Glossary- Darkness Within and An Army of One

-Characters(in order of appearance)-

Aldar Reftin Radald- The main character. Thirteen at the time of Zero's massacre.

Julia Serthin Radald- The main character's mother. Doesn't show up much, 'cause she's dead.

Terrin Dredin Radald-The main character's father. Was supposedly blown up inside a building, but became Bass Lethe Cossack.

Thomas Light- The creator of Aldar's cybernetic implants and MegaMan X...and ProtoMan.

Zero- The ruthless killer himself. During his long hibernation, he calmed down.

MegaMan X Light-The creation of Dr. Light. Is ProtoMan's younger brother.

Various Maverick Hunter HQ Staff- The ones behind the scenes, trying to cultivate Aldar's darkness, just like everybody else.

Quick Dash-A rogue Maverick that gave Aldar the Maverick Virus.

Dr. Cain- The doctor that discovered X in his post-Cataclysmic capsule

Sigma- The evil genius that discovered Aldar's capsule in the basement of the HQ and abducted him.

Protean (ProtoMan)- MegaMan's older brother. Mortally wounds Aldar after he began a strange blood-writing epidemic.

Len Renstar- The finder of Aldar's second capsule. The Commander of the Red Base.

Bass Cossack- Not the real Bass. See Terrin Radald.

InfernoMan- Aldar's Navi. Is actually his light side incarnate, or Ssyndref.

Leviathan- One of the four leaders of the Blue Base. Quests to kill Aldar.

Copy X- One of the four leaders of the Blue Base. Doesn't have as much of a killing thirst as the others.

Fefnir- One of the four leaders of the Blue Base. Seems to not care as much.

Harpuia- One of the four leaders of the Blue Base. Has a massive vendetta against Aldar.

Peresen- One of the Lab technicians at the Red Base. Helps to debug Aldar.

Meddy- Peresen's Navi.

ShadowMan- The assassin that Leviathan hired to kill Aldar.

CosmoMan- The messenger of the Blue Base. Kidnaps Aldar once.

Myrrset- Aldar's dark side, sometimes incarnate.

Sebastian Rethen- A scientist from Cain Labs taht joins them and researches Aldar.

Captain Neal- The head of the Licensing Department. Gives out missions to license holders.

Rak Radald- Aldar's clone and companion.

Ssyndref- Aldar's Navi, unmasked.

Bryth- A hazmat from the Nebula Tesing Facility.

Dr. Regal- The leader of Nebula. Places a mind-control program into Aldar and commands him to do his bidding.

-Places-

Maverick Hunters HQ- Uh...Duh.

Maverick Base1 (sewer)- This I made up. There are no records of a pre-Cataclysmic Maverick base.

Maverick Base2 (post-Cataclysm)- This I didn't make up.

Dr. Light's Lab- Nobody knows what the inside is like...so I made it up.

Security Vaults- A previously unknown part of the Maverick Hunters HQ that holds the C-Buster and a DarkChip.

Cyberworld- Duh.

Undernet- The evil counterpart to the Cyberworld.

Cajer- The neigboring, if you could call it that, city to the site of the Base Wars.

Jerat- The farther-away...place.

Megalopolis- The city razed by its own inhabitants.

Plane of Weirdness- Aldar's mind, or any plane that has nothing in it.

-Character Glossary-

-Aldar-

Kieran Thalen- Aldar's first illusion.

Redgen Herrin- Aldar's second illusion, which he changed to become his real body.

Shadow Snake- Aldar's hypnotized form, where he is totally possessed by evil.

Chest Gem- The gateway into Aldar's mind.

Explosion- A way to vent some excess energy that comes from frustration, anger, or transformation.

Personality Shifts- Caused by Purifier and DarkViruses.

-Len Renstar-

Commander- The leader of the Red Base.

Giver of Second Chances- ...Yeah. She does...A lot.

-Bass-

Father- Aldar's father, who quit his job without telling his family and was killed in an explosion caused by Quick Dash.

