny
Mary stared upwards, into his blood-red eyes. She was helpless and dangling so far above the ground and the fall would break every bone in her body, but all she could see and know was him. His eternal sadness. She had betrayed him.
'Mary, you have betrayed me.' Somehow, he sounded as knowing as he did resigned. She had betrayed him and on some level, he had know that she would. But on another, he had hoped that she would not.
'My mate.' he whispered mentally to her, blood tears falling freely from his eyes. The pain she had brought him were nothing to his centuries of pain. Nothing to his years trapped in that coffin with leaches. Nothing to his betrayal of the one who had trusted him so long ago. No, this ran much deeper. He had shown her his soul and she had betrayed him for a human.
A human!
Fury coursed through his veins and for a moment, he almost let her go. She would not die because she was a vampire now, but she would take months to heal. Months of agony and not being able to feed. His cruelty almost allowed this. But not.
"Please forgive me!" Mary cried up to him, tears falling from her eyes also. It was at this last point, when he was being strangled and there was no escape from the rising sun, that she realized everything. Realized that he had given her his soul along with his love. His memories...his trust.
'My betrayer.'
'No! No, please.' Mary thought, lips trembling. All she could see was his face, slowly beginning to be back-lit by the rising dawn. Soon he would be dust.
"No!" she gripped his hand tighter and began to pull herself up.
Dracula watched as Mary used him to pull herself up his body. Her hand latched into the top of his pants, then the other went to his shoulder as she yanked herself upwards. "Mary, what are you doing?" he managed around the strangle-hold. He looked at her with no ire now, resigned to his fate.
"Don't be such a martyr!" Mary hissed into his ear in a rare fury as she pulled herself upwards until both arms were about his neck. The strain on his neck must be terrible with her added weight.
Dracula blinked in surprise at her statement. "I was a born martyr, Mary." a slight smile curved his lips.
Mary raised a hand and slapped him hard. "Don't you care?" she said to him, pressing her face close until their lips brushed. "Don't you care that I love you?"
"You love me?" he repeated, eyes boring deeply into hers.
"Mary!" Simon screamed from above. "What are you doing?"
Mary glanced up at him, then back at Dracula urgently. "I'm not going to betray you again. You're not going to die and leave me. Your absolution is with me."
There was a tug on the rope and both Dracula and Mary looked upwards sharply. Simon was tugging on the line, trying to choke Dracula more.
Mary's eyes suddenly flashed blood-red and she bared her elongated teeth at him. "Let go of that line or I'll come up there and rip your bloody head off!" she snarled at him.
"Mary?" Simon gasped in shock, seeing her face.
"I mean it! Step away." she growled, reaching up above Dracula's head and grabbing the line to still it's movement.
"He'd brainwashed you." Simon said angrily, jerking at the line again violently.
Mary's red eyes widened in shock as she was suddenly shaken loose and began to fall.
"Mary!" Dracula called out, hands grabbing at her.
She felt his hands grip at her fingers, then slid away. She fell, swallowing back a scream. Her eyes clung to Dracula's as he snarled in fury.
The sun abruptly came above the horizon and a line of golden light began to sweep across the darkness.
'Mary!' Dracula called out mentally in anguish.
'My heart is yours.' Mary whispered tenderly, waiting for the impact. It was too late. She couldn't free him and the sun had arrived.
"No!" Dracula roared, hands reaching up to the cable about his neck. He snapped it in one swift movement and began to plummet after Mary.
"No!" Simon yelled, seeing that the dark lord had vanished from sight just as the sun touched where he had dangled.
Mary felt the ground about to crush her when arms came about her. She was held to a familiar muscled chest and cradled lovingly there, everything spinning about them. Then there was darkness.
"You're awake, my Mary."
Mary sat up with a gasp as her memory began to work. She saw him standing near the stone coffin she had been laying on. "You're alright," she breathed, jumping to the ground and striding quickly over to him. He stood still as she reached out and traced the smooth unblemished skin of his neck. He had healed already.
'How long was I out?' she asked mentally, growing as comfortable with that manner of speak as a verbal one.
'An hour only.' he replied, smiling slightly. Dracula watched her with his dark eyes, as if he were unsure whether she were real...or if he deserved her.
Mary was suddenly filled with fury as her mind went over the events of the last night and day. He had broken that cable like it was a piece of straw! He'd been trying to die. How dare he? "I don't know whether to hit you or kiss you!" she said furiously. "You could have broken that cable at any time, couldn't you?"
Dracula moved forward, chest pressing against hers. She backed off and he followed step by step until she was pressed against the coffin and pinned between his body and it. "Of course," he said simply, reaching behind her, hand trailing over the coffin almost caressingly. His dark eyes swept up to meet hers narrowly. "You're welcome to kiss me whenever you wish, beloved."
"Don't change the subject." she retorted.
"I'm merely dissuading you," Dracula murmured, the hand moving from the coffin to cup her jaw. He moved his index finger along her cheek in a seductive manner. "Are you done talking?" his eyes burnt hungrily into hers.
"Not yet." she said, trying to back up a step, but having no more room to go. Mary licked her lips and froze when his eyes flared blood-red in lust.
"And how can I convince you to stop?" he inquired, voice like silk. His other hand rose and swept along the smooth line of her neck in a loving manner. "You talk too much, Mary." he cupped her face in both his hands and moved his face closer until their breath mingled.
