Hiya folks! Welcome to my third story on It took a while, but I finally decided on which story to write. I've had a few ideas, but I liked this one best, so I'm doing it first.

The rating is PG-13. I'm actually not sure what it should be rated, but I'll just say PG-13 for now.

I'm not entirely sure what the pairing will be, but I'll figure it out eventually.

I'm hoping that this story will be much better than my last two. I did like my last two, but I got confused and messed up on "Through Eyes of a Stranger", and I rushed "Fox Angel" a bit.

I don't own Naruto or anything in it. Never have, never will.

Oh, and in this story, Sasuke never went to Orochimaru. They're all about 14 right now.

Chapter 1

"In later news, another person has gone missing. The Konoha Police Force has tried their best, but no traces of the person who commits these kidnappings has been found. Here's what the chief-of-police had to say:

'We couldn't find any strong traces of chakra. Either the perpetrator is very good at concealing their chakra, or the kidnapper is not a ninja at all. We could find no witnesses of any of the kidnappings.'

Sasuke got off the couch and walked out the door.

More about the kidnappings… How bad is our police force getting when they can't even solve a simple case like this?

People smiled at him as he passed by.

They do this every day on the way to the bridge… Just because I'm an Uchiha.

He sighed. He was only a Chuunin, and people treated him like he was the Hokage or something. It was getting annoying.

He shook himself out of his thoughts when he saw the bridge coming into view. Apparently he came into view, too, because Sakura started waving and shouting.

"Good morning Sasuke-kuuuun!" That's getting annoying too…

"Haha, Sasuke-teme! I beat you!" Well… I suppose I could live with that…

"Naruto! Don't make fun of Sasuke-kun! I'm sure he has a good excuse! Don't you Sasuke-kun?"

"Feh, I bet he slept in late. Like it matters… Kakashi-sensei won't be here for an hour or so any—"

"Yo!"

"—way?" Naruto said, turning around in shock.

Kakashi did his eye-smile and waved. Naruto and Sakura stared at him in shock. (Well, I did too, but I didn't show it.)

"What?"

Sakura was the first to speak. "You're… on time…"

"Well, actually I'm five minutes late. But who's counting?"

Kakashi pulled out his book and started to read. "Today we have a B-class mission. We need to head to the Hokage's office."

At that Naruto snapped out of his daze. "FINALLY!" Naruto jumped for joy at getting a mission of a higher ranking.

"Let's go," Kakashi said, putting away his book.

"This is a very important mission. I trust you have heard about the kidnappings?"

Team 7 all nodded. Tsunade smiled.

"Good. I'm glad that you all have been keeping up with the latest news. For your mission, you need to find the kidnapper and take them into custody. None of the people kidnapped so far have been ninja, so we don't think that the kidnapper will be very powerful. All the other Chuunin are either on vacation or on other missions, so we chose you. Any questions?"

Sakura was the only one that spoke. "Yes, Hokage-sama. How did you find the kidnapper?"

"We didn't," Tsunade said. Before we had time to respond, she said, "But we have found enough traces of chakra to know that the kidnapper always strikes in the same place. You three will scout there. Any other questions? No? Good! Now go get ready!"

As we left, Naruto called out, "See ya, Tsunade-baba!"

"DON'T CALL ME THAT, BRAT!"

I found a handy Japanese-English dictionary website, so I should be using Japanese words more often now. Thank goodness for the Internet! .

I couldn't find all the words I looked for, but oh well. It helps when I make up jutsus for these stories. (I haven't used any of them yet, but I might show one of my "jutsus" in my next story.)

This chapter isn't very long, but I'm not good at writing long stories. That's why Fox Angel was rushed. But I'll try to slow down in this one.

Naruto: Please do. I fell in love with Sasuke in the first chapter of Fox Angel.

Sasuke: And why would I hate the dobe?

Me: Dang it! You just ruined the whole story! Now they won't want to read it… T.T (sob)

Sasuke: After you talking about how rushed it was, they didn't want to read it before we even said anything.

Me: One more crack like that, and your hair turns green in the next chapter.

Sakura: Please review! For Sasuke-kun's hair!
