This Poem is Riku's point of view to Sora's poem Once Again
Abyss
There was something about his mischievously silly smile,
That always made me feel complete.
I stood there in the sea watching you,
Desperately trying to read out for my outstretched hand.
I couldn't move,
Suddenly I understood this was my punishment.
For existing.
"I'm not afraid," I told him gently
disappearing into the darkness of my heart,
my last glimpse of him fighting, breathing hand to reach the safety on my arms,
My world went dark as a wave that would tear us apart,
For what would seem like eternity , in our hearts.
When I awoke that's when someone spoke.
"Are you alright young man?" she asked.
"where am I?" I asked.
Feeling the beast within me rise.
Who were the people?
Where was I?
I was frantic.
"Calm down boy, we found you out there on the beach,
there you lay in the sand calling out for another young man."
"What is this place," I asked again.
"You're in a place we call abyss,"
Snatching away form her,
I ran.
It's been two years since that day,
Here I stand, looking suspiciously at the dark, tall buildings that surrounded me.
I felt a deadening pain clutch my heart.
I clasped my black hooded coat to my chest.
A fire now extinguished in my heart.
I could fell him,
I whispered to him though he'd never hear the words I'd spoken so far away.
"Hey guy, Hold your head up and look at me for I am who I used to be."
Suddenly my heart grew stronger. My source of power was memories.
"I'm coming Sora, just hold on."
It's been one year since that day.
Im my heat I pictured me walking onto that very beach that separated him from me.
There he was standing,
A look of longing placed upon his face so full of innocence.
Suddenly the darkness was gone
He turned around and looked at me.
There I was standing proud
Just the way he remembered me.
