You changed me.

I was deaf, dumb and blind before you.

The things I said then

Are nothing now.

Broken remnants of who I was.

You made me more like you,

I tried to make you more like me.

Too bad I think I succeeded.

I would have been better off before you,

I will be lost now without you.

Neither of us was really good for the other,

There are a million reasons why not.

But resisting would have been worse,

You're my only light,

My only breath, my insane sanity.

My prayer- if I believe- is this:

I ask that we come together again,

That some miracle, some twist of fate,

Proves this moment wrong.

An underhanded dealing of life's cards.