'You convinced me to live, beloved. What will you give me in return?' he purred mentally, his tongue reaching out to trace along her bottom lip.
Mary groaned, almost melting into a puddle of useless goo. "And you're too smooth a talker for me to fight." she said, getting weak-kneed. What was it about this man that made her go all to mush when he touched her? Or even spoke to her?
'We are one soul.' he murmured to her, lips moving closer. His lips touched hers in the lightest of kisses, then abruptly deepened as she pressed closer. His mouth ravished hers in possession and love and lust and she let him.
'Don't ever leave me...' Mary thought to him, arms going about his neck. Her heart swelled with love as their bodies and souls connected on several levels.
'I will never leave you, Mary.' Dracula thought back, mind caressing hers even as his lips did.
"Did you mean what you said before?" Mary gasped, breaking away from the intense kiss. Her legs had long given out and he was supporting her with his body, an arm about her waist to pin her to him possessively.
"Which part?" Dracula murmured, smiling slightly.
"About me being your mate?"
"Oh yes," he said possessively. "You're mine. And no one and nothing is going to come between us."
"I can live with that," Mary managed, before her lips were captured by his again. 'I think I could get to love being a vampire-as long as I'm with you.'
"We need to sleep. Tonight we leave the city." Dracula told her, breaking their kiss.
"In a coffin?" Mary said apprehensively.
"You'll get used to it." he murmured pulling away. He waited until she had moved back and then he pulled the heavy stone lid from the coffin.
Mary peered inside and made a face.
'You will never look like that, Mary,' Dracula assured her.
"What about the previous tenant?" she queried , wrinkling her nose.
Dracula reached in and pulled out the body easily, flinging it carelessly into the corner.
Mary watched, feeling bad somehow.
"Dead is dead, beloved."
"I know. And I'll get used to it," she replied, nodding. She took his extended hand and moved into the musty-smelling coffin, laying on her side.
Dracula pulled the lid back onto the coffin and climbed inside, then slid it shut. He lay down and turn onto his side, curling about her spoon-style, hands resting on her stomach in his possessive way. "Sleep." he told her, closing his eyes.
Mary did so and surprisingly fell into a deep sleep.
"Simon," Mary murmured, opening her eyes. He was close. He must have spent the whole day searching every crypt and burial plot for them, when he failed in the City.
Dracula's eyes opened and burned red in fury. 'He must die. He will follow us until he finds us and tries to kill us.'
'He tried to kill you.' she said, remembering the cable. She'd begged him not to shake the cable, but he'd ignored her-and resulted in her almost being crushed on the ground.
Hate began to burn inside her and she sat up, hands thrusting upwards to the coffin top. It flew off as if hit by a huge force and crashed into the wall. It shattered into hundreds of pieces.
Dracula's eyes brightened with red fire in delight at her fury. He could feel it coursing through her veins. 'Mary,' he touched his tongue to his top lip hungrily as they jumped out, ready to face Simon.
"Mary!" Simon's voice called out. He'd obviously heard the coffin lip shatter against the wall.
"In here, Simon." she sing-songed, standing calmly in the center of the crypt.
Dracula strode up to her and swung her around by the arm, kissing her hard. "Take his head." he murmured against her lips, then pulled back as Simon came crashing through the closed door.
The door crashed against the wall, revealing a haggard-looking guy carrying a large sword. "Mary," his eyes went right to her, looking her over for injury. "Are you okay?" he asked her, levelling his sword at Dracula.
"I'm fine, Simon," she looked at him with open amusement. 'How sweet. He came to rescue me.' her mental tone was incredulous. "You shouldn't have come." she told him.
"What-?" Simon began, looking stunned.
Before he could move, Mary had called on her Vampiric speed and disarmed him. Another move had him throw into the crypt, landing on his back in the dirt. Mary came to a stop before him and became visible to his human eyes, the sword in her hands.
"You were stupid to come," she informed him, eyes blazing red with blood-lust. She licked her lips. "I haven't fed yet-and nether has he." she looked at Dracula tenderly.
Simon saw her look and a sick expression crossed his features. He'd just realized his mistake. "I shouldn't have come," he repeated like a robot, getting to his feet.
Mary walked forward, the sword before her, until the point touched his chest.
"Take his head, Mary," Dracula murmured, eyes sardonic as they rested on Simon's face. 'Fool. He shouldn't have sought us out.'
Mary shrugged a slender shoulder in answer to Dracula's words. The she raised the sword and rested it against Simon's shoulder, smiling as she noticed his involuntary shaking. She could smell his fear and it was so intoxicating. Her red eyes closed for a long moment as she breathed in deep. 'Delicious.'
'Isn't it?' he purred in agreement.
"Mary, I thought that you cared about me. Don't do this." Simon pleaded, breaking into a sweat.
Mary's eyes opened and she regarded Simon thoughtfully. "No, I don't think I want his head after all." she murmured.
Simon relaxed.
Dracula walked over to her gracefully and looked down into her lazy eyes. "No?" he queried, knowing that she was thinking of something else.
They both turned to eye Simon as if he were an interesting piece of art.
"No." Mary shook her head and smiled at Simon teasingly. She removed the sword from his shoulder and handed it smoothly to Dracula. "No," she repeated, smile widening. "I think I'll take his heart."
The End
No, there will be no Sequel. LOL. This was just a oneshot because I was really unhappy with how Dracula 2000 ended. :Glares:
