I BELIEVED IN YOU

I believed in you.

You’re the reason I have faith and hope.

I believed you’d never understand the love I feel for you.

I believed we would be together once the fighting was done.

I believed that we would have the elusive dream of love, marriage and children.

I believed that our love was everlasting nothing would ever keep us apart.

I was wrong.

I think this now as you lay motionless on top of me.

I’m too shocked to cry now that you are gone.

I close my eyes and wait for my end.

Without you I believe I can’t go on.
