I Am Not Blind
Disclaimer: Despite much begging, I STILL don't own Batman Beyond...Although, they said they'd get back to me about owning Terry... .:Grins:.
A/N: Ya know that one "Batman: TAS" episode, I forget the name, but Barbara is THIS CLOSE to telling her dad that she's Batgirl...Now, listen VERY closely to their conversation...If you ask me, he either knows, has an idea, doesn't want to know ((Like Lucious Fox off "batman begins")), or something like that. That gave me an idea about this.
Contrary to popular opinion, I'm not half as blind as I seem.
I'm not really sure when it hit me. All I know, is that somewhere between Batman always being around when Terry was missing, and Batman being our family's "guardian angel", I got the idea.
Slowly, it grew. Of course, him telling us he was Batman might have been a good clue, but what could I have said to that? Choke on my food and sign us up for family therapy? Not that I haven't thought about that.
And after that, the puzzle pieces kinda fell into place. Late nights, strange injuries, having conversations with the news about Batman, it all started to add up.
Then there was Wayne. To be honest, that man scares me. I'll be slagged if I'll admit it, but his whole aura just seems off. Throwing him into the equation made the whole answer all that more obvious. Who else in Gotham had the money to get the technologies to do half of what the suit, Batmobile, and every other thing he's ever used? Hell, who else on Earth has it?
It amazes me that all the villians on this side of the universe aren't visiting Wayne Manor more often!
Oh, and the Commissoner knows something. She's a little harder to read then the other two, but she's got a secret too. How else could Terry and she have made friends so fast? Last time he'd been to the Police Station, Terry had been in cuffs, so I don't think a few years made any difference. If I had to make a bet, she was involved with the original Batman's team.
I feel sorry for Dana sometimes. Stressing on the 'sometimes'. I've never liked the way she plays with my son. But she's being...I'd hate to say "lied to"...as much as I am. I wonder why he doesn't just tell us? I mean, he already has, but I'd bet we'd believe it this time. And Max...
Max. My opinion on her changes daily from "Worst" to "Best" thing that ever happened to Terry. I see that little 'look' they share when Terry gets off the phone with Wayne, and I know she knows about his little 'night job' too. She's Terry's best friend, I can tell, but I can also tell she's a bit to nosy for her own good. I'd be willing to bet thats how she found out.
For the record, I'm not nosy. I just know how to add two and two together and get four!
I'm worried more about Matt than I am about Terry, actually. No, it has nothing to do with him being the 'baby' of the family. He looks up to his brother, believe it or not. And he's all but obsessed with Batman. What mother with a child who is a hero would not be worried? I'm not sure which I'm more afraid of him imatating: Terry, or Batman.
But, all answers will, hopfully, come in time. Or at least most of them.
One thing is for sure, however.
My son is a hero, and I know it.
A/N: FIN! Or IS it? Okay, it is. Now, how was it? I haven't watched Batman Beyond in YEARS! But, I LOVED the show...Well, the parts I remember...:Cough:. Anywho, REVEIW OR I'LL HURT YOU!