Dark Master- He had a hundred and ten years to master it. Think that's enough time?

Traitor- He was working with the Blue Base to fulfill Aldar's prophecy. Don't blame him.

-Rak-

Clone- Nebula cloned Aldar without telling Bass... and he doesn't like Rak.

Soul-stealer- The process of cloning doesn't produce a soul, but when the cloned and the clone meet, the soul is ripped in two.

-Alternate Universe Notes(Alphabetized)-

110 years- This amount of time was long enough to skip the rest of the X series, and get right to about MegaMan Zero 2.

Aldar Radald- No, he never existed. I wish he did...but no. He was a character I made up.

Len Renstar- This was not my character originally. She was the brainchild of Sephi Kitsune.

Bass- I had to make up a story involving the original Bass and how Aldar's father came to be Bass. Like it?

Bass GS- He was killed waaaay tooeasily, but I didn't exactly know all his powers and I couldn't find them out.

Cajer/Jerat- These places never existed. Neither did the Red Base/Resistance and the Blue Base/Neo Arcadia.

Cataclysm- This did exist in the X series. Pre-cataclysm was an explanation for how it happened, and why X was found alone.

Eurasia- I'm not sure if I got every detail about this right, I never played the game. Tell me if I slipped.

Landscape- The landscape around the Bases should have been charred and destroyed, right? Wrong. The destruction of nature is a criminal offense, and both the Bases have made a treaty to protect it, even if it means delaying the War.

Maverick Base- This...I explained it earlier.

Maverick Hunters Base- I had to make this up. Nobody knows what it looked like.

Murkland- Since I never truly completed MegaMan BN 3, I never got to Murkland. Sorry, but I had to make it up.

Nebula Space Base- This never existed in the Zero series.

NetNavis- These I decided to bring over from the BN alternate universe...'cause they're cool.

Nebula- This was the same as the Netnavis. Besides, who would have been running the Blue Base if not for Nebula? WWW? No.

Red Base/Blue Base- These came from the same Sephi Kitsune that made Len Renstar. Thank her.

Secret Net- This did exist, but I had to shorten it.

Serenade- He knows too much, huh? He's a member of the High Three. Don't tell anyone.

The Afterlife- Yeah, I know some of you are going to bug me about that, but I created an afterlife 'government'.

-Actual Main Glossary(Alphabetized)-

DarkChip- The power of the DarkViruses in an easy and portable format.

DarkVirus- The driving force behind everything in this story.

Dual Swords- I got these from some video game or other...but they're cool.

Kunai- A ninja weapon that is shaped like a spade.

Master- The term that some powerful beings call the people who command them.

Meditation- A gateway into the Plane of Weirdness, or the Realm of the Dead.

NebProg- This program actually embodied a sort of ritual that one would use to fully control a Dark being. Regal was lucky he didn't have to do the whole pentagram thing.

Pit- The measure for energy that I made up. The order of prefixes is as follows: kilo, mega, giga, tera, peta, exo, zetta, yotta.

Prophecy- Just like the DarkViruses, another of the driving forces behind this and every story that's ever included the word destiny.

Psychic Sword- I took the Halo 2 sword and moved the handle to the side. Ooo. Sue me.

Purifier- The program that was given to Aldar by Dr. Light, in order to choose his own path.

Second/Third Forms- I wanted to put something in between the normal form and the DarkSoul.

Shuriken- Another ninja weapon shaped like a four-pronged star.

Spells- A more organized form of power.

Z-Saber- THe weapon that Aldar stole from the Maverick Hunters Base. it disintegrated when he cut Serenade's gate.

-Final Notes-

I had a lot of fun writing this story. I'm sorry it was so long, and Darkness Within was so short, but...deal.

You can request for things to be added to the Glossary- something you didn't understand, or some inconsistency that you want me to explain away. I'm up for it.

I may write another story. Requests would be appreciated...I have no ideas. Heh.

So go read something else.
